Resume Scripter's has changed how I think about my skills and my professional worth for the absolute better! I had no idea how many possibilities were available to me, but Andrea, Kristin and Olivia really helped open my eyes to new heights. They were always responsive and easy to communicate with. They make the process very easy and go in depth to really dig out what you can do and how it translates to what you want. Thank you so much for helping me achieve such my professional goals! read more

Working with Andrea had given me such a boost of confidence that I needed. It was a game changer once the work Andrea had done was posted. I was being contacted by many recruiters which was not the case before. Offers were for higher positions with higher salary of course. I am very happy that I took a chance and invested in her service. Andrea was very detailed oriented, genuine and cared deeply of my success. She even touched base with me after a while to check on how I was doing. Personal touch is always appreciated. read more

I hired Andrea for a basic resume to leave clinical dentistry. She gladly took my money and then did not hold up to her end of allowing any changes, She refused to talk to get pertinent information to make the resume acceptable and stole my money when I got a horrible resume that did not help in any way and refused a refund. She is a scam artist and horrible at what she does read more

DO NOT USE THE SERVICE. IT DOES NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!! The questionnaire she sent me to complete was irrelevant, but I answered them anyway. Because it claims that if you add more information later, she will charge me for more, I wrote as much as I could to provide all information at ONE TIME. And the first draft? I was deeply disgusted by what I saw once I opened it. It is full of typos and things that are not even true. Let's not even mention the ugly template. It does not worth the money and time I spent read more

I've taken advantage of Andrea's superior resume writing skills twice in the last 4 years. Her services have been a difference maker in my job searches; leading to more interviews and offers than I would be able to land on my own. Andrea, thank you for your hard work and dedication! read more

It was one thing to share how Andrea helped me develop a resume of which I could be proud; it's another to come back to describe how positive an impact her services have made on my career. This summer, Andrea helped me revamp my resume, helping me identify a number of key recent accomplishments while describing the whole of my career in a succinct but attention-grabbing way. With this resume and the confidence that accompanied it in my tool bag I was able to secure a wonderful new job working on a project that capitalizes on my skills and my interests. Aware that this would be a competitive job, as I prepared for the job I returned to Andrea for interview coaching. Andrea helped me identify the highlights of my career and discuss them with the interviewer. IT WORKED. Not only is that job much better-paying than what I had been working on previously -- meaning I quickly recouped my investment in working with Andrea, and then some -- but it's a job I very much enjoy doing. That's what really makes Andrea invaluable: she didn't simply help me find a job, she was true to her business name of Resume Scripter and helped me tell, shape, and reshape the story of my career. Much of my work is freelance, so I rely on my resume more frequently than many people as I make introductions to new clients. I'm so glad I've had Andrea's help to make those introductions strong and successful. I look forward to returning to her in the future when I need to make further steps in my career. read more

Andrea at Resume Scripter is phenomenal. Her initial process includes a questionnaire and it is VERY helpful for you (the customer) to be as detailed as possible so she can capture the key words for your resume. She transformed my resume and it looks superb. She included skills that were hard to find in my previous resume and it looks fantastic. She is an awesome communicator and is very detailed. She was very patient and attentive in getting my resume completed. I will recommend her services and her work absolutely speaks for itself. Her choice of wording and how it is placed in the resume is outstanding. Her professionalism proves that she has been doing this for quite some time. She answered my many questions. I am so impressed with her Resume service I plan to proceed with assistance on my cover letter as well as LinkedIn. Andrea thanks so much you're truly amazing! read more

I recently worked with Resume Scripter to revise my 3 page CV. To start, I am satisfied with the overall product. Andrea did the work I didn't have the time to do (re-organize, convert and re-format), but in retrospect, I wish I did more research, and went with the company that was more familiar with clinical research/research administration field. Bottom line, if you are a recent college grad or a mid level manager, this service would be absolutely perfect. For more senior level work, I suggest you look into a person/company who works directlyin the field you are in. Pros - re-formatted my CV, re-worded objectives and responsibilities, highlighted technical skills. Responsive and takes feedback for revisions well. Open lines of communication. I prefer email, but if you are a phone person, that will cost you additional. Cons - I provided Andrea with two job positing that I applied for to use as a point of reference. I do not feel that Andrea did the necessary research or used those positings to help inform the new CV. I ended up having to provide language for Andrea to use on the CV, as she said that she was not familiar with my field. The 1 page CV is $224.99 - Reasonable. There is also an additional fee of $95 per page, if your resume is more than 1 page- Reasonable. I was charged an additional fee of $95 for my CV being "executive" - still not sure why. The cover letter charge, which is not listed on the website a separate option, was quoted to me at $195 and non negotiable, which I decided not to purchase. read more

Working multiple minimum wage jobs post graduation in New York City is perhaps the worst thing a college graduate can do to both their bank accounts and psyche. I was desperate for a full-time job that would not only offer me benefits, but would guarantee me set hours and a decent pay check. You may ask, "Well why didn't you plan ahead? Make sure you had a job before you moved to NYC?" I did. I sent out my resume to dozens of companies, and even resulted to good ol' Craigslist. However, I wasn't getting call backs to come in for an interviews and the feedback on Craigslist was sketch. Both desperate and broke I decided to invest the last of my savings into a professional resume service, and that's when I came across Andrea. Andrea was able to highlight my qualifications and package them onto one page. She was understanding to the changes I wanted her to make after the first draft, and totally gave me the confidence to land the job I wanted. It's been a year since I've used Andrea's services and I have since secured a job WITH BENEFITS. Thanks, Andrea for all your help. read more

I was in the market and looking for a change in my profile especially since i work in the Executive profile. I had a great resume but it was way too long and just didn't bring out the essence and bring focus to what i wanted it to. I found Andrea after some research online. She wasn't a typical business owner looking for more clients. I actually had to wait a while for her to free up since she believes in focussing on the work she does and giving it a 100%. Finally when we started collaborating, it was awesome. It was a very interactive process and the resume i finally ended up with was awesome, succinct and very professional. She did a fantastic job and i couldn't be happier. I have even recommended my co workers to her so they also can reap the benefits. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

I recently moved from Ohio to NYC in an effort to improve my career options and, hopefully, find a job that's less soul destroying than my previous one. However, for the last 6 years, I've worked jobs that had little or nothing to do with what I studied in college. Needless to say, my resume was pretty stale and generic. I contacted Andrea at Resume Scripter after running across the website, and I couldn't be happier with the results! She requested that I send her a copy of the resume I was using at the time, as well as some information regarding what sort of job I'm looking for. The next day she sent back a resume that was much more clear and concise than the 3 page monstrosity I had sent her. It was nicely formatted and presented in separate Microsoft Word and PDF documents as well. She was able to scale my old resume down to one page but still emphasize my strengths despite my lack of current work experience in the career field I'm pursuing. As a testament to this service, I've already gotten one freelance assignment based on this resume. Now I have some current work experience and, consequently, more confidence while job hunting! I would definitely recommend this service to anyone. It doesn't matter if you're making a drastic life change like me or you're a recent college graduate looking for that first job. Based on my experience, I have no doubt at all you'll be satisfied with the results. read more

Andrea Gerson is the best provider in the field. I saw a job posting that I felt was my dream job. I even emailed her sample jobs I wanted so she could get a feel for the type of firm I wanted. I saw resume writing as an investment. I was willing to pay anything as long as I got the product I wanted. After all, I would not go to a mechanic to perform heart surgery. Resume writing is not my forte so I would rather pay a professional. Of course there are many to choose from, especially in DC (where I am located). I looked at companies in DC, NYC, and CA. Based on YELP reviews, I emailed Andrea, and that was the best thing I could have done. As a professional (I am an attorney), I came to Andrea to do an overhaul because I was going to demand a high salary for my qualifications. I needed my resume to reflect the same. Having worked for a solo practitioner, I gained a broad spectrum of experience over several years. The first thing she did was send me a detailed questionnaire. I spent time (and performed a lot of introspection) to answer her questions and I wrote my heart out! She also asked for job postings that interested me. Andrea is an artist when it comes to resume writing. The first thing you will notice is the beautiful, eye-catching formatting. Second, she thought to include details about the amount of revenue I brought in as an Associate. Third, she.knew which keywords to use to make my work impressive to interviewers. Due to the deadline of the application, I paid extra for rush service for my resume. She met the deadline with ease. Then I paid extra to have her re-do my cover letter, again with a rush. Due to my unrealistic expectation, she could not meet the deadline and refunded the rush fee instantly. Long story short, I got the job I wanted all because of her resume. In fact after I got the job I found out the resume was circulated to the staff as "the way it should be done." Pay Andrea! She is priceless! read more

Like other reviewers, I too never thought to use a resume writing service. Having someone put a fresh, new spin on my school, and work experience was imperative to me having the confidence to look for a higher paying job AND ask for a raise at my current one. Andrea asked me over 50 questions in an email, which all seemed to cover important topics that I had overlooked. It was clear through her questions that she invested the time to truly understand my life's accomplishments. This was absolutely money well spent. Andrea even emailed me a few links to some prospective jobs that fit my criteria. I would not hesitate to use her again. If you want to have absolute confidence when sending out your resume, email Andrea. read more

I am using Andrea's services for the second time, first time, 3 years ago I applied for 6 positions and got offers for all of them. At this time, just got my resume today and sent it out to the job I wanted to get an offer from, the recruiter called me and.... the offer is on my email! As always, Andrea does a great job, this is not a cheap service, but hey, you are not looking for a cheap pay either, right? This is the single best investment for someone looking for a job. If you want to get interviews and offers, you NEED a resume well elaborated by a professional. Thank you so much Andrea! You are absolutely amazing on what you do and I am glad I found you years ago. read more

I am currently working as a Registered Nurse in a NYC hospital and have been looking to update my résumé in order to begin my search for a job in a hospital closer to home. I had no idea where to begin. So, I contacted Andrea and I was completely blown away by her level of expertise. When working on my résumé, she asked questions I have been asked by nurse recruiters everywhere. It's as if Andrea just gets it. She totally understands what employers are looking for and helps you show them why they need to hire you. For anyone having any doubts about using Andrea's services: leave those doubts behind you. Andrea is by far the most qualified person for the job. You will not regret working with her. read more

I have zero regrets about engaging Andrea! She took my embarrassingly poor resume and helped me tease out of it meaningful experiences. Reading over the final draft was such an uplifting experience, a welcome relief, and my reaction was a juxtaposition to the response I had to the document I brought to the table. That representation so often left me feeling as if I was light years behind in my career; as I read over the revised one, it was like meeting an old friend in a new light.  I kept thinking, "wow, could this girl really be me?" and was left feeling more confident, renewed, and excited for the steps ahead.  This was exactly what I had hoped to gain from engaging Andrea's help and I feel so grateful for my decision to do so.  Within a few short weeks, I was taking on more and more freelance work. Now, as I have gotten some of the work I had hoped and am looking to take some new steps, I am reaching out to her again to ask her to take another pass! I think we can all benefit from a fresh (less partial) set of eyes from time-to-time, from a helpful advocate.  If you are thinking of taking the plunge, don't hesitate! It's worth it. I wish I had done so sooner! read more

A-N-D-R-E-A spells amazing. I worked with Andrea to revise my resume. I didn't know how to adequately convey all of my skills and experience. She was able to help me articulate what I do and then clearly and effectively present all that in a new resume. I was surprised by how she was able to capture what it is that I do but make it seem impressive at the same time. I think that its very common for people to over-sell themselves with lies or under-sell themselves because they don't know how to capture what they do on a daily basis. If you fall into either of these categories then you should contact Andrea at Resume Scripter. As previous reviewers have stated, she can "transform" your resume and really make you shine. The most amazing part is that she does this accurately and without any embellishment. She's also professional, responsive, patient and a nice person. I'll definitely be utilizing her other services and have recommended her to several friends already. read more

I used to be skeptical professional resume services. I didn't think someone outside of my industry would get the language right or truly understand the ins and outs of my job. I was wrong. After many years of being stuck in a previous role, Resume Scripter helped me land a job paying 2.58x my previous salary at a fast-growing tech startup! That was without any additional skills or training. While I am not terrible at writing my own resume, what I lacked was the ability to translate my unique skills and experience into the parlance and jargon of the contemporary American business world. As a polyglot, I knew writing an effective resume for a highly competitive job market like New York requires being fluent in what is essentially another language! Luckily, Resume Scripter was the perfect translator, not just for HR humans, but also for ATS software programs. My resume came back with all of the relevant industry keywords and buzzwords, and is 100% machine-readable to stay ahead of the curve! Now I get a response for every couple of jobs I apply to, which means my resume is pretty epic. The ROI with Resume Scripter is real and you will not be disappointed. They're absolute geniuses if you ask me, and I'm not the type of person who is prone to hyperbole or praise. Quite frankly, you are probably missing out on a substantial pay increase if you do not use this service. Stop wasting time and get the new position and raise that you deserve. What makes RS the best is that they ask the right questions - many of which you have probably failed to ask yourself about your career. PS: Don't worry about the cost. Resume Scripter pays for itself many times over. read more

I may possibly recommend Resume Scripter if you need assistance with your resume, however, I do not recommend them if you are looking for career advice. While Andrea was always professional, the bulk of the career sessions were spent educating her on my field, taking assessment tests that did not help, and reviewing potential job opportunities that were not near anything I would consider in the future. The right questions were never asked. I expressed concern from the beginning as we didn't seem to be a good fit. She said it was very early and to trust the process. I did require to go off some of their contract regulations, however I feel these types of services should have a bit more flexibility to facilitate clients' needs. Resume Scripter's structure may not always work for every individual and field. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until the process started. Andrea terminated our contract 65% into it because we didn't agree on several items, leaving my LinkedIn page incomplete and a few coaching sessions pending. Wish I knew this was an option earlier. The contract stated it was not cancelable/refundable. While I was refunded a quarter of what I invested, I didn't get the help I needed and misspent money. To those reading this review, research companies thoroughly and interview them to select one that will work for YOU. If you take the time to really think things through, you may be able to figure out what's next on your own. No one knows what is best for you as much as you do. In response to Andrea's note below: My role is not becoming obsolete. It is expanding/changing but it is still very much available, and it is not a reason for a career change. I understand there has to be a level of information provided for you to do your job, but it shouldn't absorbed most of the sessions. The suggestions received didn't align, which makes me wonder if you understood my field and what I was hoping to accomplish. Also, I, like you, didn't feel great about the work done with LinkedIn, especially after proprietary information was added when I asked not to include. The recruiter you connected me with had a position available 3,000 miles away, but the connection is still appreciated. Lastly, my resume, while I wasn't exactly delighted and made revisions myself, your feedback/updates did help guide me to get it to a good place, so I do thank you as well for this. read more

Adrea truly transformed my resume. After months of searching and trying out various resume services, I have to say that Andrea's work is above and beyond what I've seen anywhere. I had become frustrated with other services that make you feel like another number in a production line. She took the time to really understand what I was looking for. Look no further, trust me. I used Resume Scripter this summer as I was stuck in a job with little growth opportunities. Andrea looked at the resume that I already had and customized a long survey to ask me detailed questions about my experiences and accomplishments. Well, this is my first review on Yelp and I must say I'm not happy that I have to write this. I'm completing my graduate degree and beginning my job search. I knew my resume needed a lot of work and I want to put my best foot forward. So, I decided to put any search on hold until I had someone with expertise reformat what I currently have. After doing some online research, I found Andrea's website. I really liked the sample resume she has on her website, so I decided to send her an email to get the process started. When Andrea contacted me on June 15th, she said she would love to work with me, explained how the process worked, and told me that the process generally takes 10-15 business days. I was thrilled and thought that the timeframe was reasonable. So I sent her 2 job descriptions of jobs that I had interviewed for and sent her my deposit. And I waited. After two weeks with no followup...I sent her an email to check in. She answered back and sent along a questionnaire for me to fill out to provide her with more detailed information about my experience (a great idea). She also offered...for the cost of $65...an appointment with her associate for 50 minutes to go over this information over the phone. I decided to go with this option to push the project along. That was 2 weeks ago. And my draft? Haven't seen it. In fact, after sending another email and getting no response back, I finally had to send an email asking for my deposit back. It seems that Andrea is not interested in doing this job. That's my guess. There has been no communication. And I'm out $140. Over a month has gone by since we first made contact and I have nothing to show for it. It's been disheartening to say the least. If anyone out there knows of a reliable resume writer...please let me know...I'm back to square one. read more

It pains me to have to write this review anonymously because I stand by it 100%, but I do not necessarily want potential employers knowing I have utilized a professional resume writing service. Having said that, I am an avid Yelp user, with 32 reviews written to date since I began using Yelp in May of 2015. It is through Yelp that I found Andrea and her company, Resume Scripter. Quite frankly, I am surprised at all of the mostly positive reviews. After researching numerous resume writing services in the NYC area, I narrowed the choices down to two companies in Manhattan. Both Resume Scripter and the other company had high ratings, but Resume Scripter had a higher number of reviews in addition to the high rating, so I went with Resume Scripter. I first contacted Andrea through her website on 07/16/15 and over the course of a week, Andrea and I e-mailed back and forth several times. I had a few common questions regarding the process (ie, length of time from start to finish, whether the price included a reformat of my resume or if she would just be assisting with word revisions, and if the resume may be tailored for two different types of jobs). Andrea was fairly quick to respond to my inquiries. However, after asking one or two questions (listed above), I decided in the interest of saving time and ensuring nothing would be lost in "email translation," I asked if Andrea had "a moment" to speak over the phone. Please keep in mind, I was not asking for a 15-30 minute consultation for free; I simply thought it would be more time efficient for both of us to speak over the phone for no more than 5 minutes before I sent my deposit to Andrea. Two days later, she responded saying her week would be very hectic and she would only be able to respond via e-mail. She did mention I could call her 800 number and leave a message with one of her "associates" (more on that later) and they would be able to answer any questions I might have. She did offer a 30-45 minute phone conversation a week out. I found it odd that a) she could not make time for 5 minutes for a new client in the next few business days and b) she had an 800 number. Although my gut told me to go with another company (I had a bad feeling about someone that could not speak over the phone), I was eager to begin the process, so I could start applying for new positions. So, two days later, on 07/22/15 I sent my deposit and Andrea confirmed receipt. In Andrea's e-mails, she made it very clear that the first part of the process would involve her reviewing my resume and in 5-7 business days I would receive a list of questions. She said the entire process (from receipt of deposit to receiving the final resume) would be 10-15 business days. On 07/22/15, Andrea confirmed receipt of my deposit and said she would be sending me a list of questions in 5-7 business days. On the 8th business day, I e-mailed her to confirm that she did not require any additional information, since I had already provided her with my resume. No response. On 08/03/15 (the 9th business day), I left a message with one of her "associates." The following day, I left her another message and sent her a polite e-mail, in which I noted that I had left her two messages and would simply like an update on where she was in the process. Again, no response to my voice messages or my e-mails. At this time, I was growing frustrated. If she could not deliver in the promised timeframe, I had wasted that time and would need to start over with another company. On 08/04/15, I left my final message with her 800 number. After speaking with one of the "associates" I confirmed what I already had gathered; that she was using a reception service. Unfortunately, the reception service had already relayed my two previous messages to her as "urgent" with no response back. I'd like to note that I was also on vacation the week of August 3rd and did not appreciate having to deal with this on my one vacation during the year. When I received no response to my third (voice) message left with the reception service Andrea hired, nor a response to several e-mails sent directly to Andrea, I sent Andrea an e-mail on the 12th business day, notifying her that I was disputing the deposit with PayPal and requesting a refund. It both saddens and frustrates me that a business would operate in this manner, particularly with a time sensitive matter such as someone's job search. If she did not want or have time for my business, she should have let me know upfront. I have learned a very valuable lesson from this, which is to always trust my gut feeling. In this case, my gut told me to take my business elsewhere and I should have listened earlier. read more

We spoke for at least 30 minutes and I answered all the questions you had about the job I was applying to, my work experience and my previous resume that I sent you so there was NOT any "miscommunication". Very happy I chose Resume Scripter over others I was looking at. Andrea was very thorough in gathering as much info as she possibly could in my background to ensure a comprehensive, well written resume. We went through a couple revisions as she was very open to my suggestions and edits. The finished product is far superior to what I initially had on my own. At this point in my career, given my experience and successes, it was time to step it up with a professional writer like Andrea. Well worth the investment! read more

I want to concur with what a lot of people who have used Resume Scripter have made evident. While Andrea's initial delve into your past work is somewhat thorough, the final product was much less satisfactory, containing a few errors here and there. I will update my review this week with the results she sent me. Also, the cover page is literally a copy/paste, a verbatim restatement, of the resume; not concise in format, and very splayed out. HR does not have time to read a such a long cover letter, as has been made very evident to me by friends and colleagues in the respective industry. Since having used her services back in November of 2016, I have had to make substantial changes to the final product she prepared. In my honest opinion, you would be better served looking elsewhere, perhaps asking friends to refer you to resume services they may have sought out in the past. Caveat emptor! read more

After Andrea worked on my resume in 2015, I applied to a new gig and was hired soon after. Fast forward to 2017, I wanted to update my resume to include my current responsibilities. I reached out to Andrea again and she sent me the list of questions to answer. She also asked if there was a rush on completing. I'm not patient like most so I asked if I can have it done asap (for an additional fee). Like clockwork, my first draft was completed within 96 hours as promised. I asked her to make a few minor adjustments. A few hours later, she sent me the final draft. I don't know how she does it but wow. I'm impressed again. Thanks Andrea! read more

Original Review 3/12/12: Andrea's work is amazing! She seems to know exactly what employers are looking for on resumes. After failing to receive callbacks using my old resume, I sought out Andrea's services. She revamped my resume and within a month, I received an offer of employment with a substantial salary increase. I have since recommended Andrea to many colleagues who have had similar success. She is truly a gem and it's clear that she really cares about ensuring your success. Update 8/31/15: I recently obtained my master's degree and contacted Andrea to review my resume and help me craft it so that my past experiences would speak to my new field. Similarly to my first experience, with Andrea's work, I couldn't be happier. I have multiple call-backs already!! Thank you Andrea. read more

I recently got a new job with a very large raise and promotion, and I credit 99% of it to using Resume Scripter. I'd spent the last several years in a good job, but one that didn't offer much room for growth either in position or salary. I'd constantly look at postings at other companies that I was qualified for, but every time I went to write my resume I'd procrastinate or start and stop without ever finishing something I was proud of. Finally my girlfriend got so frustrated with me that she found Resume Scripter, and made me sign up for their resume + cover letter package. It's one of the best investments I've ever made (and paid for itself in my first paycheck at the new job). The entire process was conducted via email, with Andrea sending me a pretty detailed list of questions and then a round of edits. I also sent her some jobs I was interested in to help with the resume and cover letter. In the end I had a resume I am proud of, and I got over that nervous hump that was preventing me from applying to jobs. I was surprised at how many interviews I landed, and in the end I ended up at a place where I am very happy. Couldn't recommend Resume Scripter enough. A++++++++++++ read more

As someone who has had one job for a pretty long time, and which I got in the first place because of a relative, I dreaded the upcoming job search as I look to move into my chosen field, which has nothing to do with what I'm doing now. I knew I needed the help of a pro to navigate such a cutthroat process, and I'm so glad I chose Andrea. She put together a resume, great LinkedIn page, and a great cover letter template for me. The process was completely worth it, and her turnaround time is great. It was a back and forth as she prodded me for my relevant and transferable skills to put forth my best self. If you're on the fence about getting help with the only documents your future employers will judge you by, or even if you don't think you need it (hint: you probably do), then Andrea is the one you want handling it. read more
