I went to Real Life Counseling around 2020 to 2021 because I was struggling with online school as a…read moreteen in high school. I was doing terribly, so my dad and step-mom helped my brother and I get into therapy with RLC. I had my first therapy session with LMHC Lindsey Russet. I believe she was a wonderful fit for me, but she had to step away after a couple months to a year for maternity leave. I had the option to continue with video calls instead of in-person meetings, but my parents did not believe that to be as effective at the time. I feel grateful for her time, and wished her the best. With my first therapist no longer available, RLC had to move me to a new therapist. Despite the seemingly long list of providers in their website, I only had one option. Unfortunately, he was not the right one. I never truly felt comfortable with this provider, but continued to see him anyway. Our disconnect made the sessions feel impersonal and a waste of time. He would ask me to try techniques in-office that I did not like (breathing techniques) and we would often talk about things unrelated to my mental health issues. It felt like he didn't understand me at all. After all of this wasted time, I knew I finally had to step up and do something, otherwise I would continue seeing this provider that I knew was not benefiting me. I had taken some control in the conversation and was asking his thoughts on my situation, because I had a feeling he didn't see what was wrong. I was correct. After he said something The Board would not have like to hear, and something I disagreed with (never reported and do not intend to), I had my closure and could leave counseling without guilt. I went a couple years without therapy and missed my first therapist every so often, but Real Life Counseling was not an option for me anymore. I would not consider going there again. That latter experience was subpar, and I hope other clients that visit RLC have a better experience than I did.

I was left with a credit on my account and my counselor no longer works with this practice due to other reasons. I called twice asking if they would refund the credit on my account, no answer. This is unprofessional and no way to conduct a business.

To put it as simply as possible: Adrienne Buhacoff changed my life. Lofty statement, I know! But…read morehaving worked with Adrienne for almost a year now, I can say with the utmost certainty that my life has transformed in the best of ways since starting our professional relationship. Regardless of the quandaries I throw her way on any given call, Adrienne consistently exercises the patience, honesty, and compassion I need to make sense of my world. What's more, Adrienne makes it a mission to help her clients institute change in their own lives; her approach to our work together has given me the tools I need to shift my outlook and tackle problems, both big and small. From the bottom of my heart, I would recommend Adrienne and Positive Inner Self to anyone looking to improve their life and master the art of self-compassion. 5-stars are simply not enough to express my gratitude and appreciation!

Above and beyond care and treatment. Prescribed the medication there, quickly and promptly…read more Experienced improved results and emotional well being through-out my stay. Respect and dignity to the highest level of standards of care an individual could ask for. They may not have temperpedic matresses but their hospitality and trust of individuals was a surprise to me. VIP standards, and normalization to difficult and tough times. Appreciated the 1-1s conversations to go over my basic needs and my requests. We all emotionally matched perfectly and I got way more than what I could have asked for. Definitely a place I would volunteer and go back again when needed. It's not the place that made it great, it was the people and how they represented it. Made it a very pleasant and relaxing experience. I felt at home with the staff and other peers there, could easily joke around and politely tease one another as if right away is as if I could choose, I would be friends with all these people. I don't know how they felt about me, but there wasn't a person there I did not like. Thank you! Sincerely! Breakfast and lunch is self serve, family style dinner optional. If there was a place to experience family, this would be it.

They were originally transferred there from an emergency room and were in serious need of competent care. The staff at Lifeline was incredibly irresponsible and forcibly discharged my loved one on a Saturday evening, making it impossible to prepare a transition. Lifeline made no preparation for a transfer to a different hospital setting. My loved one at the time was very ill and was at risk of self harm and flight, but Lifeline Connections basically just kicked them out and arranged for a taxi to take them somewhere else. A taxi. My loved one was experiencing psychosis. No taxi driver is competent to transfer someone experiencing psychosis. This was horrifying to me and luckily I was able rush up there and to intervene and bring them to Unity Behavioral Health. The people at Unity were competent and caring. The staff at Lifeline were negligent and dangerously irresponsible. The place is clearly not being run by responsible medical professionals.
