The second time the service was timely but it was just two of us. Both times I got the dosa and its amazing! The sauces are flavorful. The sambar is great. The dosa is massive and very filling! I Will continue to go here for food.

There was plenty of tables but just not coming to check the front. First red flag. They finally sat us, never asked anything for drinks nothing. Very rude. We waited a good 20 min with no one coming over. Finally someone came over to take our order. I explained I needed GLuten free and diary free and was wondering why non of the veg apps were gf when usually they are. The server had no clue. Explaining that they have yogurt I showed him the symbol that said it was vegan so there couldn't be yoghurt. He said he'd go ask. We waited another 5 min or so then decided to get up. They were also rude to other people sitting around us and they messed up other orders. We decided it wasn't worth spending any more time and especially money so we left. Definitely don't recommend

We had the Chicken 65 which is essentially spicy fried chicken bites with onion and sauce, and the chili chicken which is a bit more like General Tsao's but with a twist. Both were tangy and wonderful. The lamb vindaloo, heat 7 of 10, was just right for us - liking hot but not burning. The lamb and potatoes were tender, and there was the the right amount of sauce or gravy for the rice. The chicken tikka masala was perfect, again tender chicken and just the right heat at 7. But it was so filling we couldn't finish it all. It'll make a nice leftover for lunch tomorrow! The malai kofta had a slightly sweet and certainly spicy flavor, at an 8, and we finished it all - it was so good. Topped it off with garlic naan, and some Sprites. We'll be coming back, and also doing carry out!

Important Note: this is behind the Boost Mobile, and not so easy to see. A family-run three-person operation, Mithu is exactly the kind of restaurant operation that elevates a community. It's located in the Towne & Country shopping center, which has other proud national restaurants. I started off with the Gobi Manchurian, which really shows off cauliflower at its best. Savory, crispy, with a sweet slightly spicy tang. (You can customize the spiciness of most dishes on a 1-10 scale.) The Kottu Roti might best be described as Sri Lankan stuffing, light and flavorful. A complex dish with the flavor profile that just kept giving little sparkles of delight. The garlic naan, screamingly hot out of the tandoor, was a perfect vehicle for the other dishes. The mango lasi was fresh and not too sweet, highlighting the fruit. A+ would sip again. The staff are wonderful, attentive, and enthusiastic. This is a great place to bring friends and explore the menu. You'll thank me later.

However their online ordering states veggies are in it and there were none in the take out container - beware that chicken tikka listed on the online menu is not the same as chicken tikka masala! We still ate it - good variety of veggies- but it has a strong numbing spicy sensation even when ordered as mild. - garlic naan that costs $4 for one piece(!!) was plain naan when we got it. Unfortunately it missed the mark for us overall.

I put in an online lunch order for these as well as ras malai, and chicken kadhai and chicken fried rice for my husband (the menu noted it's their specialty). The restaurant called as my husband was pulling in and they were out of my two appetizers and the kheer dessert (my whole meal). We didn't want to cancel on them so I figured I would share his. The kadhai was very good -the meat was tender and the sauce was delish. The portion, for the price, was a bit steep. Maybe a scant cup of meat, a cup of sauce, and a cup and a half of rice for $15 -no sides or bread. The chicken fried rice wasn't great. Salt helped, but it was maybe a 5/10. The ras malai was really, really off-putting. I worried at one point that the balls were actually styrofoam and not food. Further, they were not in a cardamom condensed milk -they were in plain sugar syrup and they were definitely not cottage cheese patties. I checked against the website to ensure they didn't prepare them a different way -I think, perhaps, they were out of that item as well and threw a few things together. It was, really, really bad. I would probably not try again -from being out of half our food to us only liking one item, too costly and too much of a risk.
