From here I took home bag of lightly roasted Ethiopian beans and made delicious pourovers for a month. I've had many pourovers at this point but these made some of the most memorable cups. During my visit I picked up a medium cold brew (excellent!) and avocado toast (avocado, tomato, sprouts, hemp seeds, chia seeds on multigrain bread, $6.00). The toast was splendid. I found no browning of the avocado and the tomatoes were fresh. I do think the bread could have been toasted longer. The service was a little awkward. I waited at the counter for a solid three minutes before I finally waved down a couple baristas chatting away. This is fine, I'm a pretty patient person and I will always support building healthy relationships with coworkers. The awkward part was the blank, unresponsive stare I received from one of the girls. Like I was breaking something up. I'll be using the drive-thru if I ever find myself here again.

The workers were helpful and happy to recommend what to drink/eat, and they seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I ordered the reishi cacao , which is basically a hot chocolate for adults, with adaptogenic mushrooms instead of marshmallows (I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary after drinking it). It was lovely! My parents enjoyed their latte and drip coffee. The prices are great, especially when I don't have to spend $8 on a latte. The only thing I did not appreciate was they didn't post what the prices were in the pastry case (the labels only had what it was, not the price too). All in all, a great experience and a great variety to choose from. I'd like to go back to try their breakfast sandwiches. My husband asked what was in the non-whey protein that they added. The lady at the till basically said "I don't know, it's a new thing," and left it at that. We waited over 20 minutes for 3 smoothies and a juice. We ordered a Green Machine, chocolate smoothie, and mango smoothie. They all tasted exactly the same--just tasted like straight whey. My daughter's juice was already separated when she got it, and it was super chunky--more like a smoothie with too much water. The place gave the vibe that no one really wanted [us] to be there. I get that it was New Year's Eve, but we probably won't be back next time we're in town.

I contacted The Fruit Boutique on Friday at 2:15pm in a panic. A well-named national floral delivery company ( not naming names here) fell through at the very last min and was not going to be able to deliver the gift we ordered ahead of time. They offered to send the gift next Tuesday instead of the date requested. I said not acceptable and decided to cancel the order. Panicked- I googled local businesses in Bismarck that looked like they could help in a pinch. Tamara from The Fruit Boutique came through and reassured me that she could deliver the fruit bouquet the same day and then texted me a pic of the items we discussed. Grandma received her fruit bouquet a few hours later and was ecstatic. Thank you, Tamara, for helping to make Grandma's birthday special. I appreciate the attention to detail, thorough communications, and great customer service.
