During the busy season in July 2016, we went to check in to a hotel where we had reservations, only to find we arrived too late and they were closed. Since we booked through booking.com we called them and they found the one room available in the city at Das Lamm at 2:30 AM. Upon arrival, Reza Khorsand got out of bed and not only cheerfully greeted us but, took us to our room, provided us water and even prepared our bed! He invited us to breakfast in the morning. The room was very pleasant with many windows (no A/C) that opened and brought in a wonderful breeze. It was clean, had great coffee, comfortable beds, plenty of space and sunlight.
In the morning we came down to a lavish brunch buffet. Reza and his staff greeted us and provided us with fabulous service. The chef came out and stated she had tasted everything and all was good and hoped it was to our satisfaction. She asked us to let her know if there was anything we needed. The beer garden was relaxing and beautiful.
The service was spectacular and they went above and beyond (drying our wet clothing for us). Reza was very kind, we felt a connection with him, and it was difficult to leave. We wish we could have been there longer. He stopped us as we drove away and gifted us a book.
We went from being nervous about not having a place to stay in the evening to feeling delighted we had found such a wonderful place and it being a highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Das Lamm. read more
