While in the Nashville area for buisness, we were looking to get a tattoo. We searched for Local Dolly Parton Flash tattoos near Nashville (what could be more Nashville than Dolly?) In my google search a comment on a Nashville Tattoos FB group popped up that Jake at Straight Edge Tattoo was running multiple flash sheets with part of the proceeds being donated to the Imagination Library in Dolly's honor. I had replied to the comment and asked if they were still running these not long after I got a response from Jake. I messaged him explaining we were only in town a few days and hoped to get in sometime the next day. Even though he was out of town for Redneck Rumble, he set us an appointment and came back to the shop the next day to get us in before we left! The hospitality was unmatched! I was so grateful that he was willing to do this for us. We chatted with some of the other artists that were getting ready to head to the show. The Dolly Parton flash was 1 for $80 or 2 for $100 and we both ended up getting 2. The shop was very clean and well maintained, they follow all the state guidelines for cleanness and proper paperwork. Every one in there was so inviting and hospitable. I would highly reccomend this shop and Jake as an artist. We will definitely be back next time we make it to Nashville! Thank you all for a great experience! read more

I walked into Straight Edge for a piercing and walked out with the confidence of Miss Universe with this nose ring y'all! :) SHOUT OUT to Brady, the piercer. He has bubbly personality! He's very professional, gentle during the process of piercing, and informative about aftercare. Brady's space is clean and organized. There are realistic illustrations of piercings on his wall, which really set the mood. The music he plays is easy on the ears. Overall, he's giving.... The best piercer on this side of the Atlantic Ocean! read more

These people are awesome. They came to our USMVMC convention and my husband, myself and my 2 friends got tattoos. Chris and Ryan were fantastic. Made us feel comfortable and the tattoos all came out amazing. If you're ever in Murfreesboro, hit them up. You won't be disappointed. Love y'all! Jax and Booboo read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. Chris was my artist and to say I was blown away by his talent is an understatement. I have had a few tattoos before and this one was best in ALL categories!!! From the music that was played to the conversation had...(sat for 4.5)......oh yea and a AWSOME tattoo!!! I'd tell my own grandmother to go here. read more

Very punctual, respectful and clean place to either get a piercing or tattoo done. Definitely would highly recommend to anyone

I've had work done from this shop (years back) and my dad has had a good bit of work done. They always did us right, which is why I wanted to go back (even though I live an hour away)... Tried many times to get in to get a new tattoo and I've never had to work so hard to give someone my money. Emailed the artist I wanted to use, and he must not be too hungry, since I'm still waiting on a response to my second email for about a week now. I've found someone local to me that has been extremely responsive and professional and is happy to take my money and I will now be leaving (reluctantly) Straight Edge behind.... Sad day, but that's the way she goes. I shouldn't have to put in work to give someone my hard earned cash. read more

I don't even know where to begin. I heard of this place through my sister and friend who had both gone to Heather for a couple of their pieces. I made an appointment with Heather then, who is incredibly sweet, understanding, and insanely talented. I don't plan on going to anyone else for a tattoo because she has set the bar way too high. Unlike most tattoo artists, she doesn't charge based on time. Rather, she will work around whatever your budget is and she's extremely generous with sizing and detail from there. If I could give the place 10 stars, I would. read more

I had a very good second experience here. Had my septum done here back when I was 16 and then came here again for my 18th birthday to get my tattoos done. I was super scared it wouldn't be perfect and I have a pretty low pain tolerance but Ryan was amazing with giving me exactly what I wanted. Thank you Ryan! :) read more

Went to Straight Edge for a third piercing today. Irish is awesome! I have been told by multiple people that he is the best in town, and I must agree read more

We went here to get my daughters Septum pierced. It was our first time in. It's super clean. Will was so professional and nice. The placement of the piercing looks amazing as well. We will definitely be coming back. Front desk lady could use a sprinkle of sugar in her coffee. She comes off as rude, but I think she is just blunt. I'm like that too so I understand. Great place!! read more

I 1st gave this place A 1star because I was having a bad day ... but it's not a proper reflection of this shop. This shop is beyond professional and capable of doing whatever you want. read more

Called ahead to get information about a piercing, they were nice one the phone. When I arrived there was a sign in sheet but a guy was near the door so I started asking questions to be sure I knew what was required. The guy who I spoke to does the piercings he had such an attitude that I decided they didn't need my money nor should I waste their time with such a terrible attitude. Left and will not return. read more

refused service after calling the shop and said they had walk ins available. When we got to the shop all the artist were sitting down and said they had no openings. read more

This place is amazing! I have gotten four piercings from Irish so far and I will never go anywhere else! You can tell he really knows what he's doing and makes the procedure as quick and painless as possible. read more

So obviously seeing a sign for a "25$ piercing" sounded like a steal for shoving a needle straight through a piece of skin, right? Wrong. I got my bridge done by Irish and if you don't know the bridge is between the eyes in the bridge of the nose. Without say a facial piercing should be straight.... and mine is very crooked and noticeable by peers. When I called to ask for what to do over the phone he said " uhh well people don't usually get that piercing done, just take it out, let it heal and you can come have it redone" which doesn't seem bad until I asked if I'd be paying for it and of course the answer is yes even though I already paid and I definitely want the guy who couldn't line up a piercing to redo my crooked job. Don't trust Irish unless you want to pay twice for a piercing you could've paid once for, and have it look right the first time :) read more

Very rude. The man at the front desk ignored us whenever we asked him a question. We then asked him the 2nd time and he acted like he didn't want to provide his service. We simply wanted to know how much getting a piercing would cost and the the gentleman couldn't cooperate. I suggest you to go somewhere else. Definitely not professional. read more

I recently had another tattoo done and had another great experience. I was able to be accommodated as a walk in. Cain was my tattoo artist and he did an excellent job. He was very nice and we made light conversation until I didn't want to talk because of the pain. My design came out exactly as I wanted and I am very pleased. The price was $80 which I believe was reasonable and I will definitely return when I am ready for more ink. read more

Great shop and does great work. My wife and I went in for our first tattoos and they took as walk-ins within the hour. They went over the whole process and we came in with the designs we wanted and made the whole process easy and comfortable. The results were fantastic and we were how amazed how quickly they did quality work. Our artist was a trained artist and specializes in portraits if that is what you are looking for, but I should note his lettering and lines are quite exceptional. The prices are reasonable ($60 per person per tattoo) and the whole experience was just outstanding. Would go back to Straight Edge if I get more ink. read more

I love this place! More specifically I love the artists there. They are so awesome and just plain fun to be around. This shop is way out of my way, but i wouldn't get tattooed anywhere else! read more

Very clean and professional. Great art! Went with a group and we all left very satisfied!

Ryan was awesome! Great work, reasonable pricing, and professional. I got my ink here on vacation, and I'll continue to do so whenever I come home. read more

This is the worst tattoo/body piercing establishment I've been to ever. The guy that does piercings is very unprofessional and rude, and will make you feel like you're a nuisance to him. Got declined on two separate occasions, both Saturday nights, because "he had been on his feet all day and was too tired". UNREAL read more

I have had 3 actual tattoos by chris, not stupid ones, 7 of my family members have had multiple tattoos by him. Top quality to say the least... I've seen tattoos on my other family members from coast to coast in the states, an Chris holds his own when it comes to quality. read more

Straight edge was phenomenal! I was there once before 3 years ago to get my first tattoo and it was a perfect experience! I went back as a return customer, was a walk-in, didn't have a difficult tattoo but wanted it pretty immediately! They were extremely accommodating, very patient, friendly, cooperative... Just the best ever! Christian did my tattoo and was fairly new to the shop... I would recommend him to anyone!! I barely had pain barely bled and he feels light-handed. My tattoo looks amazing and I will definitely go back for him again the next time around! Highly recommend this shop! read more

I got two tattoos by an artist, one came out great, the second one look nothing like the picture or what I wanted. When I went back to talk to the artist he had a major attitude and told me there was no way he could fix it and that he would not. He got an attitude when I showed him the picture of what Snow White was supposed to look like and what Snow White looks like on my ankle - needless to say I was right and he knew it. When he slammed his hand on the counter I realized there was no use trying to talk to him. Beware of who does your tattoos there. I'm extremely disappointed because I had heard such great reviews. Now I'll never return there. Too bad he can't take critism. read more

I walked in looking to get a black and gray realism piece done on my chest. And the guy at the front desk informed me that Straight Edge has a sister shop in town called 5th ELEMENT and that there was an Artist by the name of Ryan, that does kick ass realism tattoos. I scheduled my appointment on Tuesday, got the tattoo done the next day. And I could not be any more happier! STRAIGHT EDGE/ 5th Element, are the best tattoo shops in town read more
