Brooklynn and Chapo Rip my handsome boys I'm so happy you're both together again.

I love this company we have used them for both of our dogs Brooklynn we lost him to old age and Chapo had cancer in his leg they treat your animals like they are theirs handle them with care and the details they put into giving you them back didn't go unnoticed thank you so much. This is one of the hardest things a fur mama has to do it's like losing a kid so thank you for being so caring, compassionate, and gentle.

Thank you Resting waters for taking care of our sweet Keiko. He was our first pet that was with us for 13 years. He passed on 12.11.24. After his death Resting waters provided a safe space for me and my nieces/husband to say our goodbyes with candlelights and a bed to lay him in. He looked so peaceful. We want to thank you Kale for handling Keiko with love and compassion towards his aftercare. We did not think we would get him before Christmas and you made it happen. We highly recommend Resting Waters. My husband had handled everything with Resting Waters and they were very communicative and explained everything in detail. I also purchased a rose gold heart necklace. Thank you for putting his ashes into that heart for me. I felt peace after getting Keiko today. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you. Dear Resting Waters, When I lost my 16 year old Havanese, we brought him to you. He died at home with me and I was distraught at the loss. My husband came with our dog and you made a lovely space for him to say his final goodbyes. You offered words of comfort but let him have space to be alone. When we picked up the ashes of our sweet puppy I cried all the way home. The thoughtful and beautiful way you prepared things for us made it easy to remember and discuss how much we loved our sweet Ollie. The card you enclosed was so beautiful. I wanted to write and say thank you so much for all you did to make this a beautiful experience.

My sweet cat son died unexpectedly on a recent evening. An internet search led me to Resting Waters and I contacted through Yelp. Not hearing anything by the next morning, I decided to call them directly and was able to make an appointment for the next day (they did respond to my Yelp inquiry later in the day). The next day, I waited outside in the small courtyard in the back until it was my time, then walked in. The door opens to the funeral stage, set up for viewing where you can say your goodbyes. From there, a young lady took my cat's body and prepared him while I filled out a form and looked at a catalog to select a vessel for his remains. The atmosphere was respectful and the space was peaceful and clean. She placed my cat in a small bed, along with his favorite toy that I'd brought, and left me to grieve privately. I walked over to the counter when I was ready and was told his remains would be ready for pickup in about a week. Their call came less than a week later. You drive up to the front, park in the designated area, call to announce your arrival, and what looks like a boutique bag is brought out to you straight away. The bag includes your pet's remains in the vessel you've chosen, a certificate of aquamation, a sympathy card and the numbered token that was used for identification. Also included is a packet of herbs, featuring the same scents used to annoint your pet before aquamation, that you can burn in a private ceremony at home. I am so grateful to Resting Waters for fitting me in so quickly. That long, sad, lonely drive to the Kent crematorium is a thing of the past, now that I know about Resting Waters. Although it will take a long time to overcome the grief of losing my boy, Resting Waters is a class act and am grateful they helped my cat cross softly over to the Rainbow Bridge.

First of all, water cremation = aquamation. Who knew such a thing existed?! I'd heard of cremation before, but never this. It's taken me a few months to write this review... I'd never lost a pet before... and I'd been a dog mama of two for 11 years. So you can imagine my confusion when it came time to think about the end of life process for my Kai, 15 year old papillon mix. He was my first ever dog. In November 2019, we unexpectedly lost him while I was away on international travel. My significant other, Scott, found Resting Waters for me and everything about it felt RIGHT. First, it's way better for the environment (I didn't know cremation was bad in the first place). Secondly, it's located in West Seattle... when i first moved here with Kai and Koa, we lived in Alki... so this felt meant to be. I wasn't there during Kai's passing, but got lots of facetime "i-love-you's" in... but i don't know what I would've done without Scott or Resting Waters. They were so incredibly sensitive and empathetic... I couldn't imagine a better place. The pricing (at least for small dogs) is also quite comparable to traditional cremation. This was a relief as it wasn'ts omething we were expecting to have to pay (I honestly believed my Kai Kai would live until 19). He was so energetic and spry up until his final days. Scott brought Kai to Resting Waters the day after he passed away peacefully... the lady said he had a full hour to say goodbye. They have soft fluffy beds for customers to put their pets on. I was there for the pickup of his "aftercare" - the lady who left a voicemail used those words and her voice was so soothing :'). She was so kind upon pickup. Everything is by appointment only to ensure privacy and enough time to say goodbye. Scott surprised me with an imprint of Kai's paws, and included with each aquamation are the fur clippings (surprisingly packaged beautifully in a glass jar with a cork), ink paw prints, and a biodegradable urn (i expected a vase looking thing, but it looks like a tea canister). We're still not ready to spread his ashes, so he has a little corner on our mantle right now. I have to say... when I first saw his fur clipping, I broke down crying (and I usually don't do that). For those of you who are nearing the loss of a pet, or already lost a pet... Resting waters is an incredible place that will lovingly handle the end of life process with your pet. I'd use them again and again. And idk who needs to hear this... but they know you love them, you've done the best you can, and until we meet our loves again, they'll be playing up "there", unburdened by their physical bodies. Thank you Scotty, for finding this place for our Kai kai. Forever grateful.

My rottweiler died in the middle of the night leaving me devastated. I had no idea what to do. I found this service on yelp, and sent a message. They contacted me right when they opened. I spoke with Darci, who is a wonderfully kind soul. When I arrived I was allowed to say good bye to my girl one last time without feeling rushed. The patience and tranquility Darci exuded will forever be appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Another picture of Resting Water's urn and a matching ceramic vase. The ceramic is of high quality and heavy. I love the matching heart too!

We recently let our 18.5 year old cockapoo dog go and Joslin and Darci at Resting Waters were very caring and accommodating. What a heartwarming and comforting service for our loved companions. They treated our dog, Sammy, and my family with warmth and respect and we felt he was in good hands when we left him for the last time. Resting Waters' services and products are top quality from start to finish. We purchase the ceramic urn and a matching vase, along with the clay paw print impression. When we picked up Sammy's ashes everything was wrapped beautifully. Thank you Joslin and Darci for your precious service. We will always return as clients and have highly recommended you to our veterinarian as well. Thank you also to Kit Roth who came with Joslin to meet us late at night when we dropped Sammy off. It meant a lot.

I've taken 5 of my pets here, and every time been cared for with nothing but kindness and loving empathetic hearts. Exactly what my family needed. Thank you Resting Waters...and FDT.

So this is our 3rd time using Resting Waters within the past year (3 pets total) and I still love using them for our cremation needs. And while it's hard losing a pet I think they make it a little less hard for the furkid parents. When it comes to our furbabies it important to find a place that meets our family members needs, especially at such an emotional time. My wife had already been doing her homework knowing that our pooch would need this type of service sooner than we expected. What was even better was learning about the aquamation process and how it works vs traditional cremation. Darci was great in understanding what we were experiencing and showed the type of compassion we needed for our dog. Highly re

Some people manage to get pre-approved for pets but there is no way to do that on the website, which is confusing. The bad: Seattle Humane listed a dog as no special needs. We took time off work, prepared to visit and apply, we were ready. First in line, the volunteer told me before we met the dog she's undergone 3 operations - 2 for cancer- since arriving. Also she had a major bladder operation and requires special food and no treats, recurrence is likely. None of these are deal breakers for potential adopters w a big budget for operations, but why wasn't this in the description. We met the dog and she was cute, but we didn't get a room- we got to go in her little kennel and squat down (avoiding the urine) and try to get to know this dog who is still wearing a big plastic e-collar. Poor pup! Also meeting her first me, then my husband (as volunteers handed out peanut butter on bags as enrichment which she wanted badly) was chaos. I know these places are busy, and smaller animals are in demand, but for the sake of the dog's success in a new home please be more up front about medical problems AND reward our time outside in the cold lined up for opening by giving us a place to visit where we could both meet the dog without her bumping her plastic head protector on us. Last spring my husband was first in line seeing a dog- they sat him in the kennel w a dog who never came out from the divider in back. They interrupted his visit to say "sorry someone was ahead of you, you need to leave". This was another odd case of a successful dog family being treated like we're really not welcome nor do they care if we adopt. Our last dog lived to be almost 18, our last two cats were 18 and 19 when they passed. Our dog and one cat we're both special. Medical needs. I've trained and shown dogs and I volunteered with animal rescues for over 20 years. I've been on multiple boards of directors for shelters. Adopters are potential donors and supporters and I wish Seattle humane took that more seriously. We were very sad that the dog we had hoped to adopt and arrived. Prepared to apply turned out to have medical needs that were never disclosed. That little dog could've been taken home by the wrong family who really doesn't understand the scope of her medical needs because they didn't find out until they got to the counter and already had their heart set on her. That is the wrong journey for the dog and the humans.
