We found this restaurant on our first night in Paris, visiting from the States…read more Not only did the restaurant have great reviews, but they hand pull the noodles in the front of the restaurant. It's a small restaurant in Montparnasse, and we fortunately were able to walk right in for an early dinner. They had to pull a table back so we could scoot into a corner booth. The menu is extensive and includes wontons (raviolis), soups, and noodle dishes. Everything looked amazing and the restaurant smelled so good. We ordered the wontons as an appetizer, soup Lamen with beef, soup with shrimp dumplings, lamen with pork and Lamen with beef. We only waited about 8 minutes and steaming hot food was placed in front of us. Our entrees made it out before our appetizer but we didn't mind. Portions were very large and the noodles were chewy, fresh and delicious. We loved every item we ordered. We came back later in the trip to order takeout since the line for tables was so long. If you're in Paris, this is a must try!

The noodle texture was amazing. Got Beef Noodle Soup and Sichuan Fish Lamen Soup - both were incredible! Really generous portions with deep, flavorful broth that had the perfect amount of spice. Everything balanced perfectly with those fresh noodles. Service was quick too. Definitely worth checking out.

The best Chinese food I've found so far in Paris is at Etoile D'Asie, in the 15th, on Daguerre,…read morewhich is a pedestrian street lined with vendors of produce, meat, seafood, pastries, and restaurants. The display counter offers about 50 choices (I am not kidding), ranging from dim sum to entrées, sides of noodles and rice or vegetables, and desserts. It's a bit of an overwhelming choice, but it's a fun problem :) Service is efficient and smiling, even extending to patient as people invariably linger trying to decide what to choose, no one ever rushes you or scowls. The place is filled with local regulars and a few random tourists who wander over from the catacombs nearby; keep in mind this Chinese restaurant keeps French hours, so it closes in the mid afternoon between lunch and dinner hours. Everything is incredibly fresh, with popular dishes coming out from the kitchen to replenish the sold out ones, and with a brisk take out business, the line moved quickly. Everyone orders and pays; if you are eating in, go sit down as you wait for your order to be brought to you, otherwise you wait by the register for take out. Menus start from about 6 to 15 Euros, or you can simply get dishes by weight. I chose three shrimp dimsum, which were light and tender, although I found the har gow dough a bit thick. I got a side of vegetables instead of rice, and doctored it with the sriracha and soy sauce on every table (I was ecstatic to find sriracha bottles on every table in Paris). For my main course I got 300 grams of the spicy shrimp, which were actually a bit spicy! For future reference I will get 150 grams since I had a hard time finishing this portion after the dim sum and the vegetables. Another day, another choice, this time I chose garlic chicken with a glass noodle side, both of which were wonderfully done and not a bit greasy. I liked this place so much I went back for yet another meal, this time the sauteed beef with peppers (not the spicy kind), vegetables, and plain rice. Etoile D'Asie means "star of Asia", and this place gets a gold star for Chinese food.

Little Chinese / Asian restaurant where I took away my diner last week…read more Food was really good, almost as tasty as what I used to eat in China, so that's a good point. They have a large choice of meals, from noodles, vegetables, rice, meat, dim sum, spring rolls, deserts, and so forth. Take whatever you want, I am sure you will not be disappointed! Service was nice, I mean, the waitress was nice (I took away so there was not really any service). Maybe I'll go there one more time and eat inside, so I can see how the mood is. Finally, this restaurant is good for value, not too expensive, which is a good thing for people like me who like to eat a lot! For 16€, I had a huuuge meal that could have fed two people.

I ordered the vegetarian grilled dumplings and vegetarian soup noodles with a spicy level of 3. It was a cold day in Paris, so I was excited for some hot spicy noodles. The dumplings came pretty quickly within 5-7 minutes. They were coating with soy sauce, chili oil and green onions. Absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I devoured them in minutes, because I was starving. The noodles did take a little while longer to come out, but it gave me a break after my dumplings. They don't skimp out on the portions here at all! This was a giant bowl of soup noodles. The first bite was absolutely mind blowing. The broth was so full of flavor and spice without overdoing it. I devoured almost the entire bowl, because I was about to explode towards the end. I will definitely be back and I cannot wait. The total for both of these were 18 euros and that is a great price for the quality and quantity of this food.
