    Lobster dish

Was staying at St. Regis and this is one of 3 restaurants that are currently open on the resort. They are only open on certain days so I would double check before making a trip here. Opted out of the tasting menu and ordered the lobster. Very savory and well cooked. The sauce complemented the lobster very well. Was a little confused by the sausage in my lobster dish but I guess that was their "Mexican take" on it. It was beautifully plated! Dining was all outdoors due to covid and tables were well spaced out. Service was great as well! Not sure if I would make my way out to come here but would recommend if you're staying at the resort. Nice change from scarfing down tacos and ceviche for the past couple of days.

Came here for a nice dinner while staying in punta de mita. This was the first diamond rated restaurant I have ever been to, so my expectations were pretty high. The area where the st Regis hotel, four seasons, and other high end hotels and private residences are located is very secluded with greenery and palm trees all around. The restaurant decor was very plain, but what the restaurant lacked in ambience, it makes up for with the dishes. Each one was delicious and unique. I had the best ceviche I've ever tasted at this restaurant and although it was pricey, it was an experience.

Went here a few weeks ago with a couple of friends and had really great time. This place can be really romantic, especially if you sit outside and watch the sunset. Great service, a very friendly and professional waiter who was checking up on us all the time. I wish that this was not a Mexican restaurant because most of the dishes were made to perfection, but then they had some kind of salsa or sauces added to them, which for me, just ruined the whole taste. Like pork dish. The pork was fantastic, everything else on the plate, just complimented each other perfectly..but then everything was plated on the top of some kind of a red sauce, that really didn't make any sense being there at the first place. Still, as I said at before, we had a great time and will always come back here when in Punta Mita.

An all-around excellent meal missing that oomph to put it over the edge. 4.5 stars. My wife and I started in the bar with award-winning mixologist Omar, who made a version of my own concoction better than even I make it. He is a professional and a joy to converse with. Our meal began with somewhat slow service that improved as the night wore on. Unfortunately the outside seating area was closed due to mosquitos. Certainly understandable, but still a disappointment. The interior decor and lighting left a little to be desired, too, especially the excessively bright lights. I highly recommend dimming them and placing candles on the tables. The flowers on our table, however, were gorgeous. The meal consisted of multiple courses, though in reality, we really only ordered three. The rest were amuse bouches and the like. Always a classy touch. Our initial "course" was a small, US Quarter small, piece of bread topped with onion ash and served with seasoned butter. Delicious, but would have loved more bread to go with the fantastic butter. Second course was a king crab dumpling served in a delicious vegetable broth. I'd recommend adding this to the starters options, as it might have been the highlight of the meal. I could eat ten of those dumplings. The first course of what we'd ordered was, for me, baby squid with a black tamale in a black ink sauce, and a remarkably large portion for a stater. Delicious and gorgeously plated. My wife had grilled zucchini in a white bean sauce, topped with cilantro, also artistically delivered. Outstanding, but a much smaller portion than mine. She finished long before I finished my dish. The zucchini was also a replacement for what was listed on the menu as grilled heart of palm; warned in advance, but a solid substitution for sure. Her watching me eat was a little awkward. After this course, another tiny bread course of milk bread topped with toasted sunflower seeds. Again, could have gone for more; delicious. The main courses were excellent for both; I had the Chile relleno, which, normally is covered in cheese and stuffed with ground beef. Get that out of your head. This version was stuffed with a delicious soft shell crab and covered in an amazing white bean sauce (distinct from the earlier sauce). My wife had the snapper, the catch of the day, which put my meal to shame; that's saying something, too, since mine was excellent. Hers was on another level, especially the avocado/pineapple puree topped with caviar. Outstanding. For dessert, my wife had the chocolate option, an excellent choice, while I had honey ice cream inside a shell, sprinkled with frozen raspberries, crushed almonds, and goat cheese. I'd recommend fresh raspberries if possible instead, but otherwise fantastic. Overall, an excellent meal, but not quite over the top for a full fifth star. The food presentation/plating throughout was great, if not artistic, but some of the flavors lacked punch. And while this should be a romantic fine dining spot, it was simply way too bright to complete that feel.

The new chef Jesus brings Carolina to a whole new level and every dish we tasted was extraordinary. It is evident that his pedigree of having worked at a two star Michelin restaurant has paid off in his ability to prepare a superb meal. Service was also at a very high-level which was unexpected but appreciated. We will be returning soon.

We ordered the bbq for 2. It was a plate with some of everything(beef, ribs, chicken, pork and sausage) and cactus, grilled onions, beans, tortillas and a couple of small quesadillas on the side. Our server spoke excellent English and the place was very comfortable. They have a nice area for kids. If you want to come during the day and have them hang out there while they're waiting for their food. I got the barbecue sauce which is a side that you have to ask for and it was very tasty We really enjoyed this place. It felt more authentic and more local than most of the places we normally go to in the South part of the town on the coast. It was about a third less expensive.

Rooftop patio with twinkle lights, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food -- what more can you ask for! We got the guacamole and tuna sashimi as appetizers, and the guacamole (as well as the complimentary salsa) was made right at the table to our exact specifications (mild, please!). We weren't really drinking tonight, so got virgin strawberry daiquiris which were essentially delicious smoothies. I bet the real ones are top notch, too. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, which came with additional guacamole, rice, and beans in a build-your-own style. My partner had the tomato cream soup, which came with biscuits and had a beautiful presentation. We asked if they served lunch on the way out (they do, opens at 2pm), since we can't wait to come back. We got two churros to go since some of the reviews raved about them -- still too full to eat them but looking forward to it!

We decided to dine here on our first evening in Punta Mita and it was an enjoyable meal. The place was a little loud if I'm being honest, but the sunset view quickly made up for that. The staff were especially nice and attentive. We started with the Chips and Guacamole, and the guacamole was exceptional. Next up was the Tuna Carpaccio which was fantastic. We then had fresh Baked bread with a very tasty spread, the Burrata and Greek salads. My better half really enjoyed the Greek salad most of all while I leaned more towards the Burrata. She had the Grilled Fish, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The kid had the Beef Tenderloin and he really, really liked it. I had the New York Strip, which was good but not great. Everything was a little heavy on the olive oil TBH. The Baklava and Pistachio Ice Cream dessert was pretty good, but the Baklava was quite dry. All in all, it was a very nice experience and I would recommend going here.

Goodness. Whoever invented that dessert deserves an award, a parade, and maybe even a national holiday. It was creamy, dreamy, tropical perfection, and I have legitimately been thinking about it every single day since my last bite. If "dessert withdrawal" is a thing, I have it. If you like great food, beautiful views, or desserts that will haunt your dreams (in the BEST way), this place is a must. I'm already planning my return--strictly for coconut therapy.

While they do have a couple of tables inside the open air restaurant and a few at the bar, the majority of the seats are on the beach. We could have sat inside, but the view was so pretty that we stayed outdoors. We started with the roasted potato churros with a side of black caviar which, surprisingly was delicious! For our main meal, we dined on the grilled whole lobster and meat & mole with a side of grilled mushrooms. The meal was delicious, but the lobster was local and the tail was not as big as I would have liked for the price that we paid. Arturo, our waiter surprised me for my birthday and brought out a shaved coconut filled with mango, crumble and tapioca. This was arguably one of the best meals during our week long trip and Arturo was a great waiter.
