I am so sorry to hear they will be closing this December. I had both arthroscopic knee surgery and a total knee replacement done. Every therapist I worked with was absolutely wonderful, but I particularly loved working with Cecilee Fleming. She has such amazing patience and gave me so much encouragement. I will really miss her, especially since I am having my other knee replaced this fall. I will miss all those wonderful therapists, including Mary, the owner. And, the girls who manage the office affairs are the best....so helpful in scheduling visits. It really saddens me that they won't be in Roswell anymore by the end of this year. Run and staffed with therapists who are also athletes, Fusion combines physical therapy and fitness training. The founder-owner and at least one of the staff are tri-athletes. The facility and equipment blends traditional physical therapy lay-out and equipment, with functional training gear. I started coming to Fusion for rehab after a total hip replacement. Kelly, my therapist, always demonstrates a high degree of care, and a thoughtful approach to my program. I'm getting better so fast, I'm kinda dreading not needing to return. I cannot say enough good things about Fusion PT and Barbara, specifically. I've suffered from chronic lower back pain due to disc bulges. I've done physical therapy elsewhere, seen many doctors and suffered through a pricey injection in my lower back, without much improvement. Desperate to try something new to get some relief from the pain that radiated out of my lower back every day and woke me up most nights, I researched dry needling, and a lot of positive reviews led me to Fusion. Scheduling was easy; there's tons of parking and the space is cheerful and buzzing with activity. A lot of great people work at Fusion, and they're providing great service to people of all ages with all types of physical issues. I provided my history and MRI results to Barbara, and she got right to work. She asked a lot of great questions to help me articulate my pain and what exacerbates it the most. She observed how I navigated standing, sitting, twisting and bending movements that I didn't realize were affected by my back issues. She felt across my back and immediately identified tight areas and opportunities to increase my strength and mobility and reduce pain. It was extremely interesting and encouraging to witness her expertise at work. I got her one-on-one focused attention at every visit, and she continually provided solutions that worked for me - from exercises that improved my core strength to modifications I can make to my standing posture and movements that will help with pain that wakes me up in the middle of the night. Dry needling was fascinating. Barbara identified areas on back - different areas each time depending on my pain level and mobility on that day - and positioned the needles to trigger positive responses in my muscles. It was uncomfortable at times, but I quickly noticed improvement. Coupled with the activities and movements she prescribed to me throughout my therapy sessions, I am feeling better physically, and I am - for the first time in a while - optimistic for a future without constant pain. I continue to work the program Barbara gave me and apply the techniques she taught me to reduce my pain and improve my overall quality of life. I came here at the recommendation of my orthopedist. Unfortunately, it looks like my ortho misdiagnosed my issue, and the physical therapist I worked with, Lisa, was not able to really figure out what exactly the problem was, other than it wasn't what he had diagnosed. So why the four stars? Well, first, the only reason I am taking off a star is that the location is really difficult to find. It's not well marked at all, and GPS did not know where it was taking me. Back to the four stars, Lisa was wonderful, compassionate, and truly seemed interested in figuring out what my problem was and how to fix it. I did get a little emotional about things, because I have not been running in months, and have spent over $3K in trying to get better. But she was really patient, kind, and truly sincere in her efforts. She spent quite a great deal of time with me and even had a counterpart evaluate me as well just to get some different eyes on the matter. Though neither of them could quite determine what the issue is, I can't blame them. I have now seen 3 people, two sports medicine orthopedics and her who can't figure it out. I'm actually going for opinion #4 today. I had to send her an email, and she was so quick to reply. I would say that if I do need therapy in the future, I'd be more than willing to come here again. I walk, bend, and move my body without pain. I have been to Fusion Physical Therapy for five different reasons over the past many years. The first occasion was when I came in desperate for relief. The pain in my back stopped me from standing. Barbara Johnston was assigned to help me. She used several different techniques that all helped to completely relieve the pain, The most effective was dry needling where Barbara applied electric current. Unfortunately the pain returned several days later. We repeated this process many times until Barbara told me she'd never be able to completely relieve the pain because I needed a hip replacement. OMG! I had been to numerous MD's and other physical therapists for pain shots and therapy and NO ONE had told me my hip was bad, I returned to Fusion not much later after my Full Left Hip Replacement was completed. Within a reasonable time, I was as good as old. Pain free. I have returned to Fusion after knee replacement, Achilles tendon repair, and other reasons. I've met and been happily abused by several therapists there. Lisa, Kelly, Mary as well as Barbara, (I'm afraid I may have forgotten one name), I've been manipulated, bent, twisted, stretched, and forced to do semi-painful things in order to recover from my life injuries. I just graduated from my physical therapy following a total knee replacement in October and then complications requiring a revision and second surgery exactly one month later. I was so afraid I would never get back to being active again. I had the other knee replaced about 5 years prior but experienced a whole different rehabilitation. Kelly Marcuzzi was extremely efficient and worked me hard to reach my goals. I am well prepared to continue my therapy on my own. The entire staff were very friendly and supportive but especially liked the one on one with the same therapist. This assured more efficient care with no time wasted. Thanks Kelly!! I can't thank Mary and Susan and the rest of the staff enough times! I have lower back aches/pains from a surgery long time ago. I've tried everything and anything under the sun! BEST Physical Therapy I've ever had, and I've had a few. One on one appointments - I didn't have to share my therapist as is done at the "big box" PT office. Explanation of why we were doing what we were doing, and now, months later, I am still using the skills and techniques that were taught to me, and my physical condition continues to improve because of it. I've had PT with other outfits and was happy with the exercises and advice I received. They improved my flexibility but didn't mitigate my hip pain. I was referred to Fusion because they offer TENS muscle stimulation (I was told by my referrer it was Accu-Pressure but I'm not sure about the correct nomenclature.) I tried one session of this and thought it was ok, but I was blown away with the hands-on assessment by Cecilee. In addition to PT, I've been examined by GP's, Orthopedic Surgeons and Chiropractors, but Fusion is another thing entirely. She basically probes the joint with her fingers identifying nerves, tendons and muscles until she pins down exactly what's going on. Then she begins to probe, stimulate, etc, while making measurements about changes in range of motion. Before I went in, walking to our mailbox was painful. After 3 sessions, the pain is much less and the knowledge of what's actually going on is a real confidence builder. read more

My visits to Fusion PT have nurtured a post-surgical knee replacement; strengthened muscles atrophied by shingles in my leg; and lifted my spirits whenever I walk through the door. Every one of the therapists has been pleasant, respectful, professional, and encouraging with good explanations of what they are doing and why it will help. They provide clear follow-up instructions. Mary Doyle was recommended by a friend who had heard me complain constantly about physical therapists who didn't bother to understand my needs and limitations and did very little to relieve the pain I suffered from arthritis and multiple past injuries. Mary took the time to actually learn about and understand my challenges and employed a holistic approach to helping me get immediate and sustainable results! She does more work with me during visits than any therapist ever before and helped me institute a home regimen that actually fits my needs and lifestyle. Each time I visit, we go over what's working and what I can do better and she adjusts as we go to make sure I am motivated and able execute the exercises and routines at home.
