I'm always surprised at how few people know this restaurant and how little it shows up on places like Yelp. For us it's the Geneva benchmark, the restaurant by which all others are judged better or worse. Few if any are better; after a year here our list of other restaurants where we wished we'd just gone to 3 Rive Gauche was pretty long.
The food is always excellent, the wine list creative, and Lionel is the best waiter in Geneva - not a place where it's easy to find good service. They always have good seafood in more variety than many places, I understand from my meat-eating friends their steak tartare is among the best in Geneva, and desserts are usually stellar.
In summer they have a nice terrace by an old fountain on a small cobblestone street, in winter it's a cosy but elegant retreat. Highly recommended for anyone interested in getting away from the usual entrecote/fondue/filet de perche offerings. read more
