Yesterday I picked up a beautiful walker funded by Medicare. My experience with Respiratory Care Plus was totally professional in every way. Various medical equipment is on display and available to try out. Manager Cynthia is a delightful young lady who explained all the specifics of the walker I purchased and even carried it out to my car for me. She also offered help at no cost if any problems occur with the walker in the future, The financial purchasing process was quick and efficient. I had a very difficult insurnace to deal with, it was very hard to jump through Medicares hoops to get equipment for a patient that needed a hospital bed and wheelchair. Customer service has been exceedingly poor. I've been trying to get my 96 year old father ( a WWII vet and retired law enforcement officer) the wheelchair his MD ordered for several months. There is one delay after another and they aren't polite or helpful. They seem to just not care. At this rate my father will probably not live long enough to use the ordered wheelchair that he asks me for every time I see him. read more

They are always professional and willing to help not only me but the resident and getting them their DME in a timely faction. My experience with this agency has always been pleasant but biggest kudos to Jessica Caballero, she always goes above and beyond and is always there to assist me and ultimately my resident. I have now been receiving DME renewable supplies from Respiratory Care Plus for several years. The supplies are for CPAP treatment. I am a Medicare patient with a solid supplemental insurance plan. Lorraine and the customer service team have been very helpful and did everything I needed in a timely and helpful manner. Occasionally, the Medicare system & the DME rules have been complicated and Medicare slow to respond but the Respiratory Care Plus team have made red tape and navigation much easier to deal with. This is the WORST oxygen supply company EVER!!!!!!! They keep sending bills to me & I am a MediCal patient! That is ILLEGAL!!!!!! They have threatened to lean my home, report me to the credit bureau, & charge me their attorney fees. When they told me that they were on the way to my house to pick up the equipment I told them that my prescription was for a year not 5 1/2 months. That I can't be without oxygen I could day & they said oh well!!!!!! read more

After months of using my sleep aphnea cpac I received a call from them informing me that medicare was no longer paying for my machine and my private insurance had declined me.....the private insurance company they mentioned was NOT my insurance company.....I tried to tell the girl I had no idea where she got the company she was billing but that it was not mine....she handed the phone to a supervisor that informed me I would also be paying the last months bill and they were picking up my machine....She was loud enough that my husband could hear across the room, she was loud and rude.....very unprofessional talking to a patient/client......I had no alternative but to discontinue the call...I immediately contacted my Dr. As I had just completed my second cardioversion and could not risk it resorting back without the cpac....my Doctors office called me back to tell me that Respacare had billed the wrong insurance company .....My Doctor was having a new company and machine delivered immediaty........ Within a few days I received a letter from a collection agency for the full amount.....this is definitely the worst way to run a business and jepordizing patients health in the process.... read more

I rented a pediatric wheelchair from Respiratory Care Plus in 2018. In November of 2020 I received a bill from them. This was the first time I had received any notice that there was a balance on our account. I called them to try to figure out why I was receiving an invoice almost 3 years after the rental. I was advised that they would look into it and get back to me. I have never received a return call. They have since turned my account over to a collection company!!! I am disappointed that their failure in accounting may reflect negatively on my credit! I feel the appropriate thing for them to do would have been to write-off the balance since it was their accounting error! read more

My representative Jessica alleviated my skepticism and stress regarding my initial usage of the CPAP machine, with a thorough and friendly breakdown of the machines usage and care. Respiratory Care Plus was very professional and knowledgeable when it came to assisting me in understanding my fathers needs and insurance benefits. It took some work with the Dr.'s office but we finally got the equipment qualified and covered by Medicare. Although I hope nobody has to need medical equipment, I recommend Respiratory Care Plus to assist in the process. Absolutely worst customer service on the planet. Office manager Terrie (who calls herself "the Boss") does not know the first thing about customer service. She talks over customers and makes ridiculous requests that critically ill patients call her to set up Medicare billing. Terrie is unnecessarily aggressive and obviously trying to seek private payment rather than submitting biling information to Medicare. Or maybe it is that she is incapable of filling out the information. Either way, she obviously has no concern or compassion for patients or their families when she states "we're coming to pick up the bed, or we will continue to bill until it goes into collections." read more

Terrible customer service. Poor communication with the patients and won't deliver the equipment when they say they would.

We needed help figuring out the nebulizer kit that was sent as a replacement for a nebulizing machine. We spoke with Patrick and explained the problem we were having. He found a technician to help us. The technician described the parts and walked us through the process of assembling the pieces. He waited while we tested the nebulizer to make sure it was functioning correctly. It would have been helpful to have written directions for assembly but this was very very helpful. I found these people's business card at my job so I thought I would give them a try. They have poor communication, they tell you they will call you back then you don't hear from them for weeks. It takes too long for them to deliver the equipment. I ultimately had to go somewhere else. read more

i have had very frustrating, time consuming attempts to understand my invoices. Both I and the doctor's office financial officer who ordered the equipment, thought the medical equipment was covered by Medicare, with my secondary insurance picking up the 20% that Medicare did not cover. After many phone calls to the Finance Department, we learned (after nine months), that Medicare had denied the claim. No one notified either the doctor's office or me, and I have been receiving several invoices for payment of the equipment that we thought was covered by insurance. Both the finance manager at the doctor's office and I have tried to straighten out the many charges that have come in from respiratory Care Plus. The person in their finance department has been rude, inpatient, and very irritated by my calls trying to understand this complicated billing system, and the financial officer in the doctor's office said it was like talking to a wall. When I called about the damning letters and invoices I have been receiving, I learned that the bills, with added finance charges, are generated from a third party and do not reflect any of the communication I have had directly with Respiratory Care Plus. I paid a considerable portion of the bill, but despite some assurances from one person at Respiratory Care Plus that I didn't need to worry about the additional finance charges, these letters continue to come in. The billing system is archaic to say the least, and communication with the finance department is the worst experience I have never had with any company. read more
