Kenmont boasts 3 separate pools (Kids, main and lap pools), a basket ball, and 2 tennis courts. It also has a huge picnic area and 6-8 grills for the members. We do not have Mr. Patrick (gentlemen who used to sell snacks for the kids) but we have state-of the art vending machines ;-). There has been lots of facility upgrades such as the stairs going to the courts, new fans in the clubhouse, a filtered automatic water fountain, new led lights in the pool (nice during night swims). Kenmont also formed several committees such as the improvement committee, social, management liaison, etc. to respond and address the needs of the members. Communications to the members are timely and efficient. This pool rocks!

The women's selection of clothes is perfect! I love love love golf attire. I have been buying pieces from each golf course like the guys do and the fabric and material is great. I rather wear golf shirts as lounge wear because of the comfort. My PGA shirt from Florida is so comfy. With that said although PGA is the biggest Golf store it stays crowded and bays are usually full. They definitely have more variety but not sure they have the same trade in deal as the competitors. Overall the value is great and golf stuff is pretty competitive in price. We come often when we are actually here in the DMV on the weekends. Come September I'll have to take my golf set on the road and I'm grateful they had smaller carrying cases so I can just take my range clubs to practice. This is the ultimate rich person sport so fair warning! This is not for the cheapskates!

I brought a friend who's new to golf to try some irons. We were told to wait, and after about 10 minutes, an employee named Dan took us to a simulator. When my friend said he wanted to "hit balls," Dan immediately got condescending and reprimanded us, even though it was clear my friend was new and simply misspoke. Later, when I asked to try a couple clubs while my friend grabbed others, Dan asked if I planned to buy anything. I said possibly, depending on the data and pricing. He responded with a sarcastic comment implying I was just there to "bang balls," then walked off saying, "have fun banging balls." The entire interaction was unprofessional and left a really bad impression. Unfortunately, I won't be returning after this experience.

My littles would love coming here and love going on the trains or carousel or the picnics we would have when I was a sahm. So many nice comminuty events held here etc. The parks been through a lot of renovations. One section has really clean bathrooms and there's an exercise stations which is geared for most ages. There's a part here that will connect you to Brookside Gardens. The park is very well maintained.

The train was the same, but it was closed for repair the day I was there. The biggest downfall was I could only find portapotties. However, this park was a lot of fun to visit for a day.

It's a trail in the middle of the city, except you don't have that city environment when you're on this trail! We had parked in Parking Lot 6, and there was plenty of parking remaining on a Saturday afternoon. When we went on the trail, a part of the road was blocked off to cars, so it's a great place to cycle, walk, or skate. As we walked, we saw a few people on unicycles and roller blading. That part of the trail was an easy walk since it's normally meant for cars. Eventually, we crossed a bridge to head to the not-so-hidden ruins. Apparently, a few months ago, these ruins were open to the public to explore. I visited this today and they were gated/blocked off with a "no trespassing" sign. These ruins are apparently pieces of the US Capitol Building after it was renovated in 1958. From my understanding, they weren't sure what to do with the stones, so they dumped it in this park. Need these ruins is also a horse trail/horse barn area.

You'll get a warmup in trekking those 3 levels via stairs, but an elevator is readily available for accommodating all accessibility levels. Ever since then I have remain a committed member of OneLife at Pike & Rose for a number of reasons: 1. Pike & Rose staff and trainers are awesome! Everyone is willing to help and answer your questions. If you frequent the gym consistently, say 2 or 3 times a week as do I, gym staff and workout buddies will become a positive influence in your life. This helps you want to return to the gym on a regular consistent basis. 2. The outdoor astroturf workout space as well as the natural light throughout the East and South-facing gym always supply good visual energy. I have yet to find a gym with the high quality of natural light Pike & Rose supplies to members. 3. Local manager Skyler and Fitness Director Carolyn listen to members questions and/or concerns. The over all quality of the gym, the efficiency of equipment, the way in which members approach and use the gym are all on Skyler and Carolyn's radar. They may not be able to remedy a situation at any given moment for a number of valid reasons yet they will make a note. And they are always looking for ways to improve our experience at OneLife. Things do change for the better; new equipment arrives and class schedules are adjusted to help members. 4. The personal trainers are awesome! Every single one of them is kind, polite, friendly and approachable. You can always ask them a question or two and if they can't help you, they will direct you to someone who can. Over the years I have worked out with a number of personal trainers and I can guarantee you this: you fitness achievements will increase so long as you stick to it. What ever you are facing as far a personal limitations and/or goals go, your personal trainer will work with you to help you achieve your fitness goals while remaining mindful of any physical constraints that may need extra attention. Over time, the returns on your investment working out with a personal trainer will manifest themselves in a positive way (body, mind & spirit). 5. Lastly, the cleanliness of the gym and locker rooms remains attended to throughout the day. Cleaning staff are great, I enjoy seeing them as well when I work out at Pike & Rose.
