I have a four year old Electric glass top Samsung oven. I believe the thermostat control panel needs replacing. Can you help me this week?

Hello, we can come out to check it. The service call fee is $60 which is waived with the repair. Would you like to book?

Don't waste your time!…read more Called for an appointment on Monday, March 10, 2025, for repair of my dishwasher (not functioning) and oven needed a new light fixture, and was given an appointment for "before 1:00 pm Thursday" (3/13). At just before noon on Thursday I received a voicemail message from Angie at Big Bill's indicating she was enroute to my place for the scheduled appointment and to call back to confirm receipt of her message, and which I did within a minute or so of the missed call receiving the message, leaving a voicemail myself that I had gotten it and was awaiting her arrival. When Angie arrived she asked the problem and I repeated the problem from what we discussed Monday when I made the appointment. And, since she was unable to get the dishwasher out from under the counter I did it for her. After only taking down the data plate information for each appliance Angie said "We'll have to see what he says" (without being more specific who he is) and "I will get back with you tomorrow". At this point several facts should be noted: 1. I tried providing Angie with the data plate information when I made the appointment but was told it was not necessary. 2. Angie left the dishwasher completely pulled out from under the counter when leaving. 3. I never received the promised follow up call after Angie talked with "him" the next day (Friday) as promised. 4. Angie seems to think it's perfectly okay for her to park her service vehicle in such a manner that she is blocking my neighbor's driveway (see attached photo from my security camera). Again, absolutely nothing was done other than taking down the data plate information for both appliances and leaving my dishwasher out from under the counter for me to put back. Because of these facts and circumstances I can't recommend Big Bill's to even change a light bulb.

Perfect place to find that part you need. There are even very low resolution diagrams where you can…read morekind of make out where the part goes. My issue is the cost of shipping and their review process. Shipping: they basically have one UPS option, the slowest and most expensive possible. I has a $14 sensor shipped to me at the cost of $12. It would have been cheaper and faster to place it in an envelope and use the post office. Their site reviews: they show 4/5 stars on their site for a reason. They filter their reviews and only allow certain reviews to be posted. i.e. their site talks about how they sell through Amazon for some parts and they wont allow you to state that it would be easier to get the part via Amazon because you are "listing a competitor's site". Also when i changed the review to mention the shipping cost it was again denied because you are not allowed to talk about shipping.

On Apr 30, I phoned to get a status. All they could do is send an email to "the vendor" and wait 3-5 business days. I had my microwave in pieces, all over my dining room, so I ordered the part from Ebay same day, then called SPD back and cancelled the part, because it obviously had not been shipped yet. Again, I was told the cancellation would result in a refund to my CC with, wait for it,"3-5 business days." And, of course, someone would call me within 48 hours to follow-up. On 5/7, I called back to get a status on the cancellation and refund. No luck this time either, but the lady I spoke with said it was escalated and someone would call be back within 24 hours this time. I checked status again on 5/11- no updates. I called again on 5/12 - again, no update, but someone would now send me an email with status on the refund. I disputed the charge on my CC and this ordeal is finally over. Back in the day, when Sears was actually Sears, the service was impeccable and things were much easier. Now, everyone you talk to there has an accent my 67 y.o. ears just can't process. They are all very nice, but no joy. This company is a train-wreck from the top down. They have zero logistical depth and they have no supply chain prowess in the least. At best, they take Internet orders and pass them along with phone calls, emails, or sticky notes and you might get your parts, or you might not. I strongly believe one of their best lines of business and profit centers are keeping your refund, or negotiating part of it out of your back pocket. Pissed doesn't begin to describe how I feel about this company. They could do much, much better and, so can you! Buy from anyone else, or have fun with them.

My appointment came and went with no communication. My husband called to inquire and informed that he hadn't received a call from anyone there, but it wasn't a big deal. The employee reschedule the appointment for another day. The next appointment comes and goes with no communication. My husband calls again. This goes on for a couple of days. We set up an appointment, wait for a call, no one calls and my husband has to call them to inquire as to why. The last time my husband called to inquire on why no one contacted him about assessing the appliance, the employee states that "I remembered who you were and your wife was rude to me on the phone. So I didn't feel that we needed to start a professional relationship on those terms" and immediately hangs the phone up on my husband. Neither myself nor my husband was ever rude to anyone, ever. Even if they felt we or I was rude, why wouldn't you contact me and say so as opposed to rescheduling my appointments with no intent to ever come out and look at the appliance. I have worked in customer service for years and this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever received in my entire life. Very unprofessional and RUDE! Which is what they claim I was to them. DO NOT PATRONIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
