The most interesting things they have to offer appear to be placed in highlighted locations around the room and they really are beautiful pieces. Compared to the quality and prices of vintage in London, everything in Reign is a complete bargain, with most items in great condition and ranging from £5-£30. Apparently frequented by Emma Watson, Reign is a gem in the midst of Cowley road.

There are rails and rails of clothes from the 1920s onwards, a men's section on the third floor and oodles of linen, accessories, hats and suitcases. Even old, working sewing machines, buttons and fabulous Vogue patterns from the 1950s. Just when you think you've seen everything, there's another nook or cranny just waiting to be explored. The only heartbreaking thing is that in many cases, the sizes are just too small for most people today. A consequence of changing body shapes, I suppose. But if you are a size 16, then prepare for a long rummage to find something your size. I know, I've been there. But if you look like Christina Hendricks, there's every chance you could leave looking like an extra from Mad Men or like you've walked from the pages of The Best of Everything. Racks are overburdened to the point that if you manage to pull something out, you will not be able to shove that hanger back in. The shop pieces are mostly better for women than men, unless you're looking for nice blazer, jacket, or costume. There are quite a few nice menswear pieces in there. And if you have a specific style in mind, for example, a nice tweed, the the owner lady definitely has some kind of mental catalog of her stock. So if you feel overwhelmed, she can pick some stuff out for you if she has an idea of what you're looking for. Prices aren't the cheapest, but this place is a treasure trove of vintage one-offs if that means any added value to you. Also, no price tags. She prices items as you ask her. From what I gather, it depends on the age and value of the brand.

The shop has a website too which will give you a much broader look at what they sell. When i first went into this shop i was quite amazed at the smell, its smelt of insense- lots and lots of insense mixed with some sort of drug, it must ahve been. But whatever it was it smelt great! A good feeling whilst being in there and coming out! The staff are super friendly here and will do whatever they can to help out! This can also be said about the online/phone teams too! Although they are based in Bury St Edmonds, which is very close. The shp sells lots of trainers and hoodies and combats and skirts, all by well known brands too which can be seen from some of th prices. Which although fair i suppose could eb lower. They have lots of colour in the shop too, and you just want to look at everything. It really is very weird but cool at the same time! So if your looking for a new bong or bandana or even trainers sunrise has it all! Definately worth going to even if you dont want or need to buy anything! I had to eat these words before they even came out of my mouth. Vintage Heaven does live up to its name by being not only very competitively priced but also stocked to the brim with goodies. They even have bloomers and although some people might draw the line at second hand pants, I say if you're going to do it, do it right. You could actually get an entire outfit here from bloomers to coat and hat for under £100 although you might be put off trying it on in their skanky cupboard of a fitting room. Despite that little inconvenience, I have to say, I am rather impressed and this shop might even make it possible on a rainy day to knock off walking all the way down Cheshire Street to Beyond Retro.

They sell/stock classical menswear, ladies wear, kids wear and accessories at reasonable prices. The members of staff are polite and very helpful. If you want to experience the true essence of vintage then Vintage Heaven is the place to be.

Soho Vintage, well, it kinda ticks my boxes. It's not huge but it has a decent enough selection. It also seems to stock some great men's wear. Need a leather jacket? You'll find one here boys. The shop is hidden off a back street and can be missed but if you're in the area it's worth popping in. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful if a little distracted by the phone. Yesterday I happened upon a perfectly respectable little vintage store hidden away on an an…read moreotherwise abandoned and un-trafficked corner of Soho. Encouraged by an easel sign on the busy Broadwick Street, I headed down the quiet Ingestre Place to the open door (and arms) of Soho Vintage. The tiny space was filled with a plethora of styles. From an antique Victorian skirt to the 80s off-the-shoulder sweatshirts that are all the rage right now, Soho Vintage represented all. The prices were a bit on the dear side but, considering its prime location in Soho, not surprisingly so. If you find something you absolutely must have, a little light haggling might work for you here, since the shop is so small - rue the fact that those vintage boots are £35 and you might get them for £30. Overall, this proved to be a solid vintage store with a wide variety of items (at a variety of price ranges) that belied the shop's size.

Factory Outlet North Finchley is nothing like that. There are some good deals to be had, even a rack starting at just 5 pounds. I'll admit the clothes in this shop are taste-full and beautiful. There is a particularly nice brown ruffle dress in a silky material for 22 pounds and some lovely knits that wrap around your body. The staff here is friendly enough and not up your arse, in a way that is common in a small store. I like to come in here and have a poke around. I will note this store only sells clothing so no handbags or shoes on offer.
