We stopped there with my partner on the way to the city center and were pleasantly surprised.
Despite a lackluster decoration or ambiance, this is a nice and cozy spot, with a great service and a lot of locals treating it as a meeting/lunch/dinner/drinks spot.
We went for a calzone for me and a lasagna for my partner. I was pleasently surprised by the quality of the calzone - made from thin dough, with a nice partially cooked egg inside and all the right feelings. My partner was equally pleasantly surprised by getting a whole individual, freshly prepared lasagna, rather than just a reheated slice.
The desert - pannacotta - came unfortunately a bit frozen compared to what we were expecting to, and compared to the rest of the meal was a bit lackluster, but still nice by itself.
And of course coffee. Coffee was absolutely, positively delicious and I am happy we took some of it! read more
