First off, you need to make a reservation. The restaurant is small and very popular. I was able to…read moremake a reservation for the same day though, because luckily Portugal had a World Cup match that night. We sat inside the cantina side. Our server was adorable and bubbly with a great sense of humor. She did get really busy though toward the end of our meal and it was a challenge to flag her down for our check. With that said, she provided exceptional service earlier. This is the kind of place you want to go to with others who love tasting a variety of dishes. I went with my family who is not into that concept, and so I had to choose just one dish that I would not be sharing, as no one else wanted to share theirs either. Some of the dishes were quite small, but mine was not! I ordered the octopus which was cooked to perfection and had a mix of potatoes and greens underneath. Would definitely order this again! It was one of the best octopus dishes I've ever had. The one thing we did share was the croquettes. They were delightful, but kind of expensive as they were 1.70Euros each and were literally one bite, but a very flavorful bite at that. I also had a few glasses of their summer sangria which I rather enjoyed. I would return here when in Cascais again, but maybe with a different group of people so that we can treat it as tapas as it should be instead of individual dishes. There's so much more I want to try from their menu!

We split 3 dishes and definitely couldn't do a 4th as the portions were perfect to share. Dishes we ordered were the octopus with Migas, the wild crispy shrimps and the Ze Povinho which is black pork cheeks slow cooked in red wine. The octopus was incredibly tender and served over potatoes that had a lot of flavor. The shrimps were 4 large (prawns not sure why they were called shrimo?) were fried but nice and juicy. The puree of the avocado and mango with the prawns was a winning combo! We were both pretty full but ate every bit of the pork beef cheeks which was served with au gratin potato that had a hint of dill in it which I was surprised I like as I'm not a huge dill fan.. Once we got to this spot and this are in general we knew it was the place to be at. Monday evening and packed!

They describe it as a gastronomic experience, so to say that my friend and I were excited is an understatement. Already sat on the table were some tasty morsels - the bread Selection with homemade butters, tuna pâté, crab pâté and cheese that was marinated in olive oil and paprika. This was a charming start to the meal and experience. We quickly followed it with starters of roasted scallops with sweet potato purée and bacon and garlic Shrimp and green wine sauce. Our excellent waiter recommended the veal entrecote with onion purée and the whole grilled seabass for main course and we went with his recommendation. He certainly knows what he is talking about. Lesson learned - listen to your waiter! Making room for dessert is a speciality that my friend and I have mastered over the years. This time we made room for Cheesecake with Passion Fruit Coulis, Dark Chocolate Dome, Caramel and Cherry Ice Cream and Sardine Ice cream. Not our usual trio but tasted great. All the while, we watched the beauty of the ocean from our elevated view. It was an amazing way to spend a lunch. Highly recommended for anyone at any time. The game was on when I visited and that seemed to draw a crowd, so it was packed. Seemed to get even busier after 8. Service was friendly and the prices are super reasonable for huge portions. From the menu, it's not exactly clear what the platters come with, but my chicken platter came with salad, fries, and rice, which was perfect. I also ordered couvert (bread, olives, oil) and cheese, plus wine. Everything was delicious. Though I'm fairly sure this is not a piri-piri spot, I asked for pepper (was looking for ground black pepper for my salad) and received piri-piri sauce and was overjoyed. I loved the chicken. The skin was crispy and flavorful but not super oily. I couldn't finish everything. If you need a fast-casual spot or some takeaway (I think they are on Uber Eats, too), this is a great option.

You'd be hard pressed to find another place in Cascais/Estoril to eat for 10€ per person and get as much food as we had here. The chicken plate is a half chicken and it comes with rice and fries and salad and is GIANT! The owners/people working here are super friendly and welcoming. Really great service, great food.
