A coexistence between modern and traditional dishes. This glass encased restaurant offers a variety of sushi options as well as traditional Portuguese dishes. Looking at the menu was difficult to decide what to pick as everything looked amazing. I decided to try a little sushi appetizer (salmon tartar with avocado and mango) and for my main dish a traditional option (codfish with cornbread topping sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes). My other 2 guests picked octopus and steak dishes. Food was fresh and flavors were amazing. Although I didn't opt for the octopus or the steak, my guests shared a little bit of their dishes with me (for review purpose of course ). The octopus was tender and I absolutely loved the cornbread bean mash. As for my 4 star rating rather than a five star, I was a bit disappointed when I tried a piece of the steak dish. Although flavor was great I found that the steak was a bit tough. We also tried some dessert (pudim abade and crips stuffed leite creme) which again did not disappoint. The leite creme (creme brûlée) was my favorite. Presented with a twist.... rather than the traditional caramelized topping it was prepared inside flaky pastry pockets. Absolutely divine. The white wine we chose didn't disappoint either. Coming from the vineyards of my cousin's husband's, I had to give it a try and glad I did. A nice lighter choice with our dinner which paired well with the sushi appetizer as well as the main dishes and dessert. The atmosphere was elegant but not stuffy rather had a cool modern vibe. All in all if you ever find yourself in the north part of my beautiful country of Portugal, do yourself a favor and stop by this place. You won't be disappointed! read more
