I loved the simplicity of the menu because they have their specialty and when you make it the best, no need to mess with the rest. I ordered the homard entree with homemade chips (fries) and spinach with garlic. The beer I had was a Calvinus White and it was top notch and paired so well with the homard and hollandaise sauce. The chips were some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Food in Switzerland is generally expensive, but this meal was fairly reasonable even on the spectrum of high end prices you will find in Geneva, and the food and service is excellent. They were very friendly and kind since I was dining alone, and I had a great conversation with the two women sitting next to me. I love the ambiance of this restaurant, especially the industrial looking chandelier made of Edison light bulbs. This restaurant is a definite must try in Geneva!! Order extra hollandaise, it's that good!!!

Came here based on the Yelp reviews. It is in a neighborhood with several other dining options, but…read morethis was the only one with a crowd so we figured it would be good. Fortunately, the waiter was able to seat us at the bar without reservations. At least 2 other groups were turned away after us since there was no room left at the bar, and all the tables were reserved. Next time we will definitely make a reservation especially for a Friday night. The servers were all very friendly and checked in on us frequently (almost made me feel like I was back in the states!). I almost ordered the lobster dinner but the Yelp reviews made me curious about the lobster roll so I opted for that instead. Husband got the burger. He's not a seafood fan, so this place luckily had a burger and steak option for him. Both of our dishes came with a small salad (yummy sesame dressing), cole slaw (tasty not too much mayo like at home) and a generous serving of fries (so tasty and so crispy...probably the best fries I've had in quite a while!). I loved my lobster roll. Like the other reviews mentioned, it has a vinegary-herby taste, no mayo. So delish and it was much more food than I could finish. Husbands burger was also tasty. It was cooked medium rare like he asked, and there was a hint of BBQ sauce or something I couldn't figure out what it was. Definitely different from the regular burgers we have at home. We each had a glass of wine and the bill came out to 61CHF. Overall, great experience, tasty food, reasonable prices (remember we're in Switzerland after all).

However, they were able to squeeze us in the first night without a reservation. They have a great (and smart) outside cold seafood bar. Service was professional and timely both times. 1. Escargot - Came out hot! Lots of sauce and very flavorful. Comes with French baguette. 2. Ribeye steak - Perfectly cooked, good meat flavor with salt. Comes with garlic butter. 3. Tartiflette - Very filling and lots of carbs 4. Creme brulee - Bigger than the usual and good! Warm and crunchy shell with a chilly creamy inside Overall, a great place with delicious food, fair prices and excellent service! I will definitely visit Chamonix again and will come here!

Ordered a pasta dish (sans ham), and my friends ordered the salmon and the veggie shepherds pie. I love how the menu is very authentically French. I enjoyed my pasta - tasted fresh and was well seasoned. I have to say though the show stopper and star was the dessert...oh man you need to get that blueberry mushroom. It's incredible. When I saw people ordering it I had to have it. It's a chocolate shell filled with cream, blueberry jam & cake...such a cute concept, well executed and tasted divine. Servers were prompt and friendly. Overall I had a nice experience here!

Juno and Jupiter be praised that he indeed is. I don't remember what we ate, but I do remember us being utterly floored by how good it was. So much so that in a four day stay, we came for our evening eats TWICE. The owner is one of those happy, lucky few who truly loves what he does for a living (and extremely good as well) and it is so evident in the food he serves. Heed the words of the first reviewer Crystal. Personally, I think it's the best food north of Napoli and that includes that wonderful arena of gluttony, Bologna. If you goto Torino, go here. If only all of life were that simple.

GO HERE. You'll be so happy you did. If you're in Turin (or…read moreMilan, or Bergamo,or Parma, or anywhere within a train distance), this is the place you MUST VISIT. The food was blissful. We had the fried fish mixed plate, the house-made ravioli with shrimp, the octopus with potato and it was all so good. As foodie tourists, my husband and I have travelled in most of Italy's big cities (Rome, Florence, Milan, the Lake District) sampling the best restaurants we could find on TripAdvisor, Yelp and the Michelin guide. I can say with certainty that this one, A6 Sciamadda is my number one favorite. Mauro, the chef and owner, delights guests with the flavors of his hometown near the sea. And the wonderful host (I'm sorry I can't spell his name) shares the story of the dish as well as the wine he recommends. This is not simply a meal. It is an experience. You may enter hungry, but you will leave with the happy glow of having spent an hour with a new friend. As travelers, we all know how it is. You search reviews. You look at maps. Over and over, we ask ourselves the same question: Will this be worth it? Worth our time, our money and our travel energy spent to get there. After a quick day-trip to Turin during our Milan vacation, I can promise you that it is totally worth it. In fact, if you begin by eating at A6 Schimada, you may find that, like me and my husband, you change your travel plans and book your next visit to stay here instead.
