I was checking places to go for a nice dinner with my girlfriend and I found this place. During the week they offer a 3 course menu for 15 Euro. We decided to give it a try and passed by the restaurant without making reservation on Tuesday evening. It is a very small restaurant in one of the side streets from Haarlem main market. After bringing us the drinks the waitress, who didnt seem too interested in her job, brought the menus and to my surprise the 15 Euro "stunt" menu wasnt include there and she didnt mention it. Moreover there is no information about the menu anywhere in the restaurant, but only on their website. After asking about the special menu we heard that this is indeed a possibility and we could choose out of 3 options for each course. We went ahead with tomato soup - for my friend and carpaccio for me, for main - devil scampi - those were spicy small shrimps with turkish bread, aioli and salad - you can pay 2.5 Euro extra for fries, which we didnt do. For the desert - coconut and passionfruit cake. The food overall was quite tasty and a good value for money - 15 Euro we spent. Why did i give only 3 stars - the service lacked attention and waitress didnt inform us about special menu, moreover - quality of food for 15 Euro was quite good, however paying a full menu price I would find it overpriced. read more
