Traditional Czech restaurant with good beer and GREAT food. ***bring cash, ideally Czech koruna, exchange rates are bad in this restaurant if you use €***
Ambiance: 3/5 small cozy restaurant slightly off the city center and thus most of the patrons are locals. Nice wooden panels and wall decorations (see pictures). Smell really strongly of cigarettes.
Food: delicious! 10/5. Best food we have had in Czech including higher end restaurants. We wanted the hunter beef dish but they didn't have it.
Pork tenderloin stuffed with mushroom and blue cheese - the tenderloin was perfectly cooked, crispy outside, medium rare pink inside. The meat was marinated before hand as it was juicy and salted well. So good.
Pork tenderloin inside a potato pancake. Supper yummy pancake with shredded potatoes, you could taste the onion and garlic in the pancake. Pork was pounded thin. T
Even the French fries were crispy and flavorful.
Service: typical for this city I guess. We called out to the server whenever we needed something. read more
