My nurse Nelson was an exceptional delight! Usually it takes nurses a few tries to find a good vein for a blood draw/IV but he did it on the first try. Surgery itself was only about 30 minutes. My boyfriend was well informed during the entire process. There was a snack area and TV in the waiting area.

I have been going here since 1980 and a Dr. Rosenberg has been my doctor almost 30 years. They used to take walk-ins only but now I believe its only by appointment. You can get your prescription filled, have xrays, and EKG and allergy test and do many other tests all in one location making this a true one-stop shop. With this capability the doctor is able to make a diagnosis immediately in some cases. I truly love this place. Quite honestly this is the only place that I trust! Dr. Rosenberg is my favorite. He takes his time to explain things, listens well and is compassionate and caring. He really cares about his patients and all the staff. You can tell by the way he interacts with his coworkers that they truly respect him. Over the years I've had many encounters with him and the staff at Macomb Medical which were all good and sometimes even hilarious. I left my wedding ring in the bathroom once and called the office. There was no waiting on the phone line, immediately the staff put me on hold, stopped what they were doing and looked for my ring. It was a very scary time for me but I was definitely supported by the staff. I remember another time a couple years ago when I came to the office for something else but Dr. Rosenburg discovered I had an infection. I didn't feel or see anything so I decided not to take the antibiotics he prescribed. Sure enough, four days later I felt it. Today my appointment was at 8am and I was there for 2 hours...and no...I was not waiting like you would at most places. Dr. Rosenberg and his nurse took their time to find out what was wrong with me. I have nothing negative to say about this place and I would give it a 10 star if I could.

I don't like being ill, which I am a lot, but I enjoy going to see Dr. Rosenberg when I am. I am very comfortable in his presence and genuinely like the man. He listens to my concerns, and has me on a regimen of medications that have my asthma and COPD under control, along with various heart issues. If he's not available for an appointment, his PAC's usually can see me same day, and he's been known to see me during his lunch hour. My fears were put at ease as soon as I met Dr. Pellerito. He has a calming personality and is very patient and easy to talk to. I'm going through treatment now and I've already had success. It took a while to decide what I wanted to do and he understood my concerns and let me steer my own ship as far as what choices I had. The team here are experts in the field of osteopathy, orthopedic, and sports medicine. My connection with this well known practice, is four(4) different doctors since 2015. My parents (RIP) were also patients of Dr. Andrew Ajluni for my Mother's fractured hips after falling, then my Father for his broken wrist with Dr. Michael Demers in the past 10 years at the St. Clair Shores office. Therefore = (1st & 2nd Doctors ) I became a patient of Dr. James Bookout (#3) for my left knee in early December 2018. After x-rays and a scan, it was concluded I have lack of cartilage in both my knees, left worse. The easy term is called "bone on bone" which causes swelling at the end of my busy days. In order to prolong surgery, he suggested a orthopedic knee brace for 2 months which helped greatly to re-enforce my left knee for up to 10 hours.( brace bought at Dick's sporting store with discount from Dr.) I may use the sleeve brace when kneeling for long periods of time, but not on a daily basis since the 4 gel shots have helped after 2 weeks of final appointment and injection. After 6 months he suggested an office treatment with 4 weekly 5cc gel shots back in July 2019. I will warn: It's a painful shot and needle "Sharp hit the bone" injection. I was light headed afterwards due to the excitement? NOT... my anxiety. Then 1 day of a soft ice pack 3x a day for my re-balancing. After 3 days, I was happy with my walking and enjoy my daily exercise workouts without pain or stiffness plus easy kneeling mobility. Dr. Bookout was very polite, patient with my questions and he explains in details about the knee with alternative treatments. I hope I will NOT need any future surgery but if so, he will be my choice to repair my bone loss. I am also a patient with Dr. Matthew Brewster (#4) a foot surgeon for a right bone spur which was diagnosed in November 2019. (Thanks Mom same foot she had back in 1997). Dr. Brewster has not rushed surgery and has recommended other alternative medical treatments to use. I was put on a 10 day steroid medication to help the pain and I'm using "Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel 2x a day for inflammation which has helped like liquid Advil to subsidize my pain. My last appointment was on Tuesday, March 3rd to "give in" for a 3cc shot (small needle) of cortisone into the joint area of my right big toe. It helped to get me back walking without pain and to prolong my needed foot surgery till summer time. I hope the shot will last long, but I will follow up with Dr. Brewster in late May to decide. He is so kind and helpful to ease my mind. My walking has been pain-free both inside and outside the house. I also bought a pair of special charcoal orthotic inserts from Hanson's shoes to help with my 5000/ 6000 steps daily. I highly recommend these dedicated quality surgeons in this orthopedic medical practice. The office atmosphere and staff is welcoming and the exam rooms are hygienic and private. The doctors are attentive and professional to all patients. FYI: The business card which is attached and my photos will show many other professional doctors who also practice here as well. Example: Shoulder, Hand, Knee, Foot, Hips... The receptionists at check-in are very pleasant. The assistant to the medical doctors in exam rooms are caring and attentive like the doctors. At check-out the employees are polite to conclude my appointment promptly. The practice has a great team of passionate and professionals along with staff. They are equipped with the technical medical equipment so no need to go elsewhere for radiology. They offer 2 offices in Shelby Township and St. Clair Shores. I was also pleased to get a Yelp tip from an Elite friend, who is also a patient here. Therefore As I always say and I am true in my personal opinion: "Yelpers are Helpers!" But she didn't use the expected validated risk assessment tools for breast cancer or other cancers, as is the job of a GYN specialist. That's why the tools exist: to SCREEN patients and then prescribe appropriate diagnostic tools using the standard of care guidelines. She didn't: she referred me to a cancer surgeon instead. I don't have cancer, I've never had any diagnostic indicating I *might* have it, never even an "iffy" test result: all I needed was a script for my mammogram, and another diagnostic that *every* GYN specialist I've seen has ordered, as it is in the diagnostic path based on the screening. These are the tests that are listed as the standard in the guidelines for people with the risks I have. But no, she said I had to go to a cancer SURGEON. Another doctor, more appointments, higher costs, some male SURGEON to handle my GYN services because she didn't want to even order basic testing? I don't think so. As a health care provider myself, I'm appalled. I expect a specialist to cover basic care according to the care plans, which includes screening the patient and following the standards. This doc didn't. This happened earlier in the year - I was just too shocked at what she did to even write this review. And I had to find a new GYN specialist.

UM requires a COVID test before any procedure, and they made me get one before my colonoscopy this…read morepast weekend. Last year I had to drive to Canton, to one of UM's drive-thru COVID testing sites, which was like an hour's drive, so I was pleased to see that MyHealth Troy (and Birmingham) were listed as acceptable alternates on UM's website, since MyHealth Troy is only a 5-minute drive for me. I called beforehand but they said I did not need an appointment. UM said they faxed the order to them but I also brought a paper copy just in case. This is the first time I've had a COVID test and have not had to go through a drive-thru, not sure if that's super safe but I do prefer that versus a drive-thru. It only took about 5 minutes total and then I was on my way. They were supposed to fax the results to UM, and they did, but a day later ... still a good two days before my procedure so that was fine. I know they also offer the vaccine here, what's funny is that I book vaccines for people as a vaccine angel and I've actually booked a ton of people here, so it was interesting to actually stop by. If you're coming here for urgent care, you'll want to go through the door on the left, but if you're going for the vaccine, follow the signs and go to the door on the right. Plenty of parking right in front of both doors, as well.

The prescription she wrote for myself and my daughter made my daughter and her care put us back together again - her service and presence was so profound that I WILL NOT EVER take my daughter back to her previous primary care physicia.
