Great place to pick up items for the kitchen. Lots of stuff, too, for commercial establishments. Meant to post while ago.

Restaurant Depot on Copans has a wide variety of products. They offer fresh vegetables, seafood,…read morefrozen foods, drinks, wine, and many kitchen supplies. It is a good place to find many items in one location. However, there are some issues. At the entrance, there is a sign saying that flip-flops, Crocs, and high heels are not allowed. I was warned about my shoes by a woman at the entrance who did not look friendly, and it felt uncomfortable. But after going inside, I saw many people wearing flip-flops and Crocs, even on my recent visit, and no one said anything to them. That felt unfair. Also, the forklifts inside move very fast, so customers need to be careful. The restrooms are not very clean. Many times, there is only one cashier working, even on weekends when the store is very busy, which causes long waiting times. Overall, the store has many products, but customer service, safety, be improved.

I stepped out of the refrigeration area and the driver slammed on the break to avoid hitting me directly on my left side! I was 4 inches from be seriously injured or killed. Never said sorry just kept going. I spoke to the manager and pointed him out. Said he would speak to him. Home depot has killed many guests from the same thing. Now home depot closes off the isle when working. I would have never imagined going there today that I may have been dead or injured!! Before this a woman almost got hit and she had to run back to let the other forklift driver pass as he hit his horn over and over and over! I am also going to file a complaint with the latest company.

First off, I love cooking. I'm a foodie at heart. When I first moved to South Florida 2 years ago,…read moreI found Culinary Convenience on Yelp and was very curious. And it's OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!! Not just for chefs. Yayyyyyy. Fast forward to 2021 and I had asked my chef friend for a recommendation on a place to get my Henckels knife set sharpened. He immediately suggested Culinary Convenience and told me to ask for Aaron Michaels who is the owner. Well, this convo was about 6 month ago as I slacked and never made it here. I had to drop someone off to Ft. Lauderdale Airport and was heading to a local coffee shop when I drove by this store and remembered the name and realized it was the chef supply store I've been dying to visit. Funny how things work. It's a cool store with dreamy chef and kitchen toys galore. I swear I took about an hour just strolling through the store taking my sweet time admiring everything. They have EVERYTHING!!! Chef's uniforms, shoes, aprons, bakeware, pots, pans, knives, serving dishes, the small stuff, the big stuff...just EVERYTHING! I asked questions and started talking with Allison. She was very friendly and helpful. I was mesmerized by the Breville Smoking Gun and have been eyeing this for years now. I really want one. The one they had at the store is a professional grade one, not like the one you see at Williams-Sonoma or Sur la Table. She noticed I was curious and asked if I wanted to see a demonstration. Heck yes!!! She showed me step by step how to use it and it was ridiculously cool. Yes, I still want one!!! Ha. I inquired about knife sharpening and got more info on that. I also started looking at the Japanese knives as I've been wanting a really nice Japanese chef's knife too. They had a beautiful selection of gorgeous knives. I've been wanting a Damascus style Japanese knife. Allison helped me by answering all my questions. She pulled out the MIyabi and Kikuichi knives. The Miyabi caught my eye. I love the design and simplicity. It's a sexy AF knife!!! They didn't have the Miyabi chef's knife I wanted but said they were currently on order. A gentleman who noticed I was having a hard time deciding on the knives told me the Miyabi is a wonderful option and introduced himself as Aaron, the owner. I said hi and told him the story of my friend who initially sent me here. Aaron knew exactly who I was talking about. We started chatting about our mutual friend, the hospitality industry, how he started his business and a funny story about his brother. Aaron has a very enthusiastic vibe and energy about him. I love his excitement when he talks about things. He was down to earth and so fun. He even pulled out his phone to take a selfie of us to send to our mutual friend. Funny too because I was thinking about doing the same thing. Haha. Needless to say, I really had a wonderful experience at Culinary Convenience and I may end up spending too much money here. I eventually came back because Allison called me the next day to let me know the knife I wanted arrived after I left the store. I came back a few days later and bought the said beautiful sexy AF Miyabi Japanese knife. And brought my knives in to get sharpened too. I also met Kieran, the store manager, who was also very helpful regarding my knives that needed sharpening. Bottom line, excellent spot for all your kitchen needs. Be careful, you might go browsing and leave with a gorgeous Japanese knife. Haha. It's not a terrible thing either. I'm madly in love with my knife. Huge difference even cutting veggies and herbs. Go check it out ASAP! You won't regret it. Thanks Aaron, Allison and Kieran for the amazing customer service. I need to come back for that Breville Smoking Gun, because everyone needs one of those right?

Best bet is to get very fair priced but excellent kitchen wares from a reputable store like The Restaurant Warehouse. As far as I can tell, the store specializes in providing supplies for restaurants; everything from pots/pans to deep fryers and condiment bottles to glassware and knives, even everything a pizza shop could ever dream of. But at the same time, everything a person needs for their home can be purchased here too... We got tired of buying thousand dollar sets of pots/pans from Caphalon... and the sets always include numerous pieces that are too small to be useful and always lack the over-sized that we need (we cook BIG). We ended up purchasing all new pots/pans here a couple weeks ago and got all the "right" sizes and types of pans we needed, including the over-sized we needed and only got the smaller ones that we actually wanted. The guys at the shop were patient in assisting us and never pressured us into buying more than we needed or extra stuff we won't use. We've even returned to check out some other things and now are buying mixing bowls. Everyone here provided top notch customer service.

It took multiple messages and phone calls over the course of a few weeks to get them to send someone to look at it. They kept saying "we're coming today" but never came and didn't respond to our questions asking when they were coming. For many days, we stayed at our business wasting our time waiting around for the technician who never came. When we did occasionally reach them, they kept telling us to call someone different. Pretty sure they were hoping if they avoided us long enough we'd disappear. Finally, they sent a guy who "fixed" it so it started cooling but that same day, it started leaking water and ruining our wood floors. We tried contacting them again to fix it again and never received any response from the technician, business or manager we previously spoke with. Within two weeks, it stopped cooling again too. Now we are left with a completely broken refrigerator and totally wasted our money. Do not try to do business with this company as they are dishonest and irresponsible.

Not one thing that I got from them that was used worked like it had been refurbished as they said. Now, all of the new items I bought worked flawlessly but the used stuff. It didn't work at all. The alto sham- the thermostat didn't work and when I say didn't work I mean that it didn't turn there was a screw bolting it down prevention the nob from turning- purchase price $400 /repair price $150 The true glass door cooler- purchase price $900/ repair price $250. Didn't cool anything at all not one thing. Turbo deluxe freezer purchase price $900/repair price (they are repairing it as I type) the freezer never once froze never froze anything. Imperial 6 burner oven thermostat in oven was broken and no heat shield in oven Imperial Deep fryer- they never converted it for propane gas as they said they did. If you still choose to go only buy new stuff. And if you're going to buy new stuff go to a place that can offer a warranty.
