The mushroom/asparagus/egg dish came with strong, bold flavors, like it was all cooked in a sweet wine sauce. And the standout dish was the grilled octopus on sweet potato mash and garlicky spinach. The tentacle was Kraken-sized, perfect texture, and superbly grilled. I will be dreaming of this tentacle for months to come. Loss of one star because it took FOREVER to get our check. They re-opened recently and have a bar downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. The views over the valley and of the sun going down over the Minho is as breathtaking as ever, and this time, the food is great. Followed by a succulent octopus arm that had simmered in the oven to perfection. The crema de leite was OK, as was the quarter of alvarinho which they graciously provided (normally, it's by the bottle). All this cost me 23.50 EUR and of course, the price of the taxi. The day of my visit, I was all alone. It looks like foreigners don't know this place. It certainly deserves a visit and I wish them all the luck!
