Most equipment is very old and not in the best condition but everything works as it should. And exercise doesn't have to be shiny and new to work well. There are a few items that are missing, but overall you can get a full workout here with no issues. Another great thing is its never crowded and there is plenty of easy parking behind the building. Staff is also friendly and helpful. One shortcoming is the lack of any type locker room. There are only two small unisex bathrooms. Barely enough room to wash your hands, let alone change into workout clothes. And with no lockers available most members just put their items in piles in corners on the floor around the workout area. This is the only gym Ive ever seen with no lockers. But overall its a fine gym

After a couple more 1:1 visits I was able to start exercising again so naturally I began attending yoga classes at Inner Freedom Yoga. I love the Anusara style of yoga that they teach, their focus on proper alignment, the use of props and the way they help everyone to feel comfortable no matter your prior experience with yoga, or lack there of. I love Robyn's classes and have been pleasantly surprised when she has been out of town and I got to experience the other teachers too. I enjoy both of these instructors very much. Robyn is tender, her approach is restorative and and I can transition into poses with ease. Patrick's Tuesday night class has definitely pushed me out of my comfort zones for growth, and he is very sweet and supportive. I would recommend anyone to this wonderful space and take advantage of the great teachers and programs our community has to offer. The center offers mats, blankets, blocks and straps for anyone who doesn't have equipment. Music usually is lightly playing while the class is going, which I enjoy. Robyn offers 10 classes from IFY instructors for $85, which I took advantage of for sure!

I have always had good experiences with any teachers here, but I must shout out Shemaia for her teaching methods in particular as hers is the class I attend most frequently. She melds together an active and yin practice so beautifully and really encourages us to do things in our practice that will help us age gracefully which I really appreciate. Of course you can't go wrong with any of the other teachers either, Peggy is an icon, Geneva brings the most juicy yin classes and Brother V's tea class is the only one of its kind around.
