They will check on you several times to see if you need anything and that you are comfortable. The compression treatment is similar to a blood pressure cuff feeling applied to the whole body. The suit you wear fills with air and adds pressure in a rolling wave from the upper to lower part of your body. It can be a little tight on the feet so be aware. Other than that, you have a 1/2 hour of uninterrupted quiet or a calming music selection to give you the time to pray, meditate and focus on you and your concerns. The facility is bright, well lit and clean. The location is easy to find with free on-site parking, but there is a lot of construction there and is difficult to get into right now.

Not only did the front desk lady steal my entire group she attempted to try and dispute transactions I made in August I come here all the time for pain relief . I'm a single mom and work three jobs and they just stole my entire Groupon . I was on my way to work I couldn't argue with this woman who clearly had no previous experience in a healing setting . I was so angry I called and asked to speak to the owner and the SAME woman told me she would handle it. I'm disgusted and I will be telling all my friends, family, and clients don't go here. I also coach girls soccer in Radnor and work with a lot of athletes I'll be letting them know never to go to this place .

I'm interested in trying dermaplaning and their custom facials. I've tried their Celluma LED facials and B12 shots. My favorite thing is still the Whole Body Cyrotherapy with leg compressions. It's quick enough to do during my lunch break. The Cyrotherapy takes 3 minutes maximum and is followed by Normatec arm of leg compressions for 30 minutes. The changing rooms are always clean. And organized with robes, gloves, socks, and booties. Just make sure to avoid any metal (ie. bra underwire) during Cyrotherapy. I love doing Cyrotherapy after a tough gym session or football game. It definitely helps with soreness, circulation, and any inflammation. And the fact that it can burn 500-800 calories is a definite plus! I always feel great after though my husband has had some side effects like hunger, excessive thirst, and sleepiness. The owner, Dan is always friendly and informative. He's accommodating and has squeezed me in on same day appointments. It's also easy to book sessions online.

I suffered a bad injury last week, and the back pain was being persistent for about five days, and…read moreI happened to stumble upon Cryo Spa on groupon during this time. I know my mother uses Cryo for chronic pain, so I thought it was worth a shot for some acute pain as well. I admit that I was nervous, but I called Cryo Spa and was lucky to be given a same-day appointment. They're open until 8pm on some weekdays, so it made it easy for me to head straight over after work. They were even able to get me in early. The girl at the desk who was the one who helped me with the process was super patient and understanding. I was worried about leaving my belongings unattended in a new place, but you actually get to stay in a room with your stuff and keep watch the entire time. The attendant left the room while I changed, and then I stepped into the Cryo chamber while it was turned off. The sound of the door closing alerts the attendant, and then she comes in and elevates you so your head and neck are above the chamber, and then the cooling begins. She talked to me the whole time, asking about my injury to distract me from the excessively freezing temperatures for the three minute session. I think I did feel some improvement since the experience, but I have to admit that their prices seem steep for a three minute session. I'm not sure if time in the chamber increases with more experience, but this is certainly something to consider. I'm definitely thinking about returning for another session.

Cryo Spa Natural Healing Center in the Holland Shopping Center, Holland, PA, is a holistic…read morealternative health services center at the intersection of Holland and Buck Roads. It can be a little challenging to reach if coming down Buck Road, but with patience the traffic and red lights can be overcome. It is well worth your effort to find your way there. Although cryotherapy (exposing your body to extremely cold temperature for a short period of time to deal with autoimmune conditions through the release of endorphins and anti-inflammatory proteins) is the main attraction, I was there on a first visit for a full body massage to address lingering lower back issues. I was greeted promptly by the front desk person, who asked me to complete three pages of information regarding my medical history and reason for coming. Before I was finished, my masseuse Marla was introducing herself with warm smile and firm handshake. Before starting the massage, I was also introduced to Lucy, the owner of the facility. She offered to give me a quick tour. She showed me the cryotherapy equipment, shiatsu and mediation rooms, and finally the massage chamber where Marla would attempt to loosen my lumbar/sacral spine and take my discomfort away. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside, and Lucy was very knowledgeable about all the modalities offered. When it was time to start my massage, Marla directed me to disrobe and get under the sheets on the table, face down on the headrest. She left the room while I did so. Upon returning, she asked a few questions about the strength of the massage desired (strong), and instructed me to tell her if I was experiencing pain (Don't worry. I don't deal with pain in silence.) She explained that she would be doing a combination of stretches, deep tissue, pressure point and Swedish techniques which she labeled as, "Sports Massage." She was amazing. Her hands intuitively found the discomfort in my back and legs, and dug, kneaded, lifted/stretched my joints, and actually moved the muscles, tendons and ligaments around to release their tension and help them find their proper place in my body alignment. She had incredible strength, and was able to lift each leg, pull it further upward, while manipulating the musculature and joints. All the while, we conversed quietly about how I was feeling, giving me directions to help her, and informing me about her experience in massage and healthcare. Fascinating woman. Excellent healer. After my hour, I arose slowly. I felt looser and longer. More significantly, a sense of wellbeing and mild euphoria surrounded me. I was extremely relaxed and felt a limberness and flexibility that had been absent for a long while. I slept very well last night. This morning, even as I write this review, my body feels like it is glowing. I know I will return to CryoSpa regularly to maintain and improve this sensation of health, strength and vitality. Marla did great work. I also want to give the Shiatsu a try, and if brave enough, go into the cryospa itself to see what that can do. Totally positive first impression.

Dorel is a magician. My wife and I met him at the Griffith Park Half Marathon back in 2015 - while…read morehe only gave us a 5 minute demo stretch, his work lasted all 13 miles and made a lasting impression on us. Fast forward to this past November when I injured my IT band: During a back-to-back 10k / half race series, I pushed myself a bit too hard; combined with the abnormally cold weather and steep incline grades, I strained my left IT band with significant pain in my lower calf, knee and mid thigh. After confirming the injury with my doctor (who did nothing but recommend resting and vitamin d), I took the next 3 weeks off - just working out my upper body and using the stupid hand cycle to keep up my cardio. This was extremely inopportune timing as we had another race series in January. After the 3 week hiatus, I tried to run again, albeit slowly and was only able to complete 6 miles. Now in panic mode, due to the upcoming 51.7 mile race series, I found Dorel's business card and gave him a call. He immediately fit me into his schedule and we planned to meet the next day. After ONE, one hour session, I could already feel my tight IT band relaxing. He used a variety of techniques targeting my IT trigger point and managed to work out the injured muscle and tendons. While it was grueling at times, it was 1,000% worth it to fix this injury. Dorel also gave me a sheet on stretches, recommendations for the week leading up to the races and his personal cell phone number in case I had any issues or questions. As you can see from my attached image, my wife and I were able to run all 51.7 miles. I had ZERO pain in my leg or knee. Truthfully, I was a bit skeptical about my recovery - having taken 3 weeks to rest / stretch my leg and then only able to run 6 miles - I couldn't fathom how an hour of massage therapy could get me race ready in less than 1 week. I am so thankful that we met Dorel - these 5 races would NOT have happened without him. If you have any injury, I cannot recommend him enough!!
