Angelinne H.

We came here after one of our pets unexpectedly died and after doing our research and finding this was the only place with a rating higher than 2.3. When we brought him, they were very helpful and got us in the same day. We gave instructions of what we wanted to keep after his cremation, and when I picked him up two weeks later, I quickly realized that we didn't get what we asked/paid for. I called the place immediately to ask, in case they had forgotten to put the additional items in our envelope and Carrie took it extremely lightly and just said "oops I miss understood, that's my mistake" as she giggled repeatedly through the call as if it was funny. During the drop off, she took detailed notes and we even went over everything, not once, but twice. For them to not give us what was asked for was very disappointing, but the way she seemed careless and as if it wasn't a big deal, was plain out rude and heartless. Before I could even finish my sentence, she hung up on me after saying there was nothing she could do now. I was also not allowed to go inside to pick up my baby's ashes and belongings and was told to wait outside by my car. I was also told it would take about a week and I called to inquire on the status and was told she'd call me back by the end of day and I never got a call back. The whole process after dropping off was so unprofessional to say the least. I will not use their services in the future. These are the feathers we got vs the feathers we had asked for-which were a few tail ones and some of the more colorful ones from his wings. But instead we got some wing ones that don't even show his true vivid colors and are more like the inner wing feathers. Reply to owner's comment: When we dropped Paulie off, we did specify which feathers we wanted. The first thing I said was TAIL feathers, and then some wing feathers with the bright colors if possible. What we went over was what was verbally said, not what you wrote down on your paper. When I got my copy, I did notice it just said "wants some feathers", but being that we did discuss which ones and confirmed it twice, I trusted that's what was gonna be done. As far as you giggling, cause I never said laughing at me, yes you were through the whole call. You were either nervous because you got called out and you even admitted to making that mistake yourself during our conversation on the phone and now you're backtracking or I'm not sure why, but you most definitely were. What I paid for is for the cremation and everything that comes with it, which is the keepsakes of your pet such as feathers in our case. Funny how now you want to pick and chose what's included. If it's not something that comes with what I'm paying for, then you're telling me I wouldn't even get any if you last minute decided not to because I'm "not paying for them"?? You sound ridiculous honestly. So yes, I didn't fully get what I paid for!! So I'm not making false accusations or lying about anything. I have no reason to as I'm not looking for refunds or compensation of any sort. Just want people to really know how your place works and what really happens through the whole process. That's what reviews were invented for. To help the public in their decision making. As far as the picking up goes, yes, I was originally scheduled at 3 and I kindly called to see if I could come sooner, but would've understood if you didn't have the time or were booked already and would've respected my 3 o'clock appointment, but you never said no. Nowhere in the paperwork, or your website or even verbally were we told how your pick up process works and that we'd have to wait outside. If you don't want people assuming, then be clear and honest from the start. And lastly, you did hang up on me because I was clearly still talking and had my phone up to my ear when it disconnected after you just said "well, there's nothing I can do now" and that was all. Maybe you should be a little more humble and learn to take criticism in a constructive way. The fact that you can never take accountability for your actions or choice of words is beyond me. All the replies to the negative reviews are always similar to the reply I got but you make it seem like you're never in the wrong.

Thank you Carrie for all the care and understanding you gave Emmie and I during this heartbreaking time. Especially for the ink paw prints that will be tattooed on my wrist next week.

We used Precious Pets for the cremation of our little kitty. They were kind and caring. They made a difficult time a little easier.

I was even more pleased when Carrie told me we could have him cremated with a blanket and a couple of his toys.

Not how I wanted to start the new year but Ark Northwest and it's proprietor, Scott definitely helped ease the pain and made Bandit's transition easier. Still absolutely crushed and will probably never really get over it. But it's a rare company and owner like this that really understands and cares about you and the special bond you share with your pet. We've got one more 15 year old black lab that's lived a long life and will definitely bring her to Ark Northwest when she decides it's her time to pass on. Highly recommend Scott's services, whether you plan for your pet's future or things happen on short notice as was my case. He was kind enough to prepare Bandit's ashes within a 24 hour pickup as I honestly didn't want to begin the 2025 new year without my dog's memorial above the fireplace. Still have the companionship of a 15 year old black lab retriever at the house but we know where we'll be taking her once she decides it's her time to pass on. My beloved Mikey passed away and I was looking for the perfect place that provided cremation…read moreservices that met several of my criteria. It was actually pretty tough to find but I'm very very grateful to the Chambers Creek Pet Memorial Park team. I wanted to ensure people who were looking for the service in this area knew because it was a tremendous help to me and I'd also like to share my experience in the hopes that it helps. Specifically Pamela and Scott were so so kind and patient with us and it was much appreciated. I needed and was looking for, 1. Private, individual cremation with a system that assured us there would be no mix up - Yes, they ONLY do private cremations with metal ID tags they use once 2. Delivering our baby ourselves if possible - Yes 3. Viewing of our baby going in if possible - Yes, this was very unusual I only found one other place in Seattle that allows this 4. Waiting the duration of the cremation if possible - We could have but it's very long and not recommended, we did not end up doing this 5. Reasonable, timely return of our baby, NOT through the vet or the mail - One of the most important factors, the majority of places send the ashes to your vet or they MAIL to your home which is unimaginable. I would never put Mikey in the incompetent hands of USPS or whoever, I find this process despicable. The majority of places also take 3-10 days to return your beloved to you which again was unimaginable for me. Instead Chambers Creek allowed us to pick up in person from them directly and we did so in less than 24 hours. My husband found their website which was really helpful and I called the day before to confirm availability and pricing which was more than reasonable. The address that is listed on their website actually takes you to the main New Tacoma Cemetery which is for people but there is a smaller building attached to it with a little fire hydrant in front that is the pet section. They have a selection of urns/memorials/headstones/coffins if you'd like to choose one in their small office. We sat down with Pamela as she kindly filled out the forms for us, had me sign, and take care of payment. We were then introduced to Scott who we followed in our car to the cemetery/buildings across the street. They warned us the pet crematorium which is completely separate and pet specific had a warehouse feel just in case we were alarmed. It is like a warehouse but has American flags and a metal box that is the crematorium, the setting didn't bother me. Scott explained the process and we were allowed to gently place Mikey with his private ID marker so he wouldn't be mixed up with someone else by any chance. At any rate, this place generally only has one pet at a time so there's very little chance to begin with. Scott was very patient and respectful while our family was incredibly upset,we never felt rushed but rather impressed and at peace and we're grateful. We stayed until the main light came on, at 4.5 pounds they expected Mikey to be done in around 3 hours, it takes more time to cool and Scott to personally sweep up the ashes. He also asked if we'd like his ashes finely powdered or not and we asked for finely powered. I've been through this earlier this year with family and they treated Mikey just as respectfully as he were a beloved human. We were able to personally pick up Mikey from Scott in less than 24 hours and brought him home. We're waiting to purchase a personalized urn so we let them know it's OK that Mikey comes home in a bag to us as it's' a temporary arrangement and his baggy was tied with the ID tag that went in with him. Overall, I know I was picky and asked for a lot and am incredibly grateful to Pamela and Scott and this business for their kindness, patience, empathy, and accommodating nature. Mikey gave me the purest unconditional love that I'm sure I'll never experience again, for 16 marvelous years, and we were able to send him off on his final journey in the way we wanted and thought was the best for him. For this, I'll be eternally grateful to this team, I highly recommend them for pet cremation services.
