A room in the back reserved for special occasions, with low lighting, sunken seating and an amazingly relaxed feel. What happened next was unexpected to say the least. The manager/owner entertained us constantly with games of rock-paper-scissors, dancing, jokes and even a strip tease! He was the life and soul of the party. Jagermiesters were given and drunk left right and centre as were his own special schnapps served in wooded boxes. The food was exceptional, so much sushi and extras and wine and fun and smiles. There were 10 of us in the group and honestly we couldn't have drunk, ate or laughed more than we did that night. The service throughout was exceptional, fun, friendly, efficient all that. When it came time for the bill it was simply split 10 ways and at first I thought they had made a mistake...... 30€ was all they were asking per head. We had drunk at least 10 bottles of wine, numerous beers, had a sushi ship starter that on the menu cost 60€ and each had a main course of our own! WOW. i would have paid just that much to sit in a corner and watch the show. The place is ALWAYS packed and I can see why now. Reserve at least 2 weeks in advance and if you're looking for a special meal with some friends then beg for the dark room.........

TLDR: okay food (if it's 3 stars) and horrible service/attitude. Could get better food with quality…read moreservice for much better prices elsewhere. The food was a bit too salty, the service was slow, and the waitress needs to learn common sense. The waitress and cook spoke Korean and assumed I didn't know what they were talking about, so when I went to pay with card the waitress made a snide comment to the cook about how people don't even ask and try to pay with card. This, despite there being a sign that said they take card being near the table. She also continued to think I didn't speak Korean despite me saying that my friend and I would be paying separately in Korean to her (which she did not understand). The food took forever to come out and was far too salty for Korean style cooking (I ordered teriyaki chicken, a Japanese dish, but it was still far too salty). The miso soup was flavorful, but again contained way too much salt. The rice was sub par and didn't have the texture or flavor that good rice should have. The salad, which came with the teriyaki box, was alright. The only decent part was the avocado sushi that came with the meal, of which there were 6 decently sized pieces. Be warned, they have tap water but it'll cost you .50 extra (maybe it's for the glass that they need to clean?) Objectively, the food is worthy of an establishment with a 3.2 star rating at best. The service and the waitress's attitude, however, entirely ruined any enjoyment I may have gotten from the food alone.

Very good food. Reasonable prices, good service. The place…read moreisn't the most appealing but it was warm and everyone was kind. A bit too many "happy" people :-)

Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food. TOURIST FRIENDLY…read more My friend and I were visiting as tourists when we got caught in a heavy rainstorm. With no idea where we were or where to eat, we stumbled into this restaurant, completely by chance, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. Despite being walk-ins, with drenched clothing, they quickly found us a table, offered menus, and made us feel genuinely cared for. We noticed many of the staff spoke multiple languages. The service was prompt and attentive. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, talented, and gracious...always smiling and checking in. I've traveled quite a bit around the world, but I can honestly say I've rarely experienced service this warm and genuine. The food was absolutely delicious, well-prepared, and seemed authentically made. The restaurant itself had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I'm incredibly thankful to the team here for turning what was initially a soggy, stressful afternoon into such a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

The chicken thigh yakitori was OK- some little bits were blackened which gave this dry bad burned aftertaste. The eel nigiri was really delicious. However the scallop nigiri tasted off, and unpleasantly bitter. The rhubarb dessert I didn't like at all, and left the whole thing. They gave me a chocolate mousse on the house because they noticed I didn't eat the dessert, but I didn't really like the mousse either. The desserts really weren't well balanced, I'd take them off the menu entirely. The cream was overwhelmingly sweet, rhubarb mushy, and crumbles perplexing. I get what they were going for with adding texture but it didn't work. The mousse was two note, raspberry and chocolate, overwhelmingly sweet. The worst part was about 10 minutes after leaving, my stomach started to hurt terribly. It was definitely something I ate there. I had horrible stomach cramps/pains and sickness following. I won't go into the details, but I didn't have anything else to eat and this came upon pretty soon after leaving the restaurant, so I'm certain it was from something there. Maybe the scallops I thought were off? I trusted all of the great reviews.. assumed they know how to handle their shellfish. Maybe the dessert? I don't know what made me sick here, and I'll spare you the details, but I'm stuck having to stay close to the bathroom now and I am not thrilled.
