I chose the Yoga Loft on a whim, but mostly because of how close it was to my house. I had attended my first class at the end of December and ended up choosing Abby's gentle yoga. That class is what led me to stick with the Yoga Loft and continue my practice to now. The environment is very soothing and calming, and puts me at ease the second I walked in. While I haven't had a class with all the instructors, I've had at least one class with majority of them and there isn't one I would not recommend. They're all dedicated, caring, and have their unique quality. I also love the mix of classes -- about a month into attending classes, YL offered a free total body conditioning class. This is now a regular class and one I attended. So now not only am I more relaxed with yoga, I am becoming and feeling stronger with TBC! I can't recommend this studio enough -- and as someone who just started practicing yoga a few months ago, I can assure you this is a safe place to start!

I started going to this place partly because I can walk from my house, but more importantly I was looking for a place to be physically active. What I found was so much more. I have participated in Yoga and Woman's Self defence,at this location. I am not only healthier and more physically active, I have gained is self awareness, confidence, flexibility, empowerment, self defence skills, and friendship. I am not going to lie, I was nervous to do some of the self defence skills but I am so glad I did. I can now put someone in a choke hold, how empowering is that! The yoga has greatly helped with my flexibility and back pain. I have seem so much growth in the few short months I have been doing yoga consistently. WOW! What an amazing place!!…read more I used to take yoga classes here with Kit Spahr who was a fantastic instructor with the most relaxing voice and demeanor ever. I would love to be more like her if I wasn't so much like me. Haha! While it was quite a way for me to drive (from Grandview), I started seeing it as my little escape. Given the nature of yoga, obviously no cell-phone are allowed so my connection to the outside world was nixed (happily) and while the trek through rush-hour traffic was tought, it was always well worth it in the end. While I didn't find anyone else taking the class particularly approachable or quick to befriend, in a weird way it was another (positive) element to my 'escape'. I didn't have to engage in surface conversation, make promises to call, or say goodbyes to anyone as I left. Easy in and out and feeling better than I did before. There were so many AWESOME classes offered at the Arts Castle aside from Yoga...jewelry making, wine tasting, puppetry, tai chi, music, Lapidary and more! I would take them all if I could afford it! This is a gorgeous little town, a gorgeous building (literally looks like a castle) and a great place to escape.

I was so nervous for over a year to try barre as many of my friends said it would be so hard. I…read morechallenged myself yesterday and did something I felt uncomfortable with and came here with my 614 fit week pass to try it for the first time. Upon my arrival I was warmly greeted by Beth who owns the studio. There are two classrooms for barre, the first one she showed me was quite big and scenic with an outdoor view while the second was smaller. Beth explained the area a little bit and then I changed to get ready for my class with Stephanie. Stephanie was such a kind instructor and walked me through each step of the movements we were doing from the warm-up to the barre itself, I felt more confident as much as it hurt so much on my first day. I had so man helpful classmates too explain what to do when I got lost which was so nice. It's all about the movements. Those movements were small and big but they really did the job I was looking for in a fitness studio. Finally, after the 60 minutes we stretched and talked with instructor to get to know the studio and pricing a little bit. They offer a child care area but I don't need it right now. They even offered me a great discounted rate to join and I said I would think about it. If your looking for a challenging but do-able workout try barre, you having nothing to lose trying something new!

I went in again in January and the person at the front desk said nothing was on file and had me fill out another form. I was told a manager would call me and no one ever did. I was again billed in February. I called and reported them to my credit card company and I called GoYoga, having to leave a message. Well, guess what? They billed me for March, too.
