The station waiting area can be cold. Some people wait above, others below behind walls to protect themselves from the elements. The line used is the silver line to get into other various stations. The location of this station is good for the Dulles Airport. There is also a lot around this station, like restaurants, bars, businesses etc. There is some shopping nearby including a CVS. The station was very clean. The employees I came in contact with were so helpful to others. I ended up buying an all days pass for $13.50, and was charged a small fee for the card. I think I spent just under $16.

It is clearly enlightened social consciousness rather than the furtive whispers one hears of proactively planning to partake of free wine that drives my use of public transportation to get to these events. Good planning by Miriam results in many of the events being located within walking distance of an Orange line stop. Bus Route 505 is the link between Town Center and the West Falls Church Metro station. Other than only having a $1 cover charge the best thing about this bus is that one can now use their SmartPass to pay. This aspect needs more publicity. I cite the female lollygaggers who flaunt all the principles of topology by managing to deposit well over 100 coins one by one into the boarding vending machine while everyone on the bus noticeably ages. There is no way a purse can actually hold all of those coins, then again this could be a masculine bias in volumetric perception. The relative bang for the buck that you get for your cover charge is highly correlated with the time of boarding. Basically be sure to ride after 10 pm. If your concept of value is more Swiss then don't board between 5pm and 6 pm. ESOL ? Anytime works. So in addition to Yelp parties this is also the bus one takes to get to Wolf Trap. Take the 505 to West falls Church and then get the shuttle. No problem, unless it is Sunday night. I learned the hard way that the shows let out after the last bus back to Reston. The shuttle bus driver said relax all will be good. After everyone else got off he actually drove us and 4 other friends back to Reston. The $40 tip made his day.

Why?  Bathroom breaks, lunch breaks, wages and just maybe RESPECT. Now maybe its one of these things, all of these things or something else all together. Whatever is going on, negotiations between both parties failed.   30,000.00 passager will be affected or more. I am sure the number are higher an the actual percentage of people effected is larger. I have ridden the Connector before, but not as much as others so I don't  feel I can comment on that aspect.  Still, as a professional driver,  I have seen what impact the strike has caused in this shirt time.  We will see how long this lasts. I hope problem aside from wages get fixed and BATHROOM BREAK will be part of the new phase going forwards.

I got off here to go to attend a Yelp event at the town center. Luckily, the train I was on was a newer one; however, the one I rode back on was an older train. The employee I went up to was really nice when directing me on which way to go. One thing to note: this station closes earlier than most of the stations, most likely because it doesn't have a lot of foot traffic.

However, this is one…read moreof the new Silver Line stations that we've all been waiting ages for, so it's worth some notes. First of all, multiple bathrooms that are easy to find. The stations in the District do have bathrooms but over the years they've for all practical purposes been shut for customer use. So having two or three bathrooms in a visible location and clean is a big plus. Hopefully the "clean" part is kept up. This location is also where the shuttle bus to the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum leaves from. Getting to the museum has always involved driving and paying $15 to park, or a long bus ride with potential traffic issues. This hopefully opens up the museum to those who might not otherwise have an opportunity to visit. There isn't much else around the station yet but given all the growth that sprung up around the older 1st phase stations of the Silver Line, that won't be the case for long.
