HVAC Installation Review - Myrtle Beach, SC I purchased a…read morenew unit in May of last year after my old unit had clearly seen better days. It was running constantly and often relying on auxiliary power. At the time, my wife had just been diagnosed with heart failure, so it was very important to me to ensure she was comfortable. Our previous unit simply wasn't reliable anymore. The Good: The new unit itself has been excellent. It runs smoothly, efficiently, and our power bill has noticeably decreased. We also opted for the variable-speed fan, which we absolutely love. From a performance standpoint, I couldn't ask for anything better. The Bad: Our experience during the sales process was frustrating. The representative (Mo) arrived quickly and began presenting options. I had previously been told our old unit was undersized for our home, so I specifically asked for a proper evaluation to ensure we were getting the correct size system. Unfortunately, I would describe the sales approach as very similar to a car salesman--lots of reassurance but very little detail. I repeatedly asked for a full cost breakdown (unit, labor, additional components, etc.), but was consistently told, "Don't worry about it, everything is included," without any real transparency. The Ugly: After doing more research and speaking with other companies, I strongly feel that we overpaid--potentially by 30% or more. At our one-year check-up, the unit was running perfectly. However, we were told that our ductwork now needs to be cleaned. This was disappointing, as duct concerns were discussed during the initial consultation and we were assured everything would be addressed. Now it feels like an additional expense that should have been handled or clearly communicated upfront. Final Thoughts: While the equipment itself is excellent, the lack of transparency and follow-through during the sales process was a major concern. My recommendation is to shop around, get multiple quotes, and insist on a detailed breakdown before making a decision. I believe there are other companies out there that can provide the same quality equipment with better honesty and pricing

I had already did the research and knew where the price should have been . Thanks Mo . the unit was installed the next day. I can get many years of service out of the unit.

They came to check on the unit on June 3, 2026 which is 7 years old. Interesting enough two people came, one in a service truck Jason and Tom in a company car. I went into the attic with them. Jason did some work while all Tom did was bs about the Steelers and other things. All of a sudden Tom pulls out a Ref Tek refrigerant and gives it to Jason who detects a leak. Interesting that Jason did not have the tool. I suspected that the tool was designed to give a false reading. They said that to fix the unit would cost between 4,000-7,000 but a new Goodman would cost 10,000-12,000 and they can provide financing. He said they could do the new installation on Friday June 5, 2026. I told Tom I would let him know. He said he would call me at 3:00 PM to check on whether I was going to do it. I called two companies and they came in and found nothing wrong with the unit. I called Swift and told them to cancel the service contract and they said they would not refund the money. I spoke to their manager and after telling him what they did. He said Tom was there to explain things to the homeowner. I told him that I did not fall off the turnip truck and worked 30 years in law enforcement and Yom was nothing more than a salesperson and this was fraud what Swift was doing. He agreed to refund the contract. I would never recommend them or let them in my house again.

Had someone come today (Robert??? Ryan??? I wish I had definitively caught his name, but he said he…read morewas the Operations Manager) and he was super friendly and helpful. I just bought a house and needed about $2k of mold remediation, which he performed with seemingly a lot of experience, being patient and understanding as we moved our terrorist dogs from room to room for hours to keep them out of his way. He was also just funny and a down-to-earth guy. I'm not from the South, just moved here, but he's the type of person who makes me realize how much more enjoyable people down here are than they are in Southern California, lol. Would hire again & will recommend.

Owned and operated by Greg Busang, a Marine Corp. Veteran, who has a passion for helping people. After discovering Bactronix and their incredible company, products and services, he knew that he needed to help expand on the fantastic work they were doing in the Pittsburgh region to help remove mold, mildew and other bacteria from homes and businesses. Our Grand Strand area of Myrtle Beach is highly susceptible to mold, mildew, odors and bacteria due to our humid conditions, so Greg pinpointed Myrtle Beach as a place that could use Bactronix's help right away and started up a mold removal company. Air duct cleaning, disinfection, odor control, and water intrusion dryout/sanitization are some of the other services provided.
