The workers were helpful and happy to recommend what to drink/eat, and they seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I ordered the reishi cacao , which is basically a hot chocolate for adults, with adaptogenic mushrooms instead of marshmallows (I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary after drinking it). It was lovely! My parents enjoyed their latte and drip coffee. The prices are great, especially when I don't have to spend $8 on a latte. The only thing I did not appreciate was they didn't post what the prices were in the pastry case (the labels only had what it was, not the price too). All in all, a great experience and a great variety to choose from. I'd like to go back to try their breakfast sandwiches. Accessibility: I appreciate the handicap accessible door, but wasn't able to check the bathrooms. Hours of Operation as of May 2026 M-F : 6am to 4pm Sat : 8am to 4pm Sun : closed

From here I took home bag of lightly roasted Ethiopian beans and made delicious pourovers for a month. I've had many pourovers at this point but these made some of the most memorable cups. During my visit I picked up a medium cold brew (excellent!) and avocado toast (avocado, tomato, sprouts, hemp seeds, chia seeds on multigrain bread, $6.00). The toast was splendid. I found no browning of the avocado and the tomatoes were fresh. I do think the bread could have been toasted longer. The service was a little awkward. I waited at the counter for a solid three minutes before I finally waved down a couple baristas chatting away. This is fine, I'm a pretty patient person and I will always support building healthy relationships with coworkers. The awkward part was the blank, unresponsive stare I received from one of the girls. Like I was breaking something up. I'll be using the drive-thru if I ever find myself here again.

There's just something magical about being on a road trip and eating gas station food - at least…read morethat's the case for me. It's happened time and time again - the most recent being just last month, when on the road finishing out visiting all 50 US States. ND was my 50th. Anyway, while in Bismarck, stopped off at Landers and had a great experience. It was a simple lunch - An Italian sub and a cup of soup. Tossed in chips and a salad too. Getting ahead of myself. It's in the building of a gas station. One side is the convenience store the other is Landers. Counter where your food is made to order and seating. It's not table service - walk up to the counter, order and find a seat. Your food will be brought to you. When you're done, head to register to pay the bill. It's not easy to capture how tasty my meal was with words. But as I've said a countless number of times, if our tastes align, you'll love this place. Everything from the bun, to the soup and chips. I devoured it all leaving the salad for my friend. I especially enjoyed how the sub's ingredients were evenly loaded. Had a taste of it all in every bite. Unlike other experiences where it's all lettuce or the sauce is overpowering. The chips weren't too greasy or salty and the soup was just tied everything together. Obviously I'm not a regular but I know if I lived in the area, I would be and then some. Definitely the duke. If you're in the area, it's definitely a must.

**July 2025: Thursday Afternoon Visit**…read more Look, I know a lot of people will give me a hard time for ranking gas station food five stars, but this store is well deserved. Also the hours are 10am-3pm, which are much shorter than the gas station hours (I only know because I came back the next day lol). The deli has everything made to order so it's as fresh as it gets! I ordered a half sammy and soup combo ($13.99) w/ fountain drink, as well as a salad entree because I couldn't decide what to order. They brought the food to me at the table and quickly realized that it was way too much food. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it all. The sandwich bread had a nice chew to it and the ratio of all the ingredients were well balanced. As for the soup it was flavorful, not too salty, and just made me feel all warm inside. I really liked the micro greens in the salad as well as the slices of fresh avocado. While it's located inside a gas station, it really acts like an independent deli shop that has a good steady flow of customers. I wish we had a shop like this back home because I would definitely be a regular!
