Fantastic location. You feel on holidays. I did not like the service, I just do not trust their advice. The owner found cheap staff.

I have come to like one of the regional specialties, filets de perche, and my colleague said that the best was at Vieux-Navire. Was she ever right! There are five preparations of the perche in two different serving sizes offered, as well as a larger serving with three different preparations. I had the classic with fries, and it was delicious! The fish tastes fresh and is cooked just right, with a nice buttery flavor. The accompanying tartar sauce is great. The fries are good, though perhaps not as crisp as I prefer. I ordered the larger serving, which is done in two services. This is an added value, as the second serving is nice and hot when you get it. With the perche dish comes a simple yet very tasty starter salad (the dressing is delicious). Even the bread and the olives served when you sit down are very good! While the perche is the specialty of the house, the restaurant also offers a variety of other dishes, including steaks, which looked very good. There are some very nice dessert options. I got a chocolate cake (there's a lot more to it than that, but the menu is only in French), while my friend got the profiteroles. Both were absolutely delicious and almost artistic in their presentation. Prices at the restaurant are quite reasonable for Switzerland. Yes it may seem pricey if you're crossing the border from France, but for a restaurant on the Swiss side of Lake Geneva, prices are very fair for the quality, quantity, and service you receive. Speaking of, service at the restaurant is fantastic. For non-French speakers, a couple of the staff speak English. Overall the staff was friendly and attentive. There was always someone walking by to check on you. Also for a restaurant in Switzerland (where dinner can easily exceed three hours), service was very fast. We sat, ordered, and finished our salad and two-service main course within 40 minutes. We stayed longer because we wanted to, but it's nice to have the flexibility of a shorter evening if you prefer. The ambiance of the restaurant is also a highlight. It's small and feels cozy, with a bit of a nautical theme. I can't wait to go back when the weather is better and the terrace overlooking the lake is open!

Came here based on the Yelp reviews. It is in a neighborhood with several other dining options, but…read morethis was the only one with a crowd so we figured it would be good. Fortunately, the waiter was able to seat us at the bar without reservations. At least 2 other groups were turned away after us since there was no room left at the bar, and all the tables were reserved. Next time we will definitely make a reservation especially for a Friday night. The servers were all very friendly and checked in on us frequently (almost made me feel like I was back in the states!). I almost ordered the lobster dinner but the Yelp reviews made me curious about the lobster roll so I opted for that instead. Husband got the burger. He's not a seafood fan, so this place luckily had a burger and steak option for him. Both of our dishes came with a small salad (yummy sesame dressing), cole slaw (tasty not too much mayo like at home) and a generous serving of fries (so tasty and so crispy...probably the best fries I've had in quite a while!). I loved my lobster roll. Like the other reviews mentioned, it has a vinegary-herby taste, no mayo. So delish and it was much more food than I could finish. Husbands burger was also tasty. It was cooked medium rare like he asked, and there was a hint of BBQ sauce or something I couldn't figure out what it was. Definitely different from the regular burgers we have at home. We each had a glass of wine and the bill came out to 61CHF. Overall, great experience, tasty food, reasonable prices (remember we're in Switzerland after all).

I loved the simplicity of the menu because they have their specialty and when you make it the best, no need to mess with the rest. I ordered the homard entree with homemade chips (fries) and spinach with garlic. The beer I had was a Calvinus White and it was top notch and paired so well with the homard and hollandaise sauce. The chips were some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Food in Switzerland is generally expensive, but this meal was fairly reasonable even on the spectrum of high end prices you will find in Geneva, and the food and service is excellent. They were very friendly and kind since I was dining alone, and I had a great conversation with the two women sitting next to me. I love the ambiance of this restaurant, especially the industrial looking chandelier made of Edison light bulbs. This restaurant is a definite must try in Geneva!! Order extra hollandaise, it's that good!!!

I had the perch, the specialty of the house, it comes from Lake Geneva and was exquisite. The presentation was perfect. The salad that comes with the meal, too was delicious, healthy and fresh. Our waitress was playful and helpful, she spoke English and seemed to be a seasoned professional. Lovely vibe. The wine was delicious, a Swiss white. I will post a photo. I recommend this spot highly.

Atmosphere 5/5: Try to come eat during Summer time and reserve your table in advance because they're booked every night when the weather is good. Eat a dinner right in front of the Leman Lake and the Alps? Priceless to be honest specially when the food is good. Food 5/5: I had the Filets de Perche the first time and the Filets de Boeuf the second time. Both are excellent and were nicely presented. Taste was excellent and everything was fresh. Service 3/5: Service fell short a little bit specially for a restaurant of that standing. You will see a lot of apprentice doing internships here and they might not speak French nor English. So be aware that you might have some difficulty of communication but beside that, everything was excellent. A easy 4+ out of 5 for this restaurant.
