John was helpful throughout the process and gave thoughtful advice. We were originally going to replace all of our carpet upstairs but John suggested we replace only the hallway carpet with hardwood and keep most of our original carpet since it was in good shape. This was cheaper, looks much better, and gives us more flexibility in the future. He also worked with us to match our existing hardwood floors (during a supply shortage no less!) and secured some of the last available boxes of what was needed. Miguel and the installation team were great. They did the entire job in two days. They were able to weave the existing floor with the new one and you can't tell where the transitions are. The carpet install was seamless and looks phenomenal. After they left I noticed a few chipped boards. I let them know and they said they'd fix them. It took a few months to get them back onsite given their schedule, but when they did the boards were replaced and everything was touched up as requested. They were responsive throughout the process, patient, did great work, and were pleasure to work with.

You said that Danae had gotten my online inquiry and that she'd get back with. I stated that I wasn't trying to rush you and was patient because I want you to do the work. I reminded you that you said, "2 to 3 days (April 14) but it wasn't until April 24 that I got a concrete answer that you will not be doing the job. My contention isn't that you can't do the job, but that I wasn't given the courtesy to tell me that you weren't interested in providing the estimate nor would be able to do the job. If I hadn't called or inquired, I would never have gotten an answer at all. How could I give you a higher rating? You only came to look at the project. I can't grade you on quality, service or promptness because I have no reference point to go by. My review isn't harsh but simply stated as it happened. The Gonzalez contract stated scraping of old paint is included, but the team refused to scrape paint off my siding saying they don't do that. I brought it up with the foreman multiple times. Well, most of the exterior of my house is siding, so I would never have signed the contract if that was stated at the outset. See the attached photo for how they just spray paint over peeling paint. I called the owner and left a message but there was no return call. I won't get into other issues, but for this reason alone, I am giving 1 star.
