The area is mostly shady and has a nice feel, but tables are rather closely spaced, and if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke, you might not enjoy this. A carafe of water, our wine, and a basket of not-so-fresh crusty bread (uncubed) came first. Then the fondue (in a cast iron pot), my gazpacho, and my husband's salad arrived. The waiter offered a half portion of salad, which was perfect. My gazpacho was slightly textured, had hints of garlic, onion, and peppers, and came with mini-croutons. It was perfect on that hot afternoon. But the star of our lunch was the amazing fondue, which was thick and flavorful.
