The owner Pagan, met with us after he finished up his last appointment of the day. He was great! He was patient and real with us about style placement and took the time to give his full attention. He made us feel comfortable and excited about our endeavor. After about 5 minutes we decided we wanted him to do the work. After trying to figure out the best time for us to come back, he said "let's just do it now ", and so we did! Now keep in mind they were about to close for the day, and he didn't rush us or make us feel like we were imposing. This was a great experience for us. He was very personable and it was the most fun we've ever had a tattoo shop. My son was a little nervous about it because it was his first time, but Pagan made him feel at ease and even was cutting up with him, and now I think our son is hooked after his experience. Pagan and I discussed other tattoos for myself in the near future, so we will definitely be back. It's people like him that make these types of experiences enjoyable and something to look forward to.

I was freaking out, nervous as could be for her... Yes, it was just a piercing, but it was major to us folks who just have basic ones... Anyway, Jade (whom I highly recommend) calmed our nerves... She was very professional, patient, understanding, and eager to please... She even took photos of our experience, per our request... She went over aftercare instructions and provided us with a copy... Jade also supplied us with her personal cell on her business card and encouraged us to call, if we have any future questions or concerns. Oh, I also need to add that I called the day before to inquire about piercings at tattoo establishment vs Claire's, etc... The owner of Valhalla Tattoo, Pagan, answered the phone and explained things in detail... Based on our conversation, I decided this would be our place of choice.

I spoke with someone on the phone Friday. I asked if they're open on Mondays, and he told me "we…read moreare open for appointments only." So I asked "do you have any availability this coming Monday?" To which he responded "come in around 2 and ask for ______" I of course said thank you, and ended the conversation. He never asked for my name or number, but did ask what I wanted to get tattooed so at the time I thought nothing of it. I drove 35 miles and showed up Monday at 1, to a locked a door. No big deal, dude DID say 2 pm. So my sister and I went for lunch, and came back around 1:45pm. We sat until about 2:15pm, the door stayed locked and no one answered the phone. I messaged the shops Facebook page to inquire about getting in touch with someone, the person who answered asked for my number to give to the artist to get in touch with me, and then 'laugh reacted' my message stating that I'd been waiting outside for half an hour. The artist messaged me and I was greeted with a very nonchalant and unprofessional attitude, questioning who I'd spoken to over the phone in a very accusatory manner. I do not recommend this business, and have posted my conversation with the artist below. I 100% understand that things happen and sometimes appointments get overlooked- I was NOT upset about that. I was upset by the attitude at which I was greeted with both by the artist, and by the person running their Facebook page that thought my waiting outside for almost an hour was 'funny.' Not that I'd have wanted one, but at this point most decent artists would offer a reschedule- I didn't even receive that much of a courtesy for my wasted time. They get 1 star, only because 1 is the minimum requirement.

Our piercings were $30 each, and with the experience we received, I wouldn't have complained if it had been more. I came back the next night and he had created a beautiful design. It turned our larger than I expected but since it was so detailed he was concerned that a smaller image would blur and look really bad later. I have to say I think his guidance was right on! Get some manners! This business responded on twitter mocking the situation he created when degrading a customer and refusing to refund the deposit already paid without paperwork signed. He chose not to respond after being confronted with his business practice of having people pay, degrading them and keeping their money when they have been insulted. Sounds like Commerce needs to get involved with him stealing people's money without rendering services! I don't know about any one else, but I would never take my business to someone that insults paying customers!!! Save your money for someone that appreciate their customers!
