After settling in the small, cozy restaurant - sadly inside as all tables outside were booked - we were nicely greeted by the stuff and shown our table. Although the dining room has an over all charming atmosphere, the furniture seems a little bit cheap and IKEA-esque.

We were served a "fennel soup", so we were told. What a shame! The soup tasted just like pure cream without any spices and even fennel was missing.
* Entree *
We were served "petit legumes", an antipasti-like assortement of different, cold vegetables. It tasted quite good, was nicely flavoured, but failed to leave a deep impression. We also had ordered mussle soup, which was simply fascinating; so soft and tastefuel!
* Main dish *
We had ordered "Thonc blanc" (Thuna steak), which could have been cooked jst a little bit more, but was actually very good and seasoned quite to my taste. We also tried mushroom stuffed rabbit with polenta and green beans. For drinking, we had a Rosé.
* Desert *
This was the highlight of the menu. The speciality of the house was french toast, so we were told, and the toast was actually delicious, sweet and tasty.
Overall, the meal was quite good, but the main dish was a little bit disappointing. The service stuff was friendly, helpful and quite well trained. Considering the quite expensive price for the whole meal, I would rate Restaurant Thomas at 3-4 stars. read more
