Was so disappointed with this place. Decided to sit outside as the inside was so bright it hurt your eyes! Ordered the escargot to start which were pretty good. Then order the Scwinhaxe, which I read a number of good reviews about so was super excited. As soon as it came out I realized I had made a mistake. The outside was soft and goey not crispy. The food here is excellent! Loved the pork schnitzel and fried potatoes with a few bits of onions were tasty. The mushroom gravy was so delicious also. The pork medallions were tender and the spätzle was quite good, nice and buttery not bland like some spätzle dishes are. Convenient by tram or a nice walk from our hotel. Service was attentive. Immer Satt, which means "Always Full" in German, is a lovely place owned and operated by lovely people who are so nice and accommodating. Oh and the food?!? Sublime! Think we had just about everything on the menu. Highlights were the sausages platter, the French onion and lobster soups. For the main, I had the Hähnchenbrustfilet (Chicken breast fillet with pepper sauce, croquettes and fresh market vegetables). Delicious! Second visit here and was not impressed. The schnitzel was really good as well as the mushroom creme sauce. The fries tasted like they were cooked last week. They charged me 50c for one packet of ketchup. While this is a great location and good outdoor seating, when you pay 25€ for a dish, they can provide packets of ketchup. Just left me with a bad impression to by nickeled and dimed. I won't go back. There are plenty of other places cheaper and less greedy to eat. We went to this place 4 years ago as a group of about 30 people. Wanted to come back and try the food as our last visit consisted of so much beer and wine drinking that I could not remember what we ate whatsoever. On this visit I asked our server to suggest something that would exemplify the German experience. He composed a platter of some iconic items, schnitzel - thinly pounded breaded pork cutlet, very tender and buttery, three types of sausage - bratwurst, frankfurter (I ate a frankfurter in Frankfurt!), and beef sausage. All the sausages had crisp, natural casings with an addictive crunch. Not too salty, not greasy and paired perfectly with the yellow, slightly vinegary mustard. Everything was washed down with the house wiessbier, a wheat beer that was served very cold. Took 4 years to get back here, but worth the trip back. A very, very satisfying experience kind of like having a Nathan's hot dog at Coney Island, a Katz's deli pastrami on rye or a slice of Juniors cheesecake, iconic. read more

Immer Satt 2018 Really late review as I couldn't find the name of the restaurant until now. A group of friends and I had lunch here on a very hot summer day. The food was excellent I think about it all the time. We ordered a couple of dishes for the table but personally I enjoyed the sausage the most. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Four of us dined here on April 22. We arrived around 530pm with no reservation, and we were greeted warmly and allowed to dine prior to the start of the reservations. We ordered "the shovel" meal which included large medallions of steak meat and pork served with a nice red sauce that has sweet mild peppers. A small piece of tasty sausage was placed on top of the meats. The meat sat on top of both fried potato wedges and French fries. Some salad with a mild honey mustard dressing was at one wnd of the meat and some mixed vegetables were at the other end. The food is served on a wooden serving tray shaped like a flat shovel. Good flavor and great serving size. Very filling and good value for the good quality. Great staff. We recommend this great restaurant. read more

About a half mile from my hotel, Immersatt is a German restaurant. Well, of course it is being in Germany but the point is that they serve German food. Ugh. Of course, it's German food. Okay, let's try this again. Immersatt has beers produced in Germany on tap and their menu has schnitzels and sausages and the like. Better? Despite speaking only enough German to order a beer ("bier, bitte"), I was able to order dinner here because they have menus in German and in English (and maybe other languages). It meant a bit of reverse translation to work out that yes, "pork cutlet" and "German noodles"on the menu actually mean "Schnitzel" and "Spaetzle" and that seemed funny to me. My beer was poured fresh and I had a basket of bread to nibble on before dinner arrived. Two large pieces of schnitzel in a creamy sauce with a large pile of spaetzle. And some steamed vegetables. Big portion, very tasty. Clearly, there's no dieting in Deutschland this week. read more

Here is a case where there is a need for a half star. This place was better than 4 stars. The food was awesome. We are visiting from the US and came across this place. We asked the server for suggestions. He said we should have the German Plate. Great call Sir. The pig knuckle was the center. Delicious. That was surrounded by the freshest sausage I ever ate. All different, all great. The schnitzel came with two sauces. Both incredible. The red cabbage and sauerkraut were both awesome as well. Add some points for the outside terrace. The combo Rump Steak and Pork Loin, each with a distinct cream-based sauce we're good, if a touch dry. The accompanying potato and vegetable were uneventful. Reasonably close to the Messe, this place was understandably booked for the evening. The rule in Frankfurt, if you're here for a show, make reservations early, or prepare to dine before 6:30. A beautiful restaurant! We were very fortunate to find this lovely restaurant that was open on Christmas Day. We called and were able to make a reservation. There was a special Christmas menu. We had the rump steak and duck. Both were delicious. The service was impeccable, even though they were busy. What was most special about this restaurant was the warm ambiance. I wish I would have taken a picture. The soft, twinkling lights and festive Christmas decorations were lovely. My favorite was the Gebackene Apfelringe in Zimtzucker (baked apple rings in cinnamon sugar). You must try it! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Immersatt; from the kind and friendly staff, the authentic German ambiance, the food (rich and flavorful), and finally the alcohol. Immersatt has both a German and English menu, which was most helpful for me, since I just moved to Frankfurt recently. The staff here made me feel welcome, and not so out of place. They suggested different dishes for me to try, and were very inviting. We got the Christmas goose, which was excellent, as well as a mix of authentic German sausages. Both were fantastic. I also ordered the Apfelweine. It was my first time trying this drink, and I can already tell I'll be drinking a lot of it during my time here. Very delicious place! Loved the food, beer, and wine. Service was fast and friendly. The schnitzel was excellent and the pork tenderloin was outstanding. Even the chicken nuggets we ordered for our 3 year old were tasty. While we waited for our meals, we could over hear the chef pounding out our schnitzels, and chicken nuggets by hand- very cool! I had a glass of Riesling with my dinner. Smooth, and light , with a hint or sweetness. The finish was just perfect! I never drink Riesling back in the states, but here it is a totally different story! Call ahead to get a seat. Or go early before the dinner rush. read more

It was tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. And the salad was not an ordinary salad. It also had a small carrot slaw on the side. I will start with the only negative about the restaurant... From what I could ascertain, it is located in a sketchy, poorly-lit area. I personally would not walk there alone. While dining, a man walked in with blood running down his face. Who knows, but it was shocking to see. The restaurant is not large but it does make it a cozy feeling room. FYI, even in the winter, the place was HOT, since the kitchen was running full throttle. We had reservations for a large group, thankfully. The waiters were nothing less than top-notch. We could not decide on which red wine to have, so one of the diners asked for one. When he did not like it, the waiter didn't even bat an eye and happily opened another to try. This one was tasty, so we ordered several bottles. Bread baskets were delivered, along with a decadent garlic cheese spread. OMG, so fricken good! We all ordered appetizers and my choice was a lobster bisque. Dear Lord above, I scraped the bowl is was that delicious. I mean, I still think about that soup it was that good! It was a large group and everyone was happy with the apps and main entrees. The meat-eaters loved the German schnitzel and pork knuckle (ick), and I opted for the salmon with spinach. Cooked perfectly and arrived hot. The service was incredible and we were checked on often. They were friendly and spoke English, so there were no problems with ordered.
