Truly, there isn't a single comparison I can make that would do this place justice-- but since I've spent quite a bit of time in tattoo shops across the world -- I'll say this. Jeremy has the God given talent of Ink Master OGs like Ami and C.Nunez in an inviting shop with plenty of ambiance and flare. The owner Pagan, met with us after he finished up his last appointment of the day. He was great! He was patient and real with us about style placement and took the time to give his full attention. He made us feel comfortable and excited about our endeavor. After about 5 minutes we decided we wanted him to do the work. After trying to figure out the best time for us to come back, he said "let's just do it now ", and so we did! Now keep in mind they were about to close for the day, and he didn't rush us or make us feel like we were imposing. This was a great experience for us. He was very personable and it was the most fun we've ever had a tattoo shop. My son was a little nervous about it because it was his first time, but Pagan made him feel at ease and even was cutting up with him, and now I think our son is hooked after his experience. Pagan and I discussed other tattoos for myself in the near future, so we will definitely be back. It's people like him that make these types of experiences enjoyable and something to look forward to.

I spoke with someone on the phone Friday. I asked if they're open on Mondays, and he told me "we…read moreare open for appointments only." So I asked "do you have any availability this coming Monday?" To which he responded "come in around 2 and ask for ______" I of course said thank you, and ended the conversation. He never asked for my name or number, but did ask what I wanted to get tattooed so at the time I thought nothing of it. I drove 35 miles and showed up Monday at 1, to a locked a door. No big deal, dude DID say 2 pm. So my sister and I went for lunch, and came back around 1:45pm. We sat until about 2:15pm, the door stayed locked and no one answered the phone. I messaged the shops Facebook page to inquire about getting in touch with someone, the person who answered asked for my number to give to the artist to get in touch with me, and then 'laugh reacted' my message stating that I'd been waiting outside for half an hour. The artist messaged me and I was greeted with a very nonchalant and unprofessional attitude, questioning who I'd spoken to over the phone in a very accusatory manner. I do not recommend this business, and have posted my conversation with the artist below. I 100% understand that things happen and sometimes appointments get overlooked- I was NOT upset about that. I was upset by the attitude at which I was greeted with both by the artist, and by the person running their Facebook page that thought my waiting outside for almost an hour was 'funny.' Not that I'd have wanted one, but at this point most decent artists would offer a reschedule- I didn't even receive that much of a courtesy for my wasted time. They get 1 star, only because 1 is the minimum requirement.

Getting pierced can be nerve wracking, but here, every member of staff is supportive, kind, accommodating, and reassuring and respectful. The piercer Violet's eye for detail has been frankly impressive, making my double nostril (with a mildly deviated septum!) piercings perfect. My vertical labret was no different. The rooms are private and welcoming, and every step is explained and described in detail. I cannot recommend Icon and Violet enough.

In my google search a comment on a Nashville Tattoos FB group popped up that Jake at Straight Edge Tattoo was running multiple flash sheets with part of the proceeds being donated to the Imagination Library in Dolly's honor. I had replied to the comment and asked if they were still running these not long after I got a response from Jake. I messaged him explaining we were only in town a few days and hoped to get in sometime the next day. Even though he was out of town for Redneck Rumble, he set us an appointment and came back to the shop the next day to get us in before we left! The hospitality was unmatched! I was so grateful that he was willing to do this for us. We chatted with some of the other artists that were getting ready to head to the show. The Dolly Parton flash was 1 for $80 or 2 for $100 and we both ended up getting 2. The shop was very clean and well maintained, they follow all the state guidelines for cleanness and proper paperwork. Every one in there was so inviting and hospitable. I would highly reccomend this shop and Jake as an artist. We will definitely be back next time we make it to Nashville! Thank you all for a great experience!
