I finally got to go there two months ago with my boyfriend and another Yelp Elite for dinner. So, here's the deal- this place looks like it is straight out of India. Very no frills and very basic design, etc. It actually reminded me slightly of a hotel restaurant I ate at in India whilst watching cricket. The only difference is the hotel I ate at didn't call itself "call food" which makes me think I'm picking up hookers and not a samosa. Anyways. The food that first night was delicious and hearty. It had immense flavor and even came with a nice amount of heat. I knew the place had a 6 Euros all-you-can-eat buffet during the week, so I vowed to get back for that as soon as I could! I finally made it back for the buffet and it didn't disappoint. The buffet consisted of two different chicken dishes, one very spicy and the other rather mild, palak, dal, papadoms, and two types of rice. The buffet is not huge, but I was rather grateful for that. Every dish was exceptional and made for a very enjoyable lunch. Despite being run by Sri Lankans, they do carry dishes from all over India, as well as some Sri Lankan specialties and a few Pakistani ones. I don't believe there is any halal meet, however (not 100% on that). They also don't serve alcohol. I can't wait to get back to this place. It is not for everyone, but considering Indian is my go-to food most days of the week at home, it is nice to find a basic, yet delicious place to eat out every-so-often.

I was distraught and figured I'd probably never get the chance to eat there as the hours cater completely to the working individuals that work in close proximity to the place. I kind of wrote the place off. Fast forward months later (like six months later!) and I realize that I've kind of been eating here all along- just at their lunch food truck in Eschborn! And yes, it is awesome. I started going here a while back with my boyfriend for lunch since he works in Eschborn. The food truck is cheap, the seating area is packed to the brim with Indians, and the food is just plain good. I started going here during the colder months and they have a tented area that has heaters in it so that one can enjoy food on site. I have previously gotten a chicken vindaloo and it was nice and spicy and still super tasty. More recently as I've been switching back to my old vegetarian ways, I've been getting the channa aloo vegetarian thali. It costs 4,90 Euros. And seriously, the portion is MASSIVE. It also comes with a fresh raita and side of lentils and huge portion of rice. Sometimes I order naan, but not too much recently as the thali in itself is so filling. The chicken dishes are only 1 Euro more than the veggie ones. The food is no frills and so good for its price. While it may be catering a bit more to the German market, to see so many Indians eating here is refreshing and tells one that the food is of high quality and standards. I recently figured out that this was the same place by asking the guys running the truck. They even gave me a menu indicating differences between the locations and hours and what not. This is definitely the place to eat if in Eschborn.

The food is fantastic and reasonably priced- for 5.80 you get a chicken dish with a veg side, raita and rice. For a little bit more, you can get a Bombay thali or a veg thali allowing you to taste a wide range of the dishes available. The food tastes brilliant and is perfectly spiced. The curry truck is part of the Bombay curry house on Mainzer landStr. I'd highly recommend people who are looking for places to lunch in Eschborn to check out this place- you will not be disappointed.

The menu is extensive and there is plenty of choice for most people. The food here is ok and nothing special. The dal makhani was spicy as I asked for it so. The palak paneer was ok and less sweet than some other places I have eaten at before. The roti was a bit bland and tasteless and I ended up throwing away half of it. Nothing I tasted made me want to come back here. I will give it another try and decide. I would rate the food here 2.5 stars at best. Staff were friendly and always trying to upsell. They seemed preoccupied with other things and it took a while to get the food ready despite the place being almost empty. It's an ok place and I am not convinced it will get any better next time but, we shall see.

Menus were brought quickly and the waiter mentioned that aside from the lunch menu, they also have an extra lunch special of some chicken curry that includes an appetizer and a dessert for 9€. We decided to order from the lunch menu though and I opted for the vegetable curry and a side of naan bread. My friend went for the chicken curry with fruit and spicy chickpeas. We did not have to wait very long for our food, but received a complimentary salad as an appetizer first which was a nice touch. Overall, the food was pretty good. The naan and my friend's chickpeas were my favorite items but everything was pretty tasty. The service was friendly and quick enough - I have no complaints.
