Balletje has a very small menu but the food is absolutely amazing, and tastes as close to home made as you can get. Kenny suggested a very nice white wine to go with my dinner. I was pleasantly surprised it was actually really good. (I don't remember the name of it but it was from Australia) I had the Beef Meatball Boerenkool Stew with the "This-Gravy" Sauce, so fresh, and flavorful. The only downside is there are no desserts, yet. I highly recommend eating here, if you are looking for authentic dutch food.

The servings were quite generous compared to similar offerings I had had in foodie places in the US. The pappadum was particularly tasty. The Gougeres Bourguignonne were like small popovers. It was just the right amount for the hunger we had.
