Oh my goodness! I finally made it to Restaurant Depot after seeing it and driving past it plenty of times. I have been checking them out more like stalking them on their website for months now just imagining what I would purchase from them. It was Christmas Eve and I wanted to bring some oysters for Christmas dinner the next day. I checked on one of my apps and they told me that they had the best deal so I definitely went straight there when I got off of work early. I was amazed and definitely like a kid in candy store at all of the deals they had. I've seen a lot of items that I have ate or purchased from vendors right here! So much so that I purchased an item to make my own and now I have four freezer bags full that I don't know what I'm going to do with them. I wasn't formed that I probably should have called earlier in the morning to find out if they had oysters available still. How the heck was I supposed to know that? The seafood manager was really nice and gave me that tip. Do you see all the fresh seafood that they have? I was so excited just to walk around I didn't even notice how cold it was in the refrigerator or freezer section. I would definitely go back but of course I would call ahead of time just to make sure they have the item that I need. read more

I've been going here for years. They have a lot of options and resources. Cleaning supplies, laundry, produce, frozen and fresh, snacks, utensils, and more. You name it they pretty much have it at a reasonable price. The lines are long, but move fast, and the employees are helpful. read more

This store has just about everything my husband and I need for the business. Many items can be purchased in various quantities and the prices are definitely better than most places because we purchase in bulk. On a couple occasions I struggled locating something in the store and employees always offer help before I even need to ask. Definitely dress warm if headed to the refridgerated section. I used to work there, Management is a joke. The head guy name is Tad or Ted. Another employee pulled a knife on me plus threatened to shoot me and got prother omoted while i was reassigned to the freezer. Then one day a customer had me cornered behind the seafood counter and was threatening to shoot me and then he came behind the counter. I put my knife at my side just in case I needed it and i got fired. But the guy got promoted when he pulled out his knife on me. Horrible Management. read more

I have been a member for 19yrs!! I frequent the Baltimore location on a weekly basis. 10 weeks ago I informed a manager that gold cow #10 was out of stock. The manager behaved as if I was bothering him and told me they were still waiting on the shipment. On 2/8/22, I traveled to Capitol Heights locations & purchased 15 cases. Since then I have been back to Baltimore's location at least 4 times and the milk still hasn't been restocked. Store associates and managers haven't provided me with any updates. I've contacted the corporate office, no one has got back to me I'm on the phone right now while I'm typing my review with Glen(assistant store manager). Cashiers are RACIST!!!Same as a paying customer, they purposely skip you and said they will get back to you once they finish with the other customer they chose to ring up even though your cart and you are standing next to her waiting to be ring up!! Half the staff are wearing masks that comply with CDC guidelines, and about 30% of customers are properly wearing masks (masking not enforced at all). Some customers are walking around with no mask on at all, touching packaged food items even. Tried to get out of here as soon as possible because this amount of carelessness is kind of ridiculous. I started this review 2 years ago and for some reason it didn't submit. Well, nothing has changed. I have since sourced out other places for 90% of my needs, but have to go in here occasionally for some things I can't find anywhere else. The notion of customer service does not exist. The lines are excruciatingly long, especially when some people have 2-3 jumbo carts filled to the top. If you only need a few things, think again. I've tried to figure out why they can't have a line for 10 items or less. Asked once, was told "we're not a supermarket." Yeah, well I'd go to a supermarket and pay more if I could find diced chicken someplace. It's geared toward the food service industry (or your church picnic), so if you need a 50 lb bag of carrots, a 5 lb log of pancetta, 20 lbs of pizza cheese, or maybe just a jar of pepperoncini as big as your head ...you can get it here. At near wholesale prices. Plus you can find all sorts of useful stuff like pizza boxes, storage trays, takeout boxes, just anything you'd need if you're running some food service. Quality of the items is mixed - some higher end, some more mass market manufactured. I have plenty of time to write a post because the lines at the Baltimore location on average are an hour or more long. Some tricks, wait until there are only one or two people ahead of you, that means you are 20 minutes away from checking out. At this point go back for your ice or other perishables. Otherwise your ice will be a sloppy mess. If there were ANY option to this shit hole I would be there. The frustration level is off the charts and nearly every time there are confrontations in line, to the point of threatening to slap someone around in the parking lot. The carts really suck too. If you want a great experience, go to The Restaurant Store. They don't have everything, but it might save you a trip to hell! read more

It's now cleaner and more organized than before, however they still suffer from lack of cashiers, wait in the line can take up to 39-40 mins in some cases, as a business owner thats lost of money waiting in the line! As a restaurant owner I shop here frequently. The checkout system at this store is almost dysfunctional. This is just today's very frustrating example... I just spent over 30 Minutes waiting in line, which ironically, said "15 items or less". I was third in line. The fact that the checker, Rhonda, had to recount the 30 item Cart ahead of me over 7 times as well as the lag time for any price checks or manager overrides is laughable. And the worst part is that no one really seems to care, at all. Not one word of recognition that the line came to a complete standstill for so long. Why can Costco master this large item check-out thing. And Jetro Restaurant Depot is inept?? I really wish there were more alternatives to this store. read more

Caveat: You need a TAX ID to shop here. You may be scared driving through the neighborhood. You may also be overwhelmed by the massive refrigerator of a room where there are rows like a grocery store except the meat is sold on a shelf because it's all one big chiller. I wear a sweater in there and it's freezing especially in the winter months. All the small business owners buy from here because you will save big. It's a guess sometimes what the 8 oz Angus Burger really looks like or how many Brauts are in a package. And don't open any of the boxes! There are signs and some people still rip them open to try and figure out the numbers but then who wants to buy that broken box? The guys will yell at you even if you lift up the flap neatly...and I was buying it for sure, I just needed to know how many Brauts were in the package! Haha. Received a call to inform me of a recall on products sold in bulk (suspected E. coli outbreak). Refused to compensate for products purchased and thus disposed. Shani/Sunny(?), assistant manager, was utterly useless and rude. From 2008~2013, I never paid tax because my company is resale the laundry detergent items. Every year, I just showed them my sale and use tax license paper, then they updated it and I paid no tax. But from 2014, your baltimore branch has charged me the tax, so four times, I explained the store manager, Jim about this and he told me he would fix HQ's computer system problem, but nerver fixed. Today, 11/8, around 12:30am I went Baltimore branch again, but they charged $15.84 tax again,so I asked refund, but manager(JIM) asked me to come in his office, so I went there and waited 30min, but he said he couldn't refund, but he yelled to me and was very unprofessional and rude, he was threatherning to try to do the street fight mode. I was so shock and frieghted, and scared, so I gave up the purchase and just came home.
