They were respectful of my space and things - really making me feel like I was taken care of in a bad time (a water main break in my building and subsequent flooding).

Our house was built in 2000 so after 25 years of occasional leaks it seemed like a good idea to just check. Sure enough, lots of mold under the floor, behind the wall and under the cabinet into the hallway. Tyler salvaged what he could and thoroughly treated the affected areas. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bigger problem than I originally thought it was. Tyler said that often happens - once walls and flooring are removed it's not uncommon to find the problem is way bigger than anticipated. It almost made me wish I hadn't opened that can of worms since I'm now having to have a lot more remediation work done than I thought I would. But...keeping my home mold-free and safe for my family is important. Thank you Tyler for coming to the rescue again! Highly recommended!

We had a leaky faucet in the garage which went undiscovered until the drywall was shredded and mold was creeping up the wall. I've seen enough TV shows where people's homes can become unlivable due to mold infiltrating areas we can't see so I decided to call in a specialist to deal with this problem. Tyler carefully evaluated the situation and implemented a thorough mold remediation plan to make the needed repairs safely. His prompt service, attention to detail and reasonable cost were all big pluses in my book. I highly recommend Tyler and Ellipsis to handle any specialty restorations!

Unfortunately, they missed some mold, and I had to call them back to cut out more drywall. This was a big disappointment. I don't understand how it was missed. The missed mold was right up to the edge of the drywall, meaning the drywall they cut out would also have mold right up to the edge, and they are supposed to remove one foot past where the mold ends. I found it when I was putting insulation back in, and I could have easily missed it myself which could have led to the mold continuing to grow and having another big problem later.  Also, I was given a work authorization to sign, but with no written breakdown of what the work would actually entail: which parts of the house, the process to remove the mold, etc. I had to request this. All other mold mitigation companies I contacted gave me a quote with a very detailed written breakdown of the work to be performed. If you go with them, make sure you ask for the details of the work to be performed in writing and don't settle for just a verbal explanation of what they will do.

Then showed up 10 days later to grab their equipment and left. Charged my insurance company over $6,000 and once they got their money, I never heard from them again. For 3 months I left numerous voicemails which were never returned. I was initially told that they would be in touch with some proposals to replace the drywall, flooring, paint, etc. but never heard a single thing. So I was just left to scramble on my own and I am still attempting to find someone to finish putting my basement all back together and it has literally been over 4 months now. Live and learn I guess. I would have been better off renting a commercial shop vac and dehumidifiers and done it all myself and saved myself from being dropped by my insurance company. So very disappointing.

My basement was not nearly as bad as other people's, and I wanted help cleaning and with mold. They got back to me within a couple of days while I was on other companies' waitlists. They could have come out the same evening, but I had them wait until the next day which was more convenient. They came out, provided an estimate. I had questions, and I was able to say what I wanted done (eg. I didn't want the air purification for $1000 since my HVAC system has an air purification system in it that takes care of mold spores or the wall paint to protect from mold for $200 since I am already on a list to have my basement waterproofed in a month, and the walls are going to be dealt with). They were amenable to the changes. They were able to schedule me for the next day and do the work. They provided me with updates of the project. They took out more drywall than anticipated, but that's fine. I'll refinish the basement later. Garrett and Justin were both helpful. I recommend them. They listened, they were prompt, and I feel after talking with others in similar situations, the price was fair. They also did not demand insurance. I paid upfront.

It was basically "nope, you're on your own there, pal" which was not at all the case when I used Paul Davis Restoration for a prior water incident and some other company I can't remember for one before that. Both saw the thing through to fully restored. It's SO much easier if you can just find 1 vendor for the whole thing, even if they're just subbing out parts. So I think ServPro is more of a mitigation-only company, not a restoration company. At least for my incident. But of the work they actually did do I was impressed. The foreman was very friendly and addressed my questions, etc. He took great pictures of what they did, which helped me feel comfortable they actually did all they billed me for and will answer questions that may come up later. They had to cut out wall and floor and did it really neatly so at least it doesn't look terrible and the room is semi-functional while I'm in the process of finding a contractor to finish the job. Their containment system worked well and they cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. The communication with the Project Manager was pretty lousy before and after the work. They were prompt in coming over to begin the job and spent three days working in my house before leaving dehumidifiers on over the weekend. They had set up sensors to monitor the temperatures and humidity levels over the weekend but failed to check them. I came over to my house on a whim to check on it, and I found that the house had been heated to over 130 degrees on the bottom floor and 140 degrees on the top floor. The tech in charge told me that he was at a cookout drinking with friends and forgot to check the sensors. This overheating exploded wine bottles, cleaning supplies, and cosmetics and caused tens of thousands of dollars of additional damage to furniture, caulk, paint, and other personal items. Certi-Dry assured me that they would fully repair the damage they caused and replace all of the damaged items on numerous calls and in numerous emails. That was until they realized how much damage they'd caused and how expensive the repairs would be. It is now 10 weeks since the initial damage caused by the flood and 9 weeks since Certi-Dry damaged my home because of their negligence, and Certi-Dry (specifically Tyrone and the owner Dave) are refusing to give me a timeline about when they will complete repairs or replace items. I'm still living in a semi-functional and damaged home and I've had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket to replace items they damaged. Be very wary of working with this company. They are negligent and refuse to follow through on promises to fully repair and replace the damage.
