The tennis center has a variety of courts, including the main courts and several smaller courts, which I thought made it a great location to host the DC Open. The facility is very spacious, and there are plenty of bathrooms available throughout the center, which was definitely convenient with such a large crowd. The only downside for me was the parking situation during the event. Parking wasn't the easiest to navigate, but I'm assuming that on a regular day when there isn't a major event happening, parking is much easier and accessing the courts is more convenient. Overall, I thought this was a great venue for the DC Open, and I enjoyed my experience visiting the tennis center!

There were several children from tennis camps in attendance and they actively engaged them and imparted encouraging words. I had a great time. As someone who grew up in the area and went to school in College Park, I somehow had no idea this place even existed! Even though the facility is slated for renovations soon, it's still very nice in its current state. They have both indoor and outdoor courts, spacious locker rooms, and a really nice clubhouse area. The atmosphere felt active and welcoming, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff members assigned as our coaches for the day were also incredibly kind and patient as they helped us work on our form and learn the basics of tennis. As someone newer to the sport, I really appreciated how encouraging and approachable they were. I've recently picked up tennis as a hobby and have been exploring clubs in the area to potentially join, and JTCC is definitely high on my list now. My only small critique is that I wasn't able to speak with anyone at the front desk because it was so busy, and the website doesn't list membership pricing, so I'll have to call for more details. Still, overall I left really impressed and excited to come back!

It's a short drive from the DC area and definitely worth it. JTCC's facilities and team are top tier. A friend and I started level 1 tennis lessons with Coach Frank and had a blast. They currently have an offer where if you buy one group lesson package ($60) you get to bring a friend with you for free. My friend and I learned so much over the 3 weeks that we attended. They have various day and time options for you to choose from and there's an ample amount of parking. My friend I are now taking tennis 2 lessons once a week and we are obsessed. Kenmont boasts 3 separate pools (Kids, main and lap pools), a basket ball, and 2 tennis courts. It also has a huge picnic area and 6-8 grills for the members. We do not have Mr. Patrick (gentlemen who used to sell snacks for the kids) but we have state-of the art vending machines ;-). There has been lots of facility upgrades such as the stairs going to the courts, new fans in the clubhouse, a filtered automatic water fountain, new led lights in the pool (nice during night swims). Kenmont also formed several committees such as the improvement committee, social, management liaison, etc. to respond and address the needs of the members. Communications to the members are timely and efficient. This pool rocks!

This is a cute playground outside of Friendship Rec center in the Upper northwest part of DC. I…read moretook my toddler here on a Tuesday afternoon. It was pretty quiet (just nannies and a few kids) until the private schools let out and kids in Gucci shoes followed by moms in neon colored Chanel boots showed up and it became quite crowded. We left not too long after this because a few of these unruly children who were not being watched by their moms repeatedly tried to bully my 2 year old out of the sand area. Before these children arrived, we had a great time with the various slides and toys left behind in the sand. There's lots of open space, tennis courts, and a separate section for older kids. Parking is on the street and highly coveted. I noticed many cars circling on our way out. It looks like there's a splash pad here as well. I might take my son back here but would definitely choose to come earlier than later.
