We'd been wondering about this cute sprawling old Italian restaurant since friends of ours moved in down the street. The white lights, the sign "Since 1964" the caricature cutout all made the outside seem like either a total family-friendly find from another time or a potential frozen food fail. But come Valentines a bunch of us got dolled up and went to try it out. And we were not disappointed! The calamari and eggplant parma were the biggest hits I think, huge inexpensive portions with nice fresh flavour and textures. The house wine was tasty and affordable, the garlic bread came with fresh bruschetta, and the service was just as you'd wish - friendly and smooth and helpful and not overly obtrusive. Cozy, filling and easy going - highly recommended for families in the area.

Revisiting No900 six months after my last trip to Montreal and the staff that I'd gotten to…read morerecognize and know by name were not present, and that was slightly sad. However, the staff I encountered this time were just as efficient, energetic, and competent. The pizza, which I chose to build this time, was excellent as always. One word of caution that if you use their online ordering and are therefore routed to Toast or some other order service: I could swear that I was shown that the order would be started immediately and ready in 25-35 minutes. When I arrived at No900 about 25 minutes later I was told that the order had been configured to be ready at a certain time, and that time was about 25 minutes in the future from the time I arrived. I was shown the order info and can't deny the fact...but that isn't what I thought I ordered, so pay close attention to what is shown when ordering online so you get what you want.

Wish they would have told us it was going to be last call before we tried to order one more drink. The server told us that the bar closed ten minutes ago, and was very apologetic. So we ordered another pizza to go. We also had our last meal there. It was a little busy and they were short-staffed so they did not come around much and it took a long time to get our food that time. But it was worth it. Pizza is very good. So we're the meatballs.

Montreal now has world class pizza! After many years of coming here and being forced to eat…read morepoutine, smoked meat, great steaks, and Canadian interpretations on various cuisines ... I now have a pizza option that rivals the best of NY, New Haven, and all the rest! Pizza Bouquet is labeled as a hybrid of other styles (NY and New Haven) and they are spot on ... more leaning to the NY version. This is exceptional pizza created by an energetic and passionate staff. I have only been there once, but in that short visit it was obvious that the pizza reflects the people that work there ... creative, fun, unique, and welcoming. They sell several great pies and actually offer both slices and whole pies. I ordered a pepperoni and hot pepper pie but as I sat there I had to get a slice of their upside down pie. While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. Overall, this is a destination pizza in my book ,,, welcome to the world of pizza relevance Pizza Bouquet ... you guys do it right. Special shout out to the lovely ladies that danced through the entire preparation of my pie. Loved everything about this place!

New Montreal style pizza…read more Considering I've not heard of or tried "old Montreal style pizza"; just sayin'. The crust, similar to the NYC pie. Thin, gently crisp, some chew and char. Easily foldable. Follow it up with just the right amount of quality ingredients are brought together in just the right proportions with quirky flair. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.

We were looking for a restaurant to celebrate my older daughter's birthday for a large group. This…read moreplace was recommended by a family member. I had researched it beforehand, and with all the excellent reviews and its prime location, I booked a table for 8. Let me tell you, it is one of THE best restaurants we've dined at here in Montreal. Location: It is nestled on the heart of Old Montreal- one of the prettiest parts of the city. Parking spots are found on the street- but be careful as this touristy part is notorious for giving out tickets. The best is to park in the science center garage close by - it's a bit pricy for $35 to park but you will not lose patience scavenging for a spot! The walk is also nice too. The service: We immediately were greeted by a hostess and seated at our table. We had a friendly waiter who provided great suggestions and pairings. He made sure to check on us through our dinner which we really appreciated. Food: Now the best part... the food was delicious!! We had a few appetizers to start: crispy calamari, arancini and a Caesar salad. They pride on their pizza being "authentic" Italian and after taking one bite, you can say yes it is! The crust is cooked to perfection, and they have many selection- we chose a classic margarita for the kids - and salame for the adults. Both were gobbled up quickly! Finally, we had said it was for a birthday celebration. And they brought out two beautiful dessert pizzas!!! I've NEVER tried anything like that before. They were absolutely delicious. Not only did we get one, but TWO which was more then enough for each member in our group to have one (and in my kids case, two or three haha). It was a major highlight to the night! So I definitely recommend coming here to celebrate special occasions as it will leave a memorable mark for you and each guest. I will definitely be back again soon!!!
