I was in a lot of back pain. My doctor referred me to Results Physiotherapy in Cedar Park, TX. At my first visit I spent 45 mins. talking, with a bit of stretching with a trainer. It was really expensive, but first visit, evaluation, okay. I questioned this and was told first there was no one on-site that answered billing questions, it was all done at the cooperate level "I can only tell you what I see on the screen, but I do know many patients end up with credits or refunds after it is all sorted out". Oh geez, should have been my first clue. I go back again, this time the trainer has me stretching for 15 minutes, meanwhile he walked away to help a second patient. Returned and gave me a couple exercise to do on my own while he helped another patient, then he put electric nerve stimulators on my back and a heating pad for 15 mins. A 45 minute visit was & $86 (with insurance). I questioned again and was told that is how they bill and then they send refunds. Being in pain and hoping to be pain-free, this continued. 13 visits and the cost was anywhere from $87.00 to $130 a visit (with insurance). Even with several items being disallowed by my insurance. I continued to argue my case and was refunded $330. Now 7 months later I receive another bill, they refiled (with different code and information, ridiculous that they can do this) with my insurance and got more money and I owe another $56. I called, plead my case, but no luck. I also pointed out to them that I was never at the office 1 hour and 15 minutes but was always charge at least 4 to 5 units (Unit-15 minutes of exercise or machine work). I exercised 45 minutes and had electric stimulator and heat for 15 minutes. I never had a trainer with me the entire time, although that is what they charge for (one on one care). He would give me an exercise and go off to help another client. Sometimes asking the receptionist to guide me to the next exercise or turn off a machine and help me up. My mistake was sticking with that place. I will never return. Beware!!! read more
