They pretty much just threw together whatever they had around to suit American palettes, I think. I was on hour 31 of no sleep, and seriously unimpressed.
However, a couple days later was Sunday. Nobody bothered to tell us until 8:30pm on Saturday that the grocery store was a) closing then and b) not open the next day. Thankfully Le Jardin was open on Sunday...and they had tarte flambee.
While some people wanted to try their luck in Strasbourg proper, a group of us just headed down the street. We sat outside at a big picnic table, which was a lot more fun than being jammed inside.

Everyone else seemed to enjoy what they had, it was a complete change from what we were served as a group.
It's kind of out of the way from the rest of Strasbourg, so if you aren't staying at the hotel located alongside the Chateau or at the park for the day, it may not be worth going to.
Everyone who worked there was wonderful, too. When we were paying, the server gave us some basic French words we might need for when we need the bill or are paying it. And when we first were arriving to the Chateau, everyone working there who was outside waved to us.
