Everyone is at their own pace, she is more patient that I am and gets my body where it needs to go gently and in its time. She is a gentle but firm instructor that consistently 'que's' proper placement/technique in a non-judgmental way - even though sometimes it is the 100th time I need to attend to my hands or feet or hips! ;). Ritual is located in a strip mall close to Trader Joe in Thousand Oaks. The studio offers a wide range of classes and a tasteful array of retail. The studio is bright and clean, and offers a relaxing calming studio. Outside of the studio there are plenty of places to store your belongings. My experience at the studio was great- despite the fact that I barely got to practice. I appreciated the yoga instructor and his patience during this experience- it was fun to have puppies in the class. The instructions throughout this experience was relaxing and informative. I look forward to trying a more typical class despite loving the distractions from puppies. Parking is ample at this strip mall. The shopping is busy so be careful in the lot and be prepared to walk a little bit.

From someone rehabbing back from an ACL knee injury, she has been a gem throughout that process helping me focus on my weaknesses. She has an incredible eye for detail and truly understand how the body moves. Every session feels intentional and personalized, with clear cues and small corrections that make a huge difference. I've built strength in muscles I didn't even know I wasn't using, and my posture, flexibility, and core stability have improved more than I expected. However, when I arrive there ON time, the front desk refused to let me in the class. I didn't get an email or any prior notice saying that they won't let me in if I don't arrive early. They also refused to return my ClassPass credit. If it's your policy, you should make it very clear that if someone is not 15 minutes early, they won't be let in. I'll make sure I never go back to this entitled place. Edit after owner's response: I'll just leave my review here for people's reference, and I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I just recommend you to change the language in "How to prepare" section to something like "you must arrive 15 minutes early or you will not be admitted to class" if you intend to enforce the policy because the language you have right now simply sounds a recommendation, not a rule. I've been coming to Club Pilates Simi Valley for quite a while now, and I finally made it into the…read more100 Class Club--yay! Such a rewarding milestone. I genuinely enjoy the classes, especially Maxeen's Suspend 1.5 and, more recently, Paula's classes as well. Maxeen has a very calm and encouraging teaching style. She explains movements clearly and thoroughly, and her workouts are always challenging in the best way. Paula brings a different energy--she's focused, disciplined, and reminds me of an old-school dance instructor. She's not for the faint of heart but she pushes you to work hard, and the results definitely show. I'm writing this while feeling the effects of both instructors' classes--my abs, hamstrings, and glutes are SO sore after taking Maxeen's Suspend class yesterday and Paula's class today. But honestly, I love it! I recently reduced my membership from 8 classes per month to 4, but after seeing how great I feel and the progress I'm making, I'm seriously considering increasing it again. The workouts are effective, the instructors are fantastic, and I always leave feeling stronger and happier. I'd also like to give a shout-out to the manager, Lex .
