    Surf & Turf

After a 10+ hour flight, I wanted to eat somewhere casual and cozy. Restaurant Tight was just around the corner from where I was staying, and did not disappoint! The vibes were exactly what I was hoping for. It looks small when you first walk in, but surprisingly, it can accommodate quite a few people. What I thought would be a quiet evening turned out to be a bit louder than I wanted. I sat upstairs, and from the balcony, I could see large, boisterous parties below. I ordered the Surf 'n' Turf, which featured a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak, tiger prawns, and shellfish croquettes, all beautifully plated on top of lobster sauce. I'd definitely return, though next time, I'm hoping for a quieter service!

I stopped by for lunch after walking around the city/doing sightseeing. Had Caesar salad - with juicy chicken and bacon...nice portion and perfect lunch for me! The server was friendly and polite (in fact, I never had bad service while in the region). The ground level of the restaurant is perfect for people watching, btw!

Where do I begin to share an eating experience that was so delectable and so incredibly mouthwatering that it overcame a bought of my Barrett's esophagus acting up? I'm afraid of going to sleep for fear of drooling in my dreams and drowning!! The wondrous evening began with the cheerful Danish Maitre'D politely accepting my nitwit reservation for one that I made on line without typing in my name! He pretended to be as astounded with me I that my reservation had no name! Thankfully they serve the infirm who don't scroll down enough in life! But instead of relegating me to a high chair, which I truly deserved for my infantile mistake, he found a spot upstairs next to some lively Italians. Their language is music. And another clue to a fine eatery? French clientele too trolled their gossamer language in rising and ebbing tides of delight. So I had three items: first: the liver pate which I inhaled. You ever eat items on a plate and you don't know what most of them are but the more you taste, the more you love every morsel - whatever it is? The patè and its accoutrements were my seduction. Foie Gras terrine with Rosmarin glace, syltet pære og hypenpure lead to.... THE MAIN ORGIASTIC WOW-DISH! Veal tenderloin with Madeira sauce with truffle, pommes Dauphinoise, chanterelles, butter-braised leeks and freshly cut corn! You read right! So absolutely besotted was I that I ate too quickly and I inhaled a chunk. I began doing what the choking poster illustrates. Only there's never a Heimlicher around to help a choking Barrette's esophogianist so off to the loo I went where a mother was languidly changing her tot until the hub noted a Blue Baby panting - namely - ME! He ushered me in the stall where I hoch tuahed the victual cork! But here's the important part. Here's what's amazing. I returned to my plate, dress shirt stripped off to under tshirt from DC, dazed. Then I gazed upon the tenderloin I'd grazed upon that was left and ....fearlessly capitulated to eating every single molecule!! It was that good!! No hesitation - DEVOURED! Smask! The desert of raspberry crumble with ice cream was a pleasant sweet sorrowful departure to the EPICUREAN Ecstasy THAT PROCEEDED IT! As I lie here next to the Tower Bell's sonorous intonation of the passage of time clanging goodnight at Rådhuspladsen, a wave of sorrow washes over me that I cannot live out the Nietzschean "eternal recurrence" test here - the one of whether an Experience is worth Experiencing where the test is: it is worth doing if you'd want to do it forever! That's how good this was: I'd eat her forever if I could! You think I'm kidding! I dare you! Go!!!

Still in Copenhagen decided to try out a new restaurant this time. Nordik cuisine with southern flair... that was an amazing experience from the food to the service and atmosphere, everything was exquisite!!! Most item are GF with a very knowledgeable staff... i highly recommend and will definitely be back!! I had the Miso salmon appetizer and the Jerusalem artichoke main course... Why is it called Tight? Cause it's tight quarters...reservations is probably a good idea!

I was looking for a place to eat late on a Friday night. Many restaurants kitchens had closed early or were full. I walked up the host stand and was able to get seating for myself around 9:30. Score. Inside is very warm, cozy and inviting. Staff was very kind and helpful. It was a busy Friday night, so service was a bit spaced out. I chose the lamb which suggested a glass of Beaujolais to go with it. The meal was phenomenal - fantastic flavoring which went well with the wine. It was a great way to end the evening. I'd absolutely recommend coming if nearby.

The portions were very very small for the price and both the waitstaff and the kitchen were slow. They had no tables for walk ins within 2 hours of when we tried to eat, and so we sat at minuscule slanted outdoor chairs. Food was pretty good but was more basic than it should have been.

Visited at 5pm on a Sunday night and the restaurant was suprisingly empty. I didn't come with super high expectations but the food here was absolutely amazing. The miso salmon was nicely marinated and the pork ribs were among the best I've ever had! Prices are average for the area and service is very courteous. I look forward to returning to try more if the menu!

We ate at Tight for lunch today. Most of our group picked selections from the lunch Smorgasbord menu. It was ALL fantastic!!

Fantastic fresh food! We ate from the lunch Smorgasbord selections...everything was FANTASTIC! Great service. Very clean bathrooms!

I am so glad Gasoline Burger ran out of meat! So although I had browsed at this restaurant's reviews earlier in the day I decided I wanted the burger everyone claims is the best...luckily for me they ran out at two locations. So I decided to make my journey back to my hotel and hoped that I would find something along the way. As I was doing so I was looking at my google maps in which I noticed the name "Tight". I'm like hey that's that restaurant I looked at...question was, were they going to take me without a reservation, being that most of the nice restaurants in the area require one. I took my chances and went down the side street. The hostess ask wether I had a reservation, I replied no, a young man looked at her and pointed to the table in the corner. She said I'll just have to clean that for you. Perfect! Everything here was great from the food to the service to the ambience. My G&T wasn't watered down and it was quite large, so you're definitely getting your moneys worth. The lobster bisque was delightful. The hake dish was so damn delicious, I've never had hake before and I doubt anyone back home can make it as good at this one was. It was so flavorful! Closed it off with a yummy apple and blueberry crumble.

The service was excellent. We walked in without making a reservation, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to be seated in less than 5 minutes. We ordered veal tenderloin with mushrooms and potatoes, and BBQ baby back ribs with salad and potatoes. The pork was from a local organic farm. The veal was very tender and juicy, and the ribs were fantastic, flavorful and crunchy. Both were delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Fresh, deep and delicious. Charming, warm and efficient dinner. The lamb was served in this sanding jus with pomegranates and a butter salad that was spot on! A charming must visit spot!

Located near old town Christiana, two Michelin star restaurant Kadeau Copenhagen is an offshoot of an original location in Bornholm. Much of the food and produce for this menu still comes from Bornholm, grounding the New Nordic, seafood-focused menu in a sense of place. I typically prefer an evening reservation, but lunch is what fit into my schedule on this day and I can't imagine a more perfect timing to see the ethereal, artistic dining room in the natural sunlight. The dining room reminded me a bit of being inside Musée de l'Orangerie's Waterlilies exhibit: it's a truly meditative setup. The service from start to finish is truly unreal, and rivals three star restaurants I have been to. Every small touch is made for you to enjoy your experience. Shout out to one of the chefs who tipped off the other restaurant I was dining at on the same day, who greeted me and asked me about my experience at Kadeau when I arrived there. I came for the start of Growing Season in May 2025. For this meal, I chose the non-alcoholic pairing, which I could not possibly recommend enough. It was hands down, the most perfect flavor pairing for the food I have ever had and each new drink was more inventive and fun than the last. The sourcing from Bornholm really played well here, as a lot of similar ingredients from a dish became part of the drink (lot of plum notes when I went). I think my favorites were the Japanese Quince, Hemp, and Honey (which had just a light effervescence) or the Apple and Unfiltered Bee Pollen drink. But honestly, I would go and do this meal all over again for the unreal drink pairing alone. I do a lot of fine dining and always enjoy my meals, but Kadeau was one of the first meals where I felt like I did not have a single bad or even middling bite out of the 15 courses. I have dietary restrictions (no red meat), but few dishes really required substitution. Each new dish was light, flavorful, nuanced, and so so delicious. The shrimps tart with quince and ants was a bit more adventurous than what I normally go for, but ended up being one of my favorite bites. The hot and cold smoked salmon was a dish I'll remember forever and I loved hearing that the chef moved from Las Vegas to Copenhagen just to learn how to make that dish. The plum "soft serve" with plum oil, vinegar, schnapps/ caramel, was such a great example of how inventive they could be with truly all of the elements that build flavor. It was a once in a lifetime meal. This is certainly an expensive meal, but in a city with a lot of tasty meals to choose from, Kadeau is one to truly remember.

A foodie friend, who travels the world just to eat at Michelin restaurants, told me he enjoyed his experience here better than Noma. So I marked my calendar for the day summer reservations were released and got a seating. We had a lovely table by the window, where I could see some of the kitchen activity. The chefs all seemed so calm & professional, and the servers were outstanding. The set menu was incredible, and my husband did the wine pairing, which he really enjoyed. A lot of spectacular seafood. Stunning presentations and incredible attention to detail. Besides the food being unbelievable, it was such a fun experience!! We had a lot of questions, and our servers couldn't have been nicer! They brought out ingredients that we were unfamiliar with, so we could see them. They let us taste a fresh herb (not exciting) and then the dried version (amazing!) When we left, everyone was waiting for us and we got a wonderful photo. We will never forget this spectacular meal!

Ordered "Six Favorites" and "Fast Four" courses. The staff helpfully suggested that they could replace lamb with monk fish for one of the courses on the "Fast Four" for my spouse. The starter stole the show: Zander with aromatic blackcurrant wood oil, finger lime, kohlrabi infused in dashi, bright citrus herbs and topped with sauce of fresh apple, celery, dashi. An amazing dish, unlike anything we've tasted: light, refreshing, clean-tasting, illuminated by aroma of blackcurrant wood oil and citric accents. A delight for the taste buds. Homemade sourdough bread (brushed with smoked bone marrow) was very tasty but seemed slightly burnt on top and quite salty. We enjoyed the texture contrast of the puffed carrot skin pre-starter snack: this contains carrot with elderflower purée, topped with fermented carrot, pickled thyme gel and roasted hazelnuts. The combination was unique and complimentary. Dessert was sea buckthorn sorbet, mousse with parsley crumble: well conceived, exquisitely composed. The sorbet was unbelievably smooth absent of any trace of iciness. ****.5

When you're sitting there, paying an obscene amount of money for a tasting menu, it's impossible to ignore what's widely known about how this place has operated for years. The tension in the room is palpable. Service feels rigid and strained rather than warm. It doesn't feel like people who love what they're doing. It feels like people trying not to make a mistake. After going, I looked deeper into the restaurant and its leadership, and it only confirmed what I felt. René Redzepi has openly admitted in interviews that he was abusive and a bully as a leader for much of the restaurant's rise. For years, Noma relied heavily on unpaid or underpaid labor, with brutal hours normalized as part of the "experience." Knowing that completely reframes what you're eating and who paid the real price for it. As for the food, some dishes were interesting, but plenty crossed the line from thoughtful into gimmicky. Once the mythology wears off, a lot of it feels like provocation for its own sake. Innovation loses its shine when it's built on exhaustion and fear behind the scenes. I'm glad I went once, if only to see through the illusion. I won't go again, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're more interested in checking off a status box than supporting a restaurant that treats people with basic dignity.

It was a nomadic restaurant full of innovation, one of a kind, and I was dying to try it! We flew to Copenhagen just for this meal so my expectations were very high. I also went with an open mind to try anything they put in front of me, because that's what it's all about, expanding your tastes and flavors. At least for me.
