My dinner was served but my friend never received her dinner. Fifteen minutes later, I stopped another server to ask to have it retrieved from the kitchen where it had been sitting. It made me uncomfortable to eat by myself. They brought me the bill but NEVER brought me the water I asked for--FYI, they never offered water when we sat down and it's 90 degrees outside. I'm so disappointed. The people I was with are regular customers--unfortunate that they treat their best customers this way. My previous experience?? I was here last year with my kids and friends and ended up leaving after one hour to eat somewhere else. We were seated and given water but no menus. After 3 requests no one came. They are lucky they have an amazing location. Find another place to eat or bring your patience!

I tasted it but left it a side and ate every bite of the rest which was quite good. They have seating olutside and inside. A nice place to grab a bite if you are in the Lavaux region. The atmosphere is a typical outdoor cafe, very casual, smokers galore outside which is the pits, every spot is the second hand smoke section. The interesting thing that I've never experienced before is that your order is split into half portions. After you finish your first serving they bring you the exact same plate. I'm not sure what to think of this... I mean the 1st serving seemed like enough for most of the table, my friend who go a huge lamb shank declined his second offering, I don't know who can eat all that!! But besides that, I felt accomplished eating my first plate, a second serving of the exact same thing made me feel like the second helping was more of a task than enjoyment lol. Fortunately, i decided to swap my snapper for my friend's veal. I favored the snapper over the veal, ir was light and fresh. I would recommend making sure you have worked up a good appetite if you decide to visit here. Also it gets so loud in there we found ourselves yelling for conversation. Be sure to warm your vocal pipes too!
