There is a lounge on the 1st floor, art table on the second, and reclining sofa area/mini-library on the third. There is also a terrace with an incredible view on the third floor. All the staff are very nice and helpful and there is daily service to the rooms. HBR definitely played a part in making our stay in the area enjoyable.

The Staff was really nice (other than the few Managers that dislike Americans which is normal in Europe) and the restaurant was REALLY GOOD. The price was about half the price of comparable hotels some that didn't even have AC. The AC in this hotel was great and they also had fresh mountain water dispensers with and without gas in the hallways near the elevators. This place was a really, really nice experience.

5* no contest on this one…read more I have left CH 2 yrs ago and back ten I loved going there on a sunday afternoon any season to enjoy a niceclub sandwich. And over the years it was always outstanding. Yes it's pricey but boy do you get our money worth, the setting is great, a nice old fashioned smallish luxury palace on the lakeside. The terrace is a true highlight, as you face the magnificant french alps and indulge your snack, lunch or dinner the only noise that might disturb this very quiet is the horn of a "belle époque" ship on the lake ! The rooms are very comfortable, if you are lucky to have a lakeview the confort level reaches obscene levels. Having grown up in the area, I thought I was used to the view, which I found out was not the case at all. This is a new perspective when you are lying in your bed contemplating it is really something unique. So since I don't live in CH anymore I always take the time to get off the highway when driving past Vevey t grab a bite or have a coffee, and I have NEVER been dissapointed :-)

While the salads were simple they were beautiful. A delicious vinaigrette that made one want to just keep eating lettuce! I saved a bit of mine so that I could dip my veal in if need be. Didn't need it but it was good on it. The veal was cooked to perfection. The fries were addictive. We both tried but both had to leaves some fries. Portions were very nice size. Le Mazot is not a large restaurant. It probably seats about 30 inside and has an outdoor area that can accommodate about the same. On our visit both areas were full. One lady, possibly the owner, worked the whole area. She was great. Highly recommend making a reservation for lunch or dinner. It is fantastic.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't really memorable either. I'll probably stick with a beef tartare moving forward. On the other hand, their cheese fondue was memorable! A big pot of molten and winy cheese, long-handled forks, plenty of good crusty bread, and a couple of bottles of the local red made this a fully satisfying and convivial treat on a frosty December evening in Switzerland. The place filled quickly with locals and became a very cheery and festive night. Great fun!
